Most viewing schedule remains pretty modest: anything Denmark can win in + various fighting sports (taekwondo, judo, boxing, perhaps fencing) + football + perhaps some rowing + track and BMX events + Marathon and the 100 meters + maybe some basketball + and i might end up taking a short look at the gymanstics events.
EDIT:

How about leaving the politics out of it for once, it's a sporting event.
Considering that the motivation for giving China the "right" to organise the games was 100% political, that's a hard thing to do.
Anyway, for unrelated matters, I will only be paying even the slightest attention to 1 sport: cycling. Everything else bores me.

the USA B-team 4x400m swimmers just beat the world record in a heat
That's the guys who probably won't make the team for the final and they set the world record without Phelps....

Everything is just going bad for the Danish athletes. Tine Rasmussen, the world's best badminton player, is out, Linda Villumsen couldn't keep up in the women's cycling race, the male handball team has lost one of its best players and didn't play well at all in the first match, etc., etc., etc. |

You say that, but she was only the 6th seed
Britain got a Gold and a Bronze in one of the Womens swimming events The American Katie Hoff had a big lead with a length to go, but somehow the Brit, Rebecca Adlington won it by 0.07 of a second.

We have to find some excused when the Danish athletes can't win any medals
