It's surely a good news to have another game but it's even not the messiah

They can't be worse than Cyanide - and they have stated they will do, although it may be too late to make additions for this year's game.
Anyway, it's just nice to see something different, a bit of competition. I hope it's good.

I'm just looking forward to the final game. I'm not going to participate in the community, I think, but I'll definitely buy the game no matter how it turns out. |

I know I'll buy it too... I mean what the hell, I have purchased every release of PCM as soon as available, and we all know how that has gone!!! |

here I agree with you
Surely I'll take a look on this year's game but I don't think that they can make bettere than Cyanide, but who knows |

We got to keep in mind that it's their first year of creating games. They released a game 6 months ago, and that's it - so, it's a great task for them, but I hope they can overcome it and deliver a good game. |

Only good is gonna come from this game even if it take a few years for this game to compete with PCM.

The game was officially announced today, it seems. I've Google Translated the announcement:
Hamburg, April 2008: As the Hamburg-based publisher Crimson Cow today announced the successful Cycling Manager series with a new developer team, in spite of past doping scandals again this year. The new development team wanted to be but at this time is not yet known. How Crimson Cow further announced, the new sports simulation titled "Evolution Cycling Manager 2008". The agreement secures the Crimson Cow worldwide rights to the Evolution Cycling Manager 2008. Both companies are looking forward to their years of experience in the development and marketing of sports simulations to merge. Which company with the development task, we will in the next few days to announce.
It doesn't really tell anything new.
(Next to that, I've now moved this thread to "Other games" |

Yeah that doesn't tell us much. I guess we'll just have to wait a couple of weeks.

mmm, I'm a bit sceptical about all of this, I doubt that they can beat cyanide's versions the coming 2/3 years

I'm also sure that they won't beat them, but - and that's the thing - they will get closer if cyanide won't do more like the past years. And if cyanide will do something, it's again good for us players |

That the game probably won't be as good as pcm in this years version, but the point is that they will try to listen to us (which never was the case with Cyanide) and that we will therefore be able to help make the game better.

You can't say that Cyanide never listened to us, because they really did in the first couple of years (CyM 1-3), but then the communication started decreasing, unfortunately. |

Looks better than I thought it would - apart from the helmet, and bits of the face - the main thing I'm waiting for is roadie's and Miya's view when they release the actual files, to see how editable they are

Yeah, overall they look ok, but what the hell is with their face? and helmet?
EDIT: the face looks better head on, but still...
And the chainset looks quite good
