I read that MTN Qhubeka is the first african team to participate in the Tour, but wasn't Barloworld technically South African?
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Pretty much what Avin said if you base it off where the team is registered, MTN Qhubeka last I checked are registered in South Africa. The sponsor company Barloworld were South African though.

Ah, that's right, I forgot. So MTN Qhebeka is technically the first official African team, then.

They aren't the first African team, either.
In the 50s, I think, there were national teams participating and one of those teams was North Africa.
Strange enough I can only find French riders with African roots participating in that team. |

Probably due to the north african colonies France had who rode 'under' France (like South France, North France etc), I would suspect?
Cav tries to pay Tony back. Wise since he wont win today anyways and needs support the following days.

Seems to be correct, I remembered French-Algerians participating in the Tour de France during that era but I forgot about the North African team that participated. (Source)

If Sky blocks the road..and even Froome will be at lead group..who knows..Cav can have he's chance. Just 7 sectors..so far dry weather

Is this really necessary or a sponsor advert - we all need more specialist bikes honest Slightly hilarious that everyone races into the cobbled sector than gets off for a bike change and ambles back on. I'd of probably done it in the same time sticking to my aluminium tank and riding through in everyone's dust, would've been a lot cheaper too
