SN: Thanks. Especially happy that you of all appreciate it. Wanted to show the nationalitie better and with the exact same peloton in each race it's not really much work either.
ggDonovan: Before the race I completely agreed. The question is how much his bad day on the cobbles will cost him in the rankings.
FroomeDog: You're welcome. The Africans are doing very well in deed. Both from Project: Africa and Jaguar so I think some of them deserve a second thought in transfer season
fjhokie: Several strong and talented riders in there that got lost behind the top-top talents other years. I imagin Nitu's nationality didn't help him much to get attention. His performance here probably raised a few brows though...
aidan: With the ITT coming up next I imagine you might have to wait a bit longer for great performances. Any of your riders in top ten would be a massive surprise IMO. Haven't raced it yet so no spoilers though.
jph: Welcom on board. The Sri Lankans are doing very well and as you say there's a good chance it could get even better in the ITT.
Heine: Technically you've scored lots of points. Problem is that these rankings is about scoring as few points as possible
Anyway I expect the flat race to be the highlight for Volkswagen.

Rather low-key performance from the single riders' point of view, but at least there's Oz Cycling blinking at the top of the teams' results
Thanks for another report!

Great initiative you have going here, Atlantius.
Great to see so many nationalities doing well, I always like to see that.
Hoping for a fast and hectic sprint finish in Burkina Faso, buoyed after a steady ride from Anaya in the TT, though he was the favourite! |

tsmoha: Two guys in top 15 isn't too shabby though Anyway interesting to see the big differences between the team rankigns in the ITT and the TTT results...
jph: You called it. I think he derserves a little start in your shortlist after such a dominant effort
The Rider: Thanks. I made it a priority to get many nationalities in the peloton, but I think it also goes to show that people prefer talents from the big nations thus making them uneligible for this.
The route should make for a classic bunch sprint sp I hope you're right - at least that was the plan when selecting that stage. Short and flat...

And that's the final race done with.
4 teams within 2 points in the final team rankings and only 4 points between number 1 and 2 in the individual rankings.
A somewhat surprising but well deseved winner for me in the end.

Yeh, great job Atlantius! Very nice result for my teams - and almost an overall win for Shalunov.

Nice job Atlantius.
Nice series there even though the Rothaus campagne was rather sad. |
