I still need to tweak the numbers, but here are the general ideas for the next upgrade round to discuss. For this round of updates, I’m trying to address 3 concerns you have given me in the offseason. First, I want to get some more balance rather than focusing on 2/3 stats. Second, I want to give younger riders more chances to progress, as it was going a bit too slow if you have many. Third, it’s time for custom riders to go over 80 on a stat if they want to.
1) I will be reintroducing “support stat package” of +1 to Flat, Acceleration, Stamina and Recovery. It can only be used once on a rider because it’s kinda good. But here’s the catch for custom riders, you can only use it if all your stats are 60 or above, if not, you will not be able to buy this upgrade!
2) For young real riders, the natural progress will be increased to 4 stats age 18-20, 2 stat age 21-23 and 1 stat 24-26. Furthermore, for the youngest riders, you can already upgrade one stat during each season break. Remember, natural progress only works on stats you haven’t upgraded before.
3) Last of all, increasing a stat from 80 to 81 for custom riders should now be possible. Anything higher than that will be nearly impossible though.

1: Nice. Getting from 55 to 60 can be pretty damn expensive though. I think it would make more sense to limit by top stat. Say no stat over 77 or something like that.
2: Great. Will it come in action at the break or only after the season? When updating the FA's signed for this season it became quite obvious that most of them had rather big stat-jumps on especially the physical stats. Perhaps some points limited to STA/RES/REC could make sense.
3: Cool. Shouldn't be able to go any higher either IMO.

1) The plan is to make 55-60 cheaper then usual, encouraging people to buy that. It will be more expensive if the top stat goes higher as well.
2) So the 18-20 category can use 1 upgrade during each season break already. All the rest comes after the season. It will hopefully make sure talents will have enough chances to develop.
3) It won't, can't go from 81 to 82 this break. Only 1 rider could've done that anyway.

The only point I like in this whole upgrade thing is 3.
The both other points are crap imo, because you simply give an advantage to some players. Also when that rules where mentioned BEFORE you create your own rider, it would be no problem. But afterwards this sucks.
EDIT: Point 1 is nice, too.

Point 2 is not related to created riders, it's for real riders

6 WT riders and 6 PCT riders. Only 12 riders total can benefit from this (as far i see in my DB) of which i'd say 4/5 are inactive in the game. I get the theory but it doesn't work because it's too limited in who it can affect.
There's quite a few more with one stat under 60, but mostly 22/23 in age. Because riders were made with the older system in mind the one-stat system is still prevelant and the primary set-up.
As an example Krista was made as a balanced rider. But i still went for 2 55's in DH and FTR because those stats are practically worthless in game. Every actually counting stat in 60+, but it will over one season of natural progression to get those 55's to 60+ because i can't upgrade them with progressions points.
My suggestion: You must have the main stats (MO, HL, TT, CB, SP) above 60 or all stats above 60 if the rider is 22+
2) For young real riders, the natural progress will be increased to 4 stats age 18-20, 2 stat age 21-23 and 1 stat 24-26. Furthermore, for the youngest riders, you can already upgrade one stat during each season break. Remember, natural progress only works on stats you haven’t upgraded before.
I like the idea of a constant natural progression in each season part. I'd like to see a limit where Natural Progression can't take a stat from 79 to 80 or over, so it would just be a way to cheapen up balance/weak stats.
Otherwise it's natural progress your top stat and reap the savings on lower stats which i assume isn't the point.
3) Last of all, increasing a stat from 80 to 81 for custom riders should now be possible. Anything higher than that will be nearly impossible though.
I'll wait to see the numbers because this was supposed to be possible at the end of the season.... and it just wasn't even with WC bonuses.
It's hard to balance to make possible for 23yo's without making it too easy for 21yo's to one-stat. Possibly an actual age-limit to prevent U21 riders going over 80?

Typical. You take away our precious Lugano and replace it with a Swiss race we can't enter. More blatant BMC hatred there.
Are you sure you want De Maar in the race? It's pretty much game over from there.

Shush, you have Romandie and Suisse
And yes, I was in doubt on De Maar, but the guys has become a legend here, so he should start. Only riders though, so they can't control the race. I only left out Andriato from Neri because his sprint stat is rather high.
