Anthony Giacoppo
Another big signing to the team! Giacoppo will be the teams main sprinter! Having just left the Australian team Oz Cycling Project where he was part of the lead out for World Champion Matthew Goss. He now comes to a smaller Australian/Mongolian team to be the main sprinter. He will be looking to get a few wins this season.

Eloy Teruel
Eloy Teruel...This was a transfer that happened for 1 reason only. We needed a strong lead out man and a secondary sprinter. We got approached by Evonik - Elko and just could not refuse their proposal. With a transfer fee of 110k, Teruel is a great signing for a brand new CT team! He will be part of the lead out for Giacoppo or sprinting for himself.

Sylvain Chavanel
Chavanel was the first rider that we started talks with. Having been on In-n-Out Racing p/b Auchan we saw that he could be a massive workhorse in a CT team and decided that he would be a great addition to the team. Having signed on a 90k transfer fee he is expected to do very well this season!

Sam Witmitz
Sam is the first rider we have signed from the Free Agents section. He is a strong sprinter and will be a very important part of the leadout team this season with, of course, the chance to sprint for himself. Having started on the track Sam is a fast and strong rider. He can recover quickly and can ride hard on the flats. He is a very important part of the team.

Signings, Transfers and Timothy Roe
Timothy Roe
Timothy Roe. An Australian stage racer that will be the stage race leader of Fox Sports - Golomt Cycling. He will have some help in the mountains in the form of Barbas, Daspuntsag and Chavanel. This is also the same in the hills. With this sort of the help Roe will be able to do well in a few stage racers!

Gert Steegmans
This man is a beast. Gert Steegmans is an amazing bike rider. When I was looking through his palmares a few moments ago I was just amazed at the talent of this rider. Steegmans will be a great helper on the cobbles to De Vocht. A fantastic and very important part of the leadout team and just a huge workhorse for the team. It is so surprising when I tell you that we got Gert Steegmans for free from Gazelle. A massive signing for our team.

Roe <3
Too bad he won't get maxed that way (or what's his exactly XP again?). He could have been a nice CT rider next year. This year, he will fight for Top-15/10 I guess.
Steegmans nice. Like your team, though it ain't looking like promotion material

Some riders I will follow closely. Sono, Roe, Giacoppo, Witmitz in particular.
Still, surely a tough season ahead. Roe will struggle (needs to be maxed first ...) and so will your sprinters. The lack of depth in climbing won't help you either. Fingers crossed for some lucky results

Thanks tsmoha
and yeh. The team will need some lucky results. Hopefully we are strong enough in the sprints and breakaways to build up points there and with the odd win from Roe.

Gomna be a tough season for you bro, im still a bit confused why you wouldnt surround De Vocht with more cobblers. Hopefully you get some breakaway wins, as that might be the only way for you to win apart from the cobbles
And hopefully Chavanel is able to have some nice results for you this year, ill be rooting for you though! |

As a lot of you know the transfer season has ended and all teams are finalised. We have been planning our season and we thought we had an average team...However the CT predictions say otherwise. After having a 2 predictions so far we have decided to show you the worse of the two.
This is definitely the worst team of the continental division... I've never seen a team whose only option is a... cobbler. De Vocht is among the best cobblers of the division and could score them a bit of points. But as you know there are about 2 races he could end up scoring decently for Jakstar's team. They might have a decent sprint train but 77 sp is not enough for their leader to get more than 3 top tens throughout the whole season. Anything above the 25th position will be a miracle for this team. Sorry Jakstar...
In this we are predicted to come last in the CT division. It is also like this in the other predictions that have come out so far.
This unfortunately is rather true as we looked closer at our team compared to other CT teams. Our strongest rider is De Vocht and he is a cobbler. With not a lot of cobbles in the CT division we can't see too many points coming from him.
I would also like to say that signing Chavanel was more of a thrill at the start of transfers. I was keen to get started and it just happened. We have a section out of LuLu's prediction to share.
One other thing, signing Chavanel for 90k from In-n-Out is possibly the worst transfer I have seen this transfer window. FLA66, MO67 and HIL69 he is unlikely to score more than 20 points this season. In-n-Out, I congratulate you on getting 90k for such a rider.
Reading this for the first time I actually agreed with what he sayed...and to In-n-Out cycling, It's game on!!! I will have my revenge!!!

Clasico San Cristobal Review
A hard startlist here in Cuba!
Steegmans showed off the teams jersey in our first race in cycling!
The breakaway got caught and it was the favourite, Jose Mendes of Severstal-Mercator, that took the win.

Tour Down Under Review - Stages 1, 2 and 3
A big start list here at the Tour Down Under this year. This is our first race in our home country so we are looking from a strong showing from the team.
A stage that is classified as flat but is uphill at the finish. The puncheurs will most likely contest for the win today.
Sprint trains are set up
Gazelle is the strongest!
700m to go and it is Pozzato leading with Impey on his wheel.
And its Impey who takes it. They get a 27 second gap back to the peloton.
1 | Daryl Impey | Team Kenya Airways | 3h01'03 | 2 | Filippo Pozzato | Gazelle | s.t. | 3 | Martin Reimer | Swedbank-PEAB | s.t. | 4 | Blaz Furdi | Gazelle | + 27 | 5 | Jonathan McEvoy | Karcher-Adira | s.t. | 6 | Daniel Oss | Gazelle | s.t. | 7 | Cesare Di Maggio | Team Vontobel | s.t. | 8 | Marco Marcato | Team Kenya Airways | s.t. | 9 | Bartlomiej Matysiak | Fablok - Dunlop | s.t. | 10 | Mitch Docker | Risa - Ergon | s.t. |
No Fox Sports riders in the top 100. A quiet day from us today.
Another stage classified as flat but with an uphill finish. Pozzato is the overwhelming favourite for todays stage.
A much better day from us today. We have one of our Mongolian riders in the breakaway today. It is Erdenebayar Daspuntsag. He is Fahnert of the Netia - Norske Skog squad.
Daspuntsag has a good ride and gets a few mountain and sprint points.
The last rider to be caught is Daspuntsag which is a good sign for the team. He is caught with 9km to go.
Attack by Pozzato with 3.5km to go!
Leadouts are formed. Only 1km to go.
And its Ventoso taking the win today! 100m too much for Pozzato.
1 | Francisco Ventoso | Buff - Polska | 3h30'14 | 2 | Martin Reimer | Swedbank-PEAB | s.t. | 3 | Filippo Pozzato | Gazelle | s.t. | 4 | Travis Meyer | Risa - Ergon | s.t. | 5 | Oleksandr Prevar | Children of Chernobyl Foundation p/b Nemiroff | s.t. | 6 | Jonathan McEvoy | Karcher-Adira | s.t. | 7 | Petr Vakoc | Karcher-Adira | s.t. | 8 | Daryl Impey | Team Kenya Airways | s.t. | 9 | Luka Mezgec | OTP Bank - Slovnaft | s.t. | 10 | Blaz Furdi | Gazelle | s.t. |
Daspuntsag finished safely in the peloton loosing no time.
A stage that is hilly and is classified as hilly. Should be a very exciting race today! Favourites for today are Klemme, Di Maggio and Meyer.
Another succesful breakaway for Daspuntsag. He is joined by Watson, Del Nero and Hamilton.
Once again Daspuntsag gets some valuable points throughout the stage.
18km to go and the leading 3 have 2'50.
Crash with 15km to go. Steegmans, Haussler and Kohler are just some of the riders involved.
Another crash including Efimkin. He could have done very well today.
9km to go and the break still has a little over 2 minutes. Di Maggio has had enough and attacks out of the peloton. Many riders follow but none can get on the wheel of Di Maggio.
3km left and the leading 3 are still in front. Di Maggio is closing in however.
1.5km to go and Di Maggio is so close. Daspuntsag is leading out the breakaway group.
800m to go and Di Maggio is now very close. Daspuntsag is leading but Hamilton is coming up the left and Del Nero is still sitting on the wheel of the Mongolian.
Del Nero sneaks up the middle though and take a massive victory! Hamilton manages to steal 2nd of Daspuntsag and Di Maggio takes 4th.
1 | Jesus Del Nero | Grupo Nutresa | 3h20'10 | 2 | Nic Hamilton | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | s.t. | 3 | Erdenebayar Daspuntsag | Fox Sports - Golomt Cycling | s.t. | 4 | Cesare Di Maggio | Team Vontobel | s.t. | 5 | Francisco Ventoso | Buff - Polska | + 24 | 6 | Travis Meyer | Risa - Ergon | s.t. | 7 | Daryl Impey | Team Kenya Airways | + 44 | 8 | Filippo Pozzato | Gazelle | s.t. | 9 | Dietmar Mehr-Wenige | AMEX-Navigon | s.t. | 10 | Damian Shaw | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | s.t. |
1 | Jesus Del Nero | Grupo Nutresa | 9h50'38 | 2 | Erdenebayar Daspuntsag | Fox Sports - Golomt Cycling | + 12 | 3 | Nic Hamilton | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | + 16 | 4 | Filippo Pozzato | Gazelle | + 29 | 5 | Daryl Impey | Team Kenya Airways | s.t. | 6 | Martin Reimer | Swedbank-PEAB | s.t. | 7 | Cesare Di Maggio | Team Vontobel | + 32 | 8 | Francisco Ventoso | Buff - Polska | + 36 | 9 | Travis Meyer | Risa - Ergon | + 56 | 10 | Dietmar Mehr-Wenige | AMEX-Navigon | + 1'16 |
A great stage from Daspuntsag! He did incredible and was able to score us our first points of the season! We are hoping that over the next couple of stages he can chip away the 12 seconds between himself and Del Nero and make it over the top of Old Willunga Hill. Daspuntsag has a very good chance of taking the win here in Australia.
