Trainwreck
Ciao a tutti, this is the a mama of Mario. I want to complain to the world about the rider Alex Dowsett. My little Mario was going to win the a sprint today, but Dowsett was sabotaging him on purpose. Soren Montagna was doing a very good job, but then this a Dowsett came and ruined everything. Still, my little Mario fought like a lion to come back, only to finish a 4th. Colombia team management, I hope you watched this and do something about this!

Dear Mr. Guido,
We don't wish to comment on who was in the wrong, however Alex has apologized to Mario, and we hope that that will be the end of it, to be honest from the camera footage we weren't sure it was Alex as we were unable to see his British National Champions jersey. We also believe that the reporters of the race took it out of proporion, we understand Mario would be upset, but you complaining to the media wont help our situation.
Thanks,
Joe

Ciao Malaysia. I had to wait until the very last day, but I finaly won a race. Not having a sprint train makes it harder for me, so I followed the Bardiani train. They really have a good train, but I suprised them and took the stage. Personal goal achieved!
Unfortunately the team had a goal to grab the point jersey, which I failed. Markus deserved it, although me not having a sprint train also didn't help. It's something I'm going to have to get used to, especially in my next race, Tirreno-Adriatico. I really want a good result there, so it will be a matter of following the right train for me.
I am disappointed about the race organiastion in Malaysia though. It turned out they had no budget for tv footage, so there are no films or photo's of me winning. Still, I'm beginning to get a fanbase in Italy. They see me as the next Cipollini, which is a great honour of course.

Guido Provides Colombia's First Win
The great Italian sprinter Mario Guido provided us with our first win of the season as he sprinted to a sensational win in the final stage of the Tour De Langkawi. The work started early for our boys with Soren Berg among the riders who chased the break as the pack caught them in the final few kilometres, in which Mario surfed the bunch latching onto the back of the Bardiani train and providing a superb final sprint to take a sensational first win for the team. The race also saw a great result for Esteban Chaves who came home 6th on General Classification, just over 2 and a half minutes down on Diego Johnson of Orica.

Ciao Italia, it's a me, Mario! I have just achieved the greatest victory in my life, a stage in the famous Tirreno-Adriatico!
So the first stage was the team time trial, not so good. But it was good to see my old manager and team mates again. I thanked them again for their work for me last year and wished them all the best for the race. Ciolek even congratulated me with my win in Malaysia, it was very nice to hear that from him.
Stage 2 was a hillier stage, so something for Hanzen. I decided not to try to hang on and just finish, so I save my strength for stage 3. I know Hanzen is fast, but I beat him in Hainan last year and I can do it again in my home country. I followed his wheel, he wasn't going to get 2 stages in a row.
What I learned from Langkawi is that the team doesn't have the riders to make a good train, but that's ok. Soren was the perfect team mate and potected me the entire race. Now I just need to get around Hanzen and take this stage.
I realised I have become a lot stronger then last year. And here in Italy, I feel even better. I don't know how fast exactly I was going, but it was incredible. I just kept accelerating until the finish.
Granted, it isn't the prettiest picture for the newspapers, but I wasn't going to give away the greatest win in my carreer by celebrating too early. All in all, it was a comfortable win. But what a win it was. I feel my career has reached a new level.
I was really happy on the podium. There was some tension between me and the podium girls as well, but well, I should not write about that in my blog. But if you remember from my last blog, people started comparing me to Mario Cipollini. I may have taken a few steps in that direction, if you know what I mean.
Of course I won't say no to a second stage win, but I can already call this race a success!

Colombian Gold Mine Keeps Producing.
As you can see from Mario's diary above he took another spectacular win as his superb teammate Soren Berg shepherded him through the entire stage. It seems know Soren will be going for the Colombia Teammate of the Year after he showed his prowess at such a young age. Mario used the other sprint trains to help position himself perfectly and when it mattered he produced the sprint of is life to take a sensational win ahead of some of the best sprinters in the world.
A couple of days later Colombia's latest climbing sensation Christian Muriel, took what many believed to be one of the greatest rides produced by a Colombian rider as he got in the early break. Christian then took all of the KoM points on offer before providing a spectacular win, outkicking Hardy to the line to take the best win of his short career.
GO TEAM COLOMBIA!

"Montagna"
Ciao my friends and I'm happy to be back with a short entry on how the last days have been. As you see in the title, I've taken some advice from Mario during the 3rd stage of Tirreno, that it could be fun getting nicknames and I've decided to stick with this one, cause if you know what I'm about to tell you, then I'll consider you either being from Denmark or just being incredibly smart!
The thing is that Montagna means Mountain, while my last name is an old danish word for Hill, which makes my name to "Mountain Hill" or "Hill on the Mountain", which also is funny cause I don't know a thing about climbing! Anyway kidding aside I'm here in Italy, to race the race called "The Race of the Two Seas" and in my time in Italy, I've called many places here home for a while. My job is very simple, which is pulling our GC leader through the opening Team Time Trial with minimum losses and also assist Mario in the sprints.
Even though we came last in the opening TTT, I think that if I hadn't been here the team would've lost more time, but the main highlight has been a stage win for Mario in a WT race! I've taken a little share of this victory and hopefully I can content for the Top 20 in the ITT later this week.

You may remember that I pointed out Strade Bianche as a little goal of mine. I'm glad that I got a 9th place out of it.
Early on, Colombia manager let me go into the breakaway. This is a little hobby of mine and I've come to appreciate racing at the front ever since Burgos and Japan Cup.
In the break of the day was also Von Triesenberg of NetApp Endura, the later race winner. I wasn't able to follow his strong move up to Sienna, but I managed to fend off lots of guys from the peloton. Seeing as how I finished 9th place, I think I took my first UCI points. Like ever.
The race itself was really fun. I love those gravel roads and it was a constant up and down. I should further focus on those punchy races, and maybe only later try to get into the whole high mountain-business. For now, I think I've done alright. Looking forward to my next races already.

Ciao Italia,
After my stage win, I wanted another. Unfortunately, there was only one chance left. And it was not meant to be. The team wasn't quite as strong as last time, which can happen of course, so I was too far when the sprint started and had to waste too much energy to catch up. I did pass Hanzen again - that guy is seriously overrated anyway - but I could not overtake Elia Viviani. Nice win for him, second place for me.
This is very promising of course, it shows my earlier win was not a fluke, but that I am slowly becoming one of the better sprinters. Milan - San Remo might prove to be a bit too long and hilly for me, but flat stages are definitely something for me. Three victories in my career so far, including a WT stage. That's not too bad!
And of course, a big congratulations to Christian for winning a tough mountain stage in Paris - Nice!

Ciao Italia,
I'm on the plane to Australia now to participate in the Continental Championships. It's a relatively flat route, so I might be ok here. There are a few hills, but nothing impossible, with the right support from my team mates something is possible here. Some consider Hanzen a favourite, well, I beat him this season already. Still, a win will be very hard with the best of the best lining up. But it will be a good test for the Giro, where I will have to sprint against the very best.

Below are the race applications for the next season part, any of our young riders please contact the manager if you have any preferences in which races you are riding, other wise the manager will decide and then send you an unchangeable race list. Obviously the Giro team is already decided, as is Gregory Bernard's participation in the Ardennes Classics (Wildcard pending).
CT.4 Scheldeprijs [9 April]
CT.6 Klasica Primavera [13 April]
CT.4 Brabantse Pijl [16 April]
CT.6 Rund um Koln [21 April]
CT.6 Giro del Trentino [22-25 April]
CT.5 Tour of Turkey [27 April-4 May]
CT.5 Tour of California [11-18 May]
CT.6 Tour of Norway [21-25 May]
CT.6 Tour de Luxembourg [4-8 June]
CT.0 GP Kanton Aargau [12 June]
World Tour
WT.2 Amstel Gold Race [20 April]
WT.2 La Fleche Wallone [23 April]
WT.1 Liege-Bastogne-Liege [27 April]
I believe that Colombia should ride the Ardennes Classics as we have a potential winner of them all courtesy of Gregory Bernard, who will be backed up by a strong team, giving him a realistic chance of getting a top 3 or maybe even a win.
WT.4 Tour de Romandie [28 April-4 May]
Another race where I believe Colombia can add to the race atmosphere and progression of the race, the team will feature strong climbers, such as Esteban Chaves, as well as riders who will be able to get into the breakaways, and fight it out for victory.
WT.2 Giro d'Italia [9 May-1 June] - Already Riding
WT.3 Tour de Suisse [14-22 June]
The Tour of Switzerland is a race that is suited to the team, with a number of hilly stages that will allow our riders to show their potential. However I also hope to have Mario Guido the team's start sprinter racing here as he will have just finished the Giro, where we will be trying to get him a stage win.
Remember If Custom Riders Don't contact the manager on their preferred races then the manager will decide for them.

Signore manager,
Of course the Giro will be my top priority, but I would like another shot at the classics as well. Scheldeprijs and Rund um Koln seem best for me. I prefer not to ride Suisse, as it's a lot of race days with limited sprinter chances.

Ok Mario That's In You Can Lead All Those Races. Never Mind Fabrizio can ride the Tour De Suisse though if he wants, otherwise we'll give Jeffry Romero a shot at sprinter.

After a strong few races and our first wins of the year, the team is currently trying to regroup and move forward for the next season part. This season part will see us race the Giro, where we aim to win a stage and mabye the points jersey for Mario if all goes well.

Right so above are the races that we are riding for this part of the season, so can all young riders comment below which races they wish to ride in this part. Obviously the Giro team has already been picked so you can't ask to ride that, but otherwise can you send me a PM or post below which races you wish to race in this season part.
Thanks
