A really selective mountain stage there and surprise surprise Pedraza actually has a good day.
A number of lazy guys sitting including Ji who really is inconsistent I recall this guy having a stormer in the Genting Highland last year - he needs a slap. In fact in general a big big performance from CSC and Mobil this will not make their bottom feeder rivals happy!

What? Samwel just sits up despite being one of the best climbers here? No points from this race at all then, relegation here we come... I might have to sell him at the end of the season if he doesn't take a huge wage cut, just no results at all. |

2nd behind Oz in the TTT is effecitvely a win.
Berhane was clearly capable of more in the mountain stage but was one of many to have terrible early positioning. At least he was able to fight back to 5th, and not stick in with the likes of Samwel.
Great points haul on it's way for both Mobil and CSC.

Not too shabby in the TTT, but PCT beasts too stronk in the mountains. I'm not too disappointed with Raisin's performance, he stayed with them for quite a while

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

13th from Popkov after the mountain stage is just great, he is maybe the only metinvest rider who does not went a level down performance wise, from last season to this one...
But very disappointing TTT for my team, since missing top5 in our best discipline is disaster and nothing less. at least Zmorka saved the day in the prologue
Thanks for the nice reports!

Not the race I wanted, but at least Kono and Kono did something.
Konovalovas was strong today, redeemed his Bluff Hill failure.
Kononenko 18th in the GC is good for him... Topchanyuk was awful.

And he has done it!
This is very important if we want to stay in PCT. Now, just need more performances like this Walter, and we can actually stay up!
Thanks for the great reports Roturn! |

Arrrgggghhh.... Lloyd again a great surprise this time netting himself a Top10GC but it means f*ck all when Mobil take the win. It's been such a long time since Tachira

Damn bad race for Meiji. Feel sorry for you, valv! This one does hurt.
Damn fine race for CSC. Congrats, Mre! This one should be a huge points haul.
Pretty good race for Oz. The two stage-wins, we had hoped for, plus local hero Bennett putting a huge fight up Coronet Peak to finish as 7th. Quite a maximum result for Oz here, so another race, where we delivered.
Congrats, Mig! Huge showing by Pedraza

This was a nice race to report. Would have been even better if those 3-4 climbers would have been involved on Coronet Peak.
Special highlights for me Bennett's fight in his home race. And the good race of the Kiwi wildcard team Fletcher.
Also Mobil having a win is really nice with CSC dominating team wise.
A race to forget for Meiji of course. |
