Tour of Qatar | Stage 4

oi58.tinypic.com/262l7j6.jpg
Stage 4, another flat stage. We will try to get De Filippi a victory today. Something else to mention is that Frattini is not feeling well. We'll have an eye on him, and in worst case withdraw him from the race.

oi57.tinypic.com/10fxgxs.jpg
Todays BOTD was
E. Sella (DIA)*
M. Albasini (OGE)
S. Broeckx (LTB)
F. Failli (NRI)
M. Goos (BEL)
G. O'Shea (SKT)

Albasini won both sprints. The BOTD was caught with 26km left

Nothing at all happened after it, except a continuously high pace in the peleton

oi60.tinypic.com/jv281z.jpg
5 km to go and Nizzolo has a major advantage in the sprint. Rensburg and Prosev are leading out Kittel and Kristoff.

oi59.tinypic.com/1r7x9t.jpg
Flame Rouge and De Filippi has a tiny lead to Kittel. Can he hold on?? Nizzolo and Kristoff are far behind.

oi61.tinypic.com/30ixgqr.jpg
And Kittel is superior in the sprint. Bennati comes in second, while De Filippi comes in 3rd, beating both Nizzolo and Kristoff

Vuelta ciclista a Mallorca

oi61.tinypic.com/2z3xqmv.jpg

A hilly stage today, but a long flat after the last climb may give the sprinters a small hope, at least the semi-sprinters. But if many overall favorites breaks away and cooperates well. We'll probably see one of them win. We'll also try to sprint with Cunego, so he can gain the few bonus secs he need to 2nd place.

oi59.tinypic.com/2w3ztw9.jpg

A big break of 12 riders had escaped when the first sprint was reached, Glos was there and took the points. After a hard chase from Belkin, they gave up and the BOTD contained of 13 riders now, with Morabito best in GC. 22th(+7'32''Wink

oi62.tinypic.com/vcuvrb.jpg
Hansen (LTB) won the first mountain sprint, and Glos lost the BOTD's wheels for a second but caught up. On the second KoM, he was allowed to pull the BOTD, at a not too high pace. We also saw Hansen winning the 2nd KoM, while Glos loosing a little bit terrain but gaining it back on the decent.

The peleton contained of 113 riders.

oi59.tinypic.com/acq69x.jpg
At the top of the second last climb, Hansen once again won KoM. Glos had lost some serious amounts of time, and the decent was maybe too short for him to catch up. The peleton were 72 riders now. Av favorites still there. Gap: 3'10''

oi60.tinypic.com/148kf3s.jpg
18,5% incline! Cunego is leading the favorite group, counting 20 riders. Glos is about to get caught, but the break still got 2 min to that group.

oi57.tinypic.com/m9uef5.jpg
At the top, Hansen wins another KoM. But behind Cunego has attacked the favorite group!! He is not being followed and has created a gap of 50''. And on the "speedbumb" behind the climb, he has caught the BOTD. 1'30'' lead to Gr. Quintana.

oi59.tinypic.com/1e04fo.jpg
But Cunego understands that it is useless, and gets reeled in with 30 km to go. What a waste of energy!

oi61.tinypic.com/tala1w.jpg
3 km to go, and Uran is leading into the sprint! He is followed by Gasparotto and Vanendert.

oi57.tinypic.com/2rehy78.jpg
Flame Rouge and Gilbert got a lead. He is being chased by Hanses(!) and Mollema.

oi61.tinypic.com/2dqkh9k.jpg
But Cunego is the one to raise his arms!! He is almost caught celebrating, but this was a great win for him! He proved he was strong yesterday, and today he used his experience in the final kilometers. But to put you down from happiness, Valencia finished 3mins behind Cunego, and lost his great GC spot.

oi60.tinypic.com/sfjl1k.jpg
Another flat stage, but today we'll race without Frattini, as he is sick. He told that he don't think it's smart to ride. That gives us 1 less rider in the leadout train, but we'll hope that we can make it to the front anyways. It's also quite windy today, we might see splits in the peleton.

oi59.tinypic.com/2e0vhnl.jpg
The BOTD consisted of
S. Downey (SKT)
E. Petrov (TCS)
A. Malaguti (VFN)
M. Pozzo (NRI)
T. Buchacek (BAU)
B. Potgieter (MTN)

Malaguti won the first sprint, while Buchacek took the other

oi59.tinypic.com/2hyfqbp.jpg
3 km to go, and Katusha and Trek is leading. Kittel and De Filippi are far behind.

oi61.tinypic.com/2iaz8d4.jpg
Flame rouge and Kristoff has an insane gap back to Markus. He can't loose this.

oi57.tinypic.com/68ypgi.jpg
And he doesn't superior victory for Katusha. De Filippi actually manages to get a 6th place. We still need to work with our leadout trains.

Tour of Qatar | Stage 6

oi57.tinypic.com/n3rps.jpg
Last stage here in Qatar, and it's similar too the other stages. We still haven't got a stage win, but we'll hope to make it today. Also many of our riders have a good shape now, so that will count positive. And Kittel has a 7'' advantage to Kristoff, so the jersey will also be decided today.

oi59.tinypic.com/aylqhy.jpg
The BOTD were formed right from the beginning, the seven riders were
B. Potgieter (MTN)
G. Yamamoto (VFN)
M. Posso (NRI)
B. Johnson (DPC)
R. Mullen (SKT)
E. Petrov (TCS)
J. Kaduch (BAU)

Potgieter won the first sprint, but they were reeled in before the second, which De Filippi was the only contender for.

oi57.tinypic.com/1owygw.jpg
3 km to go and Orica and Belkin is leading, Kristoff and Kittel is far behind

oi62.tinypic.com/2e30nxe.jpg
Flame Rouge and Krupois and Chiccci is leading, De Filippi has problems accelerating on the left side.

oi62.tinypic.com/ao712f.jpg
But in the end, Markus is the strongest. De Filippi hardly passes Ahlgren in the sprint, what a disappointment
