I can't believe what happened. I'd resigned myself to second place as Froomey was flying up the climb, but he puncture twice, so I'm gutted for him as he would of smashed me as he finish only 2 seconds behind. Although I am happy to win as it's not often that I win a time trial, so I'm going to enjoy this win for as long as possible. I mean we knew everyone would ride to hard into the bottom of the climb, so we took it easy into the climb and then went full gas, and it worked because at the bottom of the climb I was 3 minutes down on the leader and at the top I was 3 minutes ahead of him, so we really got the strategy right today. Well this week we are riding for Richie, as the race has some decent climbs in them so it really suits his style of riding, as well as the fact that he is racing on his home roads, so he's got a lot of motivation. Personally I'd like to get a top 5 on GC and maybe win a stage, but that depends on how the team is doing, as if we have to defend the race lead, then that might not be possible. Adam
Yeah although Richie is our leader for this week, I want to try to win the stage on Old Willunga, as it is very similar to Amstel God and Flèche Wallone, meaning it is good preparation for the spring, and I think that the team management will understand that. Simon

I think that we have fielded a very strong team with Richie having recently won the Australian nationals, to show that e is on top form coming into this season. I mean Adam is riding brilliantly at the minute, after winning the British nationals. Thomas is a strong rider and a man that we can rely on both on the flat and in the hills, and has just defended his national title, so I think that he is going to be a key aspect of our team throughout this season as he is beginning to find his form again from a few years ago when he rode well on GC at the Tour, so that's good to see. Jens well what do I need to say about Jens, he's Jens and will always ride himself into the ground. Ivan Basso, Cannondale DS

Today went brilliantly for the team as we got Jens in the break, so we didn't have to work, meaning that when he was brought back we had a full lead out train to work wit, and it worked brilliantly with Gossy coming past me at the last second, to get the stage win in front of a home crowd, which he's delighted about and I'm up there on GC as I got 9th on the stage so I'm very happy about that. Today was another good day for us as we got Jens in the break, so that he could try to defend his points jersey, which he managed to do, and then once he got caught our lead out worked perfectly and Gossy got the victory, with Adam coming in second, which I think surprised everyone as he's not a well known sprinter, but he wanted to stay out of trouble, and I guess it worked for him. Today was a great day for us as we got Jens in the break, and he took the KoM points, then once he was reeled back in Locky and Simon worked hard on the front to shrink the group and then I attacked to try and draw the sting out of Bentancur, but he wasn't able to follow and he was caught by the bunch, and I managed to hold on for the win with Richie, Simon and Locky jumping out the bunch for 2nd, 3rd and 4th, meaning that we dominated the race, so that was brilliant for the team. I'm so surprised to win today as the plan was to work for Gossy, but it seems he let me win today, which was a really nice thing for him to do, as it means a lot to me. I knew we'd led him out well, but I didn't realise it was that good, I mean we gapped the bunch, and I think that I owe this win to Gossy as it was his decision not to come around me. It's even better because it means that I took over the leader's jersey from Adam, which I wasn't expecting but it's great for us and great for the team. Simon

Today we knew that Richie wanted to win the stage as he is disappointed about how the race has gone for him, so we decided to let him have a free reign when it came to the climbs, although the team were riding for me and Adam today, and when we hit the final climb, Richie attacked so we responded, but when we realised we weren't going to be caught, Adam and I sat up to allow Richie to get the stage as we knew that it means a lot to him. Today finished off the race brilliantly for the team as we have dominated this race, and we have won each stage and all the jerseys, which just shows how strong we are at the minute. I mean I'm delighted to get my first GC win in a world tour race, but also to get a stage win is better than I could of imagined, for this race to turn out, so Yeah I'm very happy, not only for me but also the team as Jens won the Points jersey, which is a great result for him as he doesn't often win race, but he's won that, and Richie got the mountains jersey, which is brilliant as he wanted to perform well in front of a home crowd, so yeah we should all be very happy with our performances this week. Simon
Today was another great win for us, as we were in command for the whole race, and I think it shows that our lead out train is in great shape, and that we are going to be a force to be reckoned with at the Giro and the Vuelta when we are going to be going for the sprints. I'm happy with my race today as I'm in 3rd on GC so I'm not to far away for when we hit the hills in a few days time. Simon

Today went perfectly to the team plan, we knew from last years race that those final two climbs, are a lot harder than people think, so we decided that I would attack up the first climb, and if they let me go great, but if they didn't then Richie would be in a good position to go over the final climb, except the bunch sat up behind so Richie and Mikel responded just in case I had to pull out, but to get the stage is great, and I don't think anyone expected us to stay away all the way, and to get 7 minutes on the bunch, is great for us going into the mountains, so now we just have to watch for Quintana, Velits and Siutsou rather than half the field. Today was another great day for us as me and Adam got in a break after the final climb, and managed to stay away to the finish where he gave me the win, which was great as we had worked so hard to get a gap. Then Elia and Gossy managed to win the bunch sprint, the only disappointment is that we didn't gain as much time as we were expecting, so Adam will have to ride hard tomorrow to defend his lead, but I'm sure that our team will be able to manage that. Today I just wanted to mark Nairo, and see if I could gain a bit of time in the final few km, which I managed to do so I'm very happy to do that. It's just a bonus that Richie won the stage and I managed to get around Bardet for second, meaning I got a time bonus, so that was good. I think tomorrow is where the race will change as the climbs are very hard, and we have to do the final climb three times, which will suit a breakaway. Adam

I'm very happy to win today, as Adam won this stage last year, so it's good to keep the win in the family. It was a real bonus that I moved up to 3rd overall, as Nairo had a bad day, and I was lucky enough to capitalise on it, so I'm very happy and I think it shows that I'm in good form coming into my key races of the year. Simon
Stage 6 - Flat Road Race
Today was another brilliant day for us as I managed to retain my overall lead, and Gossy got 2nd behind Degenkolb, but we had to work hard, but you can't win everything, so we are very happy, and I think that this win shows the form of the team, and that we are contenders in the big races, even though me and Simon are only young guns, it seems that we are able to beat these greats of cycling, so I guess that is a good sign for the future, but yeah i'm happy to win as the team rode brilliantly all week, so we deserve this more than any other team in the race! Welcome to the first bimonthly review of the season, which has been set up to allow Cannondale team fans, know how the team has ridden in the past two months. The season has started with a bang for Cannondale, with a number of wins including GC wins and stage victories.
Tour Down Under
The first world tour race of the year went very well for us with new recruit, Simon Yates dominating the race along with twin brother Adam, and Tasmanian climber Richie Porte. The race started well with Matthew Goss winning the first two stages, with Adam Yates taking over the race lead, after Cannondale showed their strength on the hardest day of the race with the team locking out the top 4 and taking the lead in all the jersey classifications. The 4th stage was won in a sprint by Simon Yates, after Matt Goss didn't try to overtake Simon after his lead out was so good that it gapped the rest of the field, leaving Simon in the race lead with two days left to race. The 5th stage finished on Old Willunga Hill, with Richie Porte jumping out the front group at the bottom of the climb to take the win in front of an amazing Australian crowd, with Simon working hard all the way to the line, and retaining his race lead coming on to the final stage. The final stage was won by Cannondale's young sprint prodigy Caleb Ewan, meaning that Simon Yates took his first Worldtour GC win, with Cannondale winning all the jerseys with Richie Porte picking up the KoM Jersey and natural hardpan Jens Voigt taking the Points Jersey after spending every stage of the race in the breakaway.
Tour of San Luis
San Luis saw Italian sprinter Viviani take a number of stage victories, which saw him take the points jersey, as well as a strong showing for he signing Mikel Nieve as he took 5th overall in a race that he may of preferred to have more hills. Another worthy mention is for Teo Geoghen Hart, who showed his future potential by remaining in the front group on the race's mountain top finish, and even managing to sprint to 11th place on a stage won by Vincenzo Nibali on his way to overall victory ahead BMC's Roman Kreuziger.
GP Bessege
This saw the return to racing of Cannondale's new singing, and last year Tour winner Chris Froome, who remained in the bunch until the race's time trail, in which he came second behind Jan Barta of Katusha, however a strong showing on the races hilly stage, saw him take the overall win by 1 second from Barta with Geraint Thomas in 3rd 10 seconds back. The race also saw young sprint prodigy Caleb Ewan take 2 top 3 finishes behind Marcel Kittel who dominated the race's flat stages apart from the final day which was won by Garmin's Tyler Farrar ho was shocked to have won ahead of the world's best sprinter.
Tour of Oman
The race was the second race of the season, that was dominated by The Yates Brothers, who took 1st and 3rd overall along with 3 stage wins between them, (2 for Simon and 1 for Adam) as well as the Points, KoM and Young Riders jersey, as Cannondale dominated the race winning all but one of the stages on the way to securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall as well as winning all classifications. This provides a great showing as the Yates's head to they're next race Paris Nice where they will be supporting Chris Froome as he bids to retain his title from last year.
Tour of Langkawi
The 10 stage race was won by Cannondale's Joe Dombrowski with Thomas Lofkvist coming in second overall, after winning the races key mountain stage. There were two mountain stages one being won by Lotto's Roman Bardet and the other won by Lofkvist, however it was Dombrowski coming away as overall victor after finishing behind Bardet in the first mountain stage and then dropping him by over 2 minutes, on the key stage of the race, after Bardet punctured half way up the final climb, whilst chasing Lofkvist who was endangering his overall lead.

With the commonwealth games, clashing with the Tour De France, the organisers of the road race have decided to hold it before the games, so that they can attract the strongest field possible. The team's feature riders such as the Yates Brothers and Chris Froome for England, Geraint Thomas for Wales, Pete Kennaugh and Mark Cavendish for the Isle of Man and David Millar for Scotland. As well as Simon Gerrans and Richie Porte riding for the Australian nation, with the Canadians and New Zealanders also fielding strong squads.
Due to the difficulty of setting this up here is a short guide to which countries are wearing which team kit.

Today the team rode as a unit today, we all committed to the task, and we knew what we had to do to win, we knew that the Aussies would try to control it, so we made sure that we had a guy up the road, which was Teo. Although we weren't expecting him to stay away to the finish which is a great result for him, and I'm happy as I've got my silver medal and Simon got the bronze so we are all very happy. Adam

Today was a great race for us as we rode very well yet again, and dominated the race, which I am very happy with as I got my second medal of the games, and Simon got bronze. But it was also great for our team as the top 5 were all from Cannondale, so that shows we are riding very well at the minute, and that we have a lot of potential leaders Adam

Today was a great way to get the race off to a start, as Froomey won the stage, which means that he's in the jersey, and has a lead over all his rivals, so that is good. I'm happy with my ride today as I'm not far away from Froomey, so I'm happy as I wasn't expecting a great result as I prefer the longer time trials, but today showed that I can be competitive no matter what the distance or profile. Today was a hard day as those final few climbs, were a lot harder than I thought they were going to be. I'm happy with my ride today, as I wasn't to far behind Froomey and Sagan, so that was good for me, but it doesn't really matter where I finish because I'm just here to work for Froomey. Although I moved into the top 10 on GC, so I'm well placed going onto the mountains stage, which will suit me more. Adam
Stage 3 - Flat Road Race
Today the plan was pretty simple, keep the bunch together for the intermediate sprints, and get Froomey in a position to take them, as we knew that if he did we could get the jersey back. So that worked out well and then Kiri went up the road to allow us to ease off on the front, and then it was all out for Viviani, who took a great stage win ahead of Kittel and Sagan, so we are all very happy today. Simon
