Race Masters Evolved - Some more contracts
The last twelve hour has been busy hours, because there were some more drivers who signed a contract. One of the most wanted seats in the field, the first one from Mazzilionia Racing, is gone. It's they 18-year old Antonio Panico who has it for at least one year. The driver from San Marino is very happy with his seat at the team which is close to his country. It'll be interesting who'll be the second driver at that team, because there are several drivers interested in it. The two favourite candidates for the seat are the Italians Arie DePalma and Moreno Costa. The German Sebastian Schumacher is a contender as well but it seems that the Italian team wants a driver from their home country as second driver.
The Swedish driver Kurt Jensson will be the teammate from Timothy Raue next season. The 21-year old driver has signed a contract for the next two years. Angelo Racing is the first team who has completed their line-up. It's a surprise that the Hungarian Jakab Zoltan didn't get a contract at the team, because it was very likely he would drive there this season. Apparently the team decided something else so we got a Dutch-Swedish driver duo for this season.
It's no surprise that the French driver Dominic De Forest will drive for Dunemonte the next two years. He'll be the first driver there. Dunemonte is the second team which announced their line-up for this season, but it's the first team which announced their line-up for next season. Both drivers have a 2-year contract. Dunemonte is already looking to the future. That could be interesting.
The 30-year old Canadian Nick van der Valde has a one year deal with Rantosa Racing Team. The seats from that team are also very popular so it's a surprise the Canadian took the seat at the Spanish team. Who will be the second driver at the team isn't sure yet but there are many names called for that position. Gilberto Coutinho and Joe Armstrong are the main candidates for the seat, but also the names from Arie DePalma and Moreno Costa has been called. It'll be very interesting to follow the developments around this seat
The Australian driver Martin Lloyd will be the first driver from Grove Motorsports. The 23-year old has signed a contract for one year. Grove Motorsports is the third team which announced their line-up for this season, because they already signed Ounheua Khochaleune as second driver.
With so many transfers already there are already many seats taken. Which seats are still free?
Antlers; Both seats
De Rooij Racing: 1st seat
Mazzilionia Racing: 2nd seat
Mohn Rennsport: 1st seat
Rantosa Racing Team: 2nd seat
Travinski Racing: 2nd seat
Wolf Motorsports: Both seats
Yaktutoka: Both seats

Ounheua Khochaleune is excited to have signed with Grove Motorsports. He hopes this will earn him enough money to help his family back in Laos, who are struggling to make money to even buy food and clothes.
Moreover, Ounheua hopes his participation on the highest level of racing will attract more Asian sponsors to the sport, making it even bigger.
Finally he hopes to be a source of inspiration for children from other poor countries.
fjhoekie,
Khochaleune's agent

@fjhoekie: Nice read!
@The others: You all may write such a 'report' just like fjhoekie just did. You may do it whenever you want, but it's not obliged. It's nice, but it's your choice whether you do it or not. (It doesn't help to improve your drivers' results but it'd be nice to keep the thread alive )

Race Masters Evolved - Contract, contracts everywhere
The Hungarian driver Jakab Zoltan goes Japanese; he has just signed a contract at Yaktutoka. The 20-year old will drive two seasons for the team. James Harden has been called as main candidate for the second seat at the team, but of course there are also other drivers interested in it.
The Spanish team Rantosa Racing Team will drive with two American drivers this season. First the Canadian Nick van der Valde signed a contract with the Spaniards, now it's the turn from Gilberto Coutinho to sign his contract. It'll be an interesting season for the Spanish team.
Seamus Doherty has signed a contract at the American team Wolf Motorsports. The Irishman will stay for one season at the team where he'll be the first driver. Wolf Motorsports is now looking for a second driver and it looks like the American drivers James Day and James Harden are the main candidates for the second seat. The Colombian Joe Armstrong has also been called for the second seat.
The Dutch driver Johan van de Berg will drive for the team of his country. De Rooij Racing offered him a contract for one year. Surprisingly van de Berg will be their first driver. The Dutchman has already said that he's sooooooo happy with his contract at the Dutch team. It'll be interesting how he'll perform with the South African Botha next to him.

Like that you have a South African and a Dutchman riding for a Dutch Team. How much of an effect will being first driver have than being second driver? And what else is there to do after all the contracts.

@SSJ2Luigi: Yep. Still eight seats are free.
@LLS: I will simulate the races with the game Grand Prix 4. There I'll edit the team and driver names. I've already done a lot of test races to see the results and to test new (downloaded) circuits. I can say that at some teams the first driver clearly performs better than the second driver, and there are also some teams where the driver performances are close to each other. After the contracts there aren't many things to do for the managers. You only have to follow the story and the driver and replies are very welcome here (f.e. a reply fjhoekie wrote yesterday). When the season comes to an end the transfer rumours will come and then we'll start with the contract offers again.

2x Silverstone. Well, that's a little bit awesome. Lot of pressure on the only British driver though.

Race Masters Evolved - Calendar
The management of the race league Race Masters Evolved has announced the calendar and it seems like the reactions about it are different. There was especially some criticism on the fact that Silverstone will be twice on the calendar. The management is also still negotiating with another circuit in the United Kingdom, Oulton Park. It's not sure yet that Oulton Park will be on the calendar, but there's a chance. There was also some criticism on the Red Bull Ring and Magny-Cours. Both aren't the most popular circuits, but it's good to see them on the calendar. The management is also negotiating with some other circuits. There's a big chance that Vallelunga, Italy, will be on the calendar as well. The Nürburgring has been called as well, just like Adria, which is in Italy as well. The best reactions about the calendar was the fact that the Hungaroring was on it, which is a great circuit. Next season the management wants to have races outside Europe, because there are also some great circuits.

Martin Lloyd's Blog
Section 1
Grove Motorsports is a great place to be. An English speaking team is a plus, and what I've seen so far the race staff is very nice, and I'm very happy to work with my new teammate Ounheua Khochaleune, who will be my second rider this year. Riding for a British team, I have to be happy with 2 British GP's this season, at each end of the calendar. They will most likely both be at Silverstone, which I don't mind. I'm pretty impartial to the rest of the calender, but I'm a bit annoyed with no Australian GP. Any track I'm given I'll race happily.
Lloyd
