STAGE 3
Our goal for this stage was to keep both the point and the GC jersey, so we have the best possible conditions before the Time Trial. With 3 races in our backpack, we can already now say that A. Dowsett's chances of winning is higher than anticipated and he is our main rider for the GC. However this was a perfect stage for us with no hills in the end and a mass sprint was highly likely to come true.
The race started with several riders trying to break away and we wanted to participate in that aswell. E. Viennet had told us he was ready to try. The breakaway succeeded in the first try and this meant that the breakaway consisted of A. Kolobnev , M. Mohoric , D. Milán and E. Viennet.
The KOM sprints were all won by M. Mohoric and he would be the 3rd rider to bear it in this race overall. The breakaway was ended with 15 km to go and the teams started their leadout trains. Winner of the positioning game was in favor of us.
We didn't split up the sprinters as we did on stage 1 , so the mass sprint would be won by the rider with the best legs, and not who won the positioning game. the other teams began their sprinting with 2 km to go and T. Hushovd was at the wheel of Ben. With our front position we waited till 1,5 km before the finishing line and Ben sat perfectly behind K. De Kort, but the next 600 metres we were overrun by our competitors...
But in the very last second our two sprinters accelerated like no one has done before and caught the others by surprise and our second 1-2 victory was set

Yes ofc . I just know that playing with just 1 team will be the quickest way to get bored , and I write fan fiction with a friend , but he will take a break , so I need 1 more project to keep my writing up and now I will have a story that focuses on the stages and one that focuses on the personal side and the more in-depth

Race Report(s) from Etoile De Bessegés
STAGE 4
As the 5th stage only is 72 km , I will post both stages here. Before these stages I customized the hard setting to be a little more challenging and this is what happens
The stage was the final chance for the riders to gain points in the KOM classification. And the teams intentions were clear from head start and the breakaway was formed with the participation of J. Pineau , A. Madrazo , S. Klimov and F. Guillou.
1 km before the first KOM checkpoint A. Madrazo attacked with all his prowess , but J. Pineau picked him up like a fallen plate and took the points from it.
The pattern copied itself to the next sprint...
However A. Madrazo won the KOM jersey with dominance in his back from earlier stages . The breakaway was reached with 20 km to go and the leadout trains were getting deployed, and Quickstep was looking strong with their focus on G. Meersman, which hadn't looked good the other days.
De Kort gave Ben the best conditions, but he did accelerate too early today and had to be glad to finish on the podium where the others looked strongest.

STAGE 5 :
Todays race could be considered a ½ stage with its tiny 72 km's. Our goal was as always victory. The breakaway was however formed with 7 participants
The breakaway was in a tight line and only had a 1 : 30 gap, which meant that with 20 km to go they were finished and Movistar had controlled the pace perfectly. The leadout trains are formed...
Then with 10 km to Dowsett hits the accelerator and pushes the train in the lead.
But the pace wasn't great so the others could easily sit on the wheel of us. Once again we started sprinting to early and Ben didn't look good so he was made leadout for De Kort. De Kort almost passes G. Bagdonas but its too late.
The conclusion is that neither of our jerseys are safe, since T. Gallopin is such a great TT rider. Our best bet to win the GC are A. Dowsett and the British ITT champion are looking like a man in control, but he is 30 seconds behind Gallopin so its gonna be a close call.

STAGE 6 :
Today is the last stage of Etoile De Bességes and it has been a successful race so far, but the danger of losing our jerseys was possible, but not likely to happen. Because of technical issues no pictures were made of the Time Trial, but here is the ending result:
As you can see we were very close on getting a victory on the stage, but it came down to the very last second on who won the stage. Note that Ben Swift raced his best time trial he'd ever done and he defended his jersey with a comfortable margin in our eyes. Today's disappointment was the young I. Slik that with his great shape should have ended in top 20. We did a great job and we can be proud of this , but the highlight of this race was definitely K. De Jonghe's performance and he suprised everyone with his placement.
Final Classifications :
See ya all in Qatar !
