Perfect lead out by Greipel there for Pelucchi in the end. Still unbelievable the way Pelucchi came off the wheel of the Gorilla and just powered on by to win by a fair ol' distance. Either Greipel didn't have enough left in the tank in the end or Pelucchi executed that sprint to perfection.

(2.WT) Tirreno Adriatico: Stage 2 - San Vincenzo to Cascina (166KM)
Omega Pharma - Quick-Step and Mark Cavendish nowhere to be found within the Top 10 for the stage. Depending on what happened, they might be in for a bit of the "hairdryer treatment" tonight if they do not improve severely in the other sprint stages.

Great win for Pelucchi, but shame we didn't get to see a Cav, Greipal and Kittel battle. |

Forget the last km the Kittel bike throw was the highlight

Kittel was mad! It looked like he would go full Ivan Drago there.

A crash earlier on had Van den Broeck involved. He has to abandon due to the consequences of it.

Can't catch a break, that guy
He does so much for the job, more than anyone else even. Hope he stays upright in the Tour. |

I thought I'd won with the other rider bet then realised whoever set the bet up had the presence of mind to include him - whoever that is deserves to win all the money in the pot |

These early sprint stages of Tirreno are always like this. Very chaotic and as a result who ends up winning is very random.
We've had winners like Hagen and Haedo as a result in previous years
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

Not only the bike throw. He was grabbing his arm as he laid down after the throw.
