Just to be absolutely sure. The overall difficulty of the goals we choose for 2014 has no bearing on the size of the budget, right?

It has an effect, based on a sum for minimum and then scaled up towqrds maximum. If it didnt have any effect we would all go for minimum goals

And still fail miserably. I have had Milano-San Remo as a win goal twice where I got 3rd and 2nd. The year I chose something else I got 1-2 with Ulissi and Pozzato - So I'm just no good at picking goals, so I just picked them fast this time.

That was some hard thinking, but in the end i went with medium risk. Win goal was clear.
Now that even harder part. Start of the planning, without knowing half of your potential leading riders.
Great job with race profiles!

Can someone confirm that PCT teams race days are split 80HC/70C1+2 please?
(as in 80 HC races in 4 Bands, then we get 70 free choice from C1 and C2 races to total up to 150 race days for the season)

It is 175 for PCT (at least it was in 2013). So 80+95...

when knowing that all PCT teams will have 95 race days remaining with the majority going in to C1. But the restructure also forces teams to make a tactical decision, since it is unlikely the many teams can point to 4 band and expect to do really well in all races within.
That's after the 80 HC race days 80+95= 175 |

@Manx: Yeah, too many race days to choose only "favourable races".

What i completely forgot is if we make our C1 (C2) race selections before transfers or after? I cant be really much sure about my leaders, so if it is the second case, i will guess majority of the calendar blindly.

Please Note: The C2 goals were slightly out before. A new goals table is in the first post.
This is below.
The C2HC points scales were out.

I know there's an effect, maybe I didn't explain myself properly. I was just wondering about the effect on the initial budget. If choosing harder goals now will have an influence on the budget we recieve now. Not talking about the effect it has on achieving/not achieving the goals.

Yeah, my understanding is that your budget is based bth on the difficulty of the goals you chose this year, as well as the success you had with your goals last year.
So harder goals = more money for transfers

No Eire Tour.
Anyway, is it okay if i send in goals next Saturday/Sunday? I don't have much internet acces here, and i can't have a good look at the 2014 DB either, so i'd like to wait till then if possible. Or would that be too late?
