Vuelta a Mallorca: Stage 2
Swift tops of a perfect day for Sky.
The breakaway began with 4 including Ian Boswell who won 11 king of the mountains points and 4 Intermediate points. The breakaway were brung in with 15km to go so Sky started out there train, with Kiryienka and Wiggins leading out Swift. The rest of the team were resting on Swift's wheel. At the 5km mark Sky were firmly leading the pack with Sir Bradley Wiggins at the front. At 1km Henrich Hausseler had launched an early sprint and was just ahead of Wiggo and Swift. Vuelta ciclista a Mallorca: Stage 3
Good day for Wiggo.
The first and only mountain stage began today with a giant category 1 climb towards the end. At the beginning of the stage Peter Kennaugh was at the front, But put such a high pace that he broke away from the peloton, by accident and formed a 6 man breakaway group but didn't manage to get far with Team Sky at the front with Ben Swift doing a lot of work. Throughout the race Sky kept on breaking the pack especially on the cat 2 before the big climb were sky had 5 riders in a 7 man breakaway, breaking Quintana. Rodriguez, Scarponi and many more. They got back onto the group just at the beginning of the big climb. Half way up the climb and there had only been 1 attack from Luis Leon Sanchez, But that was down to the high pace set by Sky and with 5km to the end of the climb Kanstantin Siutsou and Bradley Wiggins broke away from the peloton. Just before the end 5 men joined the 2 (M.Scarponi, R.Gesink, P.Rolland, A.Talansky and N.Quintana) The men gained over 1 minute against the chasing group, which now contained Siutsou after he dropped out from the main group. With 2km to go the 6 man group had gaine over 2 minutes on the peloton, and Michele Scarponi was the first to launch the sprint and at 1km had gained a few bike lengths over the group. Scarponi took it on the line ahead of Nairo Quintana and Pierre Rolland. The group all got the same time and Bradley Wiggins came 5th.

Game Plan:
Our Game Plan is simple. Richie Porte to win the General Classification. There is a lot of riders that have great fitness and Richie is one, He is probably our strongest rider on the Hills and Time trials so he will lead. Hopefully Richie can start this season on a positive by beating his rivals. We will look for Nathan Earle to be his main helper on the Hills as Mikel Nieve isn't the fittest at the moment. |

Tour Mediterraneen: Stage 1
Podium for Porte.
Today stage saw no breakaway because of Sky's high pace. But unlike Mallorca they didn't break up the pack. Richie Porte managed to gain 4 seconds on time bonuses. Mikel Nieve hit the bottom of the last climb breaking almost half of the field. Towards the end Nieve was tiring the rest of the field so Porte attacked with Voeckler and Riblon both followed leaving the field behind. Porte set such a high tempo that He and Voeckler dropped Riblon, They had a gap of 30 seconds with 5km left. At the 2km mark Voeckler lead Porte towards the line but at the 1km mark they were caught by an early sprint from Barguil. Porte managed to get onto his wheel, but couldn't stop the flying Frenchman. Porte came second with Nicki Sorenson.
