Rojas just 1 spot from his favourite 4th place. |

Rojas 5th, not 4th? This is odd |

I open up the stream and the first thing I see is Kittel celebrating.
What a sprint! It looked like Roelandts led Greipel out perfectly, but Kittel managed to overtake him in the last few meters.
BTW, what happened to Henderson?

What a sneak bastard Ewan was there, great way to get the best wheel. Faster than everyone but the Germans is really good.
Rojas comes short of his designated position by 1
Alaphillipe with a great ride in 6th, I wasn't fancying him in a crit-style sprint at all, rather the punchy sprinter.

Way to labour a point made after 4 hours of sleep without ANY earlier comparison and just to get a reply done quickly

@Count
Form. Should be the most important race for Ewan(or one of the most important races), while for Viviani, it's just a race.
Or let me put it differently.
Viviani is on 78 SP in the Daily DB.
Would you put Ewan on 79?

Next year. This year he'll only race Beijing for Orica, and that's a heck of a long season to perform great there.
Though he could challenge for podiums there if he still has the form.

I was joking I still think Ewan is better all up but I have nothing to base that on. This is the only head-to-head in the PCS database so there is no real way of comparing.

Not but I don't know if I'd put him much lower than 77. Plus as we saw today (unless of course it was just a fluke... which I doubt) he can really find his way through a bunch sprint without team help, so regardless that would be simplifying it too much.

Of course, noone sees this guy until he's in front of you
He doesn't need Sieberg in front to get a perfect slipstream.

I must say I only saw the last 4 seconds though, since the race ended when I was ready to watch the stream
But okay. And Viviani is actually even on 78 SP, so Ewan should be 79 then
@Count Well, yeah, posting the picture would have been a better idea indeed.

Great performance by Caleb Ewan there. It will be interesting to see how he and UniSA scales that up to the longer length of the Tour Down Under stages.
Finished updating the Sprinter's Preview now as well after witnessing a darn fine game between Mayer and Ferrrer. Looks like Kittel could be pretty dominant in the sprints. Something to be said about the level of competitiveness being a whole level higher in the TdU however, with far more on the line (especially if WT Points become vital for staying in the World Tour).

Crash..ambulance on the road
Yeah, it stopped on the circuit... Just got clear. If only I cleaned the camera on my phone so everything wasn't so damn blurry... Looks like the French aren't having a good TDU, ag2r rider to hospital by the looks of things. Nothing seen in local media here though (surprise surprise though).
And on Ewan, for such a small bloke he takes up a hell of a lot of road. You can fit 3 guys in the space that he fills. Half the time he looks like he's trying to fly... Good work pushing out Kittel a couple to go, then better with what was left of Sky...
When you can't decide between two options, flip a coin. Not because the result of the coin will choose for you, but because, in that split second before the coin lands, you'll know what side you want it to fall on.
