Fantastic ride Jerome, a medal is well deserved. The only question, was he really second or third, Count? In report, you are writing he beated Cancellara, but in results he is behind him.
Great report Count anyway.
And Uran could ride better really.

No glory for the Aussies, but not much more can be expected from Rogers given his season

Yeah I tried to fix it before anyone noticed. I see that I failed. The problem was that in the game it said his time was second but in the official results he was third. I was working completely off my race notes rather than the official list and didn't check. My mistake.

Great ITT races,thanks for reports.
U23: 11th for our young gem Zmorka. Shame it was not top10, but hey, he had same time as 10th boy,so only fraction of second outside of top10. Next year he will return much improved and i hope for top5 attack at least. Congrats to Kami, what a surprise winner. Aussies are probably cursed this year.
Elite: Popovych finishing 21st is decent, of course he will never get better in the future,it is all about decline now. So nice for him, that he was the best Ukrainian at Worlds TT, for the last time...
Phinney is a beast and Spartakus is also going down now. Congrats to Wikipedia.

I don't really have anyone for these TT's, so I'm looking forward to the RR, to see if we can have some luck there.

It's just not Roger' season... Maybe he will win the Japan Cup with a little help from some special meat

Very exciting TT. Too bad Gesink couldn't land a medal, surely one of his best chances on this hilly ride. But Phinney is a deserved winner I guess, quite the season he's having.

Gesink was third two years ago. Also, on a hilly route.
So close to get another medal though He was actually closer to the first place now than in 2011

Didn't know that. But was referring to the first time check indeed, just 8 seconds behind Phinney. Too bad.

Phinney winning is no surprise, but really close for the podium there.

As I said Cancellara vs Coppel is proving quite a close run thing. I assume the duo will both finish off their rivalry in Tasmania with possibly riders like Gesink (in the TT, I mean).
Delighted to get a medal, our first (and probably our last in a little while).
U23 RR to follow, hopefully this evening by the way.

Solid rides by both Brits, and a very good 9th there for Kittel despite the obvious course disadvantage. No surprise about the winner.

Indeed that would be awesome. Eventhough I don't have anyone worth following.

Superb performance from Phinney. It has just been an amazing season for him, and who knows, maybe he'll sprint to victory in the road race to prove there's no doubt he has been the best rider in the world this season?
Thanks for the report, CountArach, quality as always. Certainly looking forward to the road races now, they're both wide open. |

Great report as always. Slightly disappointed by Rolland as the only rider to wear a Puma jersey in the race, but there was obviously not much to gain anyway.
Now the most important race of the week for us, but I recently learned the hard way that having expectations for a good result is not the way to go if I don't want to ram my head against a wall...

What is Rolland doing in your jersey? - I'm fairly certain he wants to stay at us
