Will you also post the RES for custom riders here? Otherwise we'll have to search through 85 pages of race reports and stuff. |

Spoiler Progress
This is both for managers and custom riders, it works the same.
For the first progress round, I’m going to keep it simple. To raise a stat by 1, you need to spend the number of points of the stat you’re going to end up with. So to get a stat from 72 to 73, you will need to spend 73 points.
There is one additional rule though. To prevent any more unbalanced riders from appearing, you can’t go over 77 for this round. 76 to 77 is ok, but no higher.
Furthermore, age comes into play. The older your rider is, the less valuable your points will become, according to the following table:
18=100%
19=90%
20=82%
21=75%
22=70%
23=68%
24-30=65%
30-35=50%
No progress possible over 35
To simplify things, age is calculated on 01/01/2013 (all riders born the same year have the same age).
Standard math rules apply when calculating (74,499=74 and 74,500=75).
Please use the following example to progress riders:
Team Name: Lierse - Pizza Ullo
Rider Name: Lucas Gonzalez
Points spend: 200 x 70% (22)= 140 points
Stats upgraded:
Flat 75=>76
Spr 63=>64
(So now I have spent 200 points to make 2 stats go up by 1)
You can use your points on multiple riders if you’re a manager. All points not spent will be lost. Now I have the long job to look over all the HQ’s again to grade managers and riders.
And oh yes, since I’m totally evil and like giving punishments, any mistake will result in a (small) punishment! So ask questions until everything is perfectly clear
Just quoted it so it would be on this page
I'm hoping it will become clearer soon but this just will not go into my head and come out the other side making sense
So, firstly, I get a number of points based on my HQ? I can then use these points to improve any of BMC's riders except Lewis (custom rider) and Pinotti (too old)?
Secondly, the age thing could cause a lot of confusion. Evans, for example, was 35 on 1/1/2013 but is already 36 so could I improve him or not (I'm not going to btw, he's past it. Just sure it will come up somewhere else)?
Finally, that point limit. Is that just for custom riders? I don't see why you can't improve real riders beyond 77, like Gilbert or Phinney, who are already way beyond 77.

Equally how does this apply to custom riders with stats over 77? Limiting those riders would lead to more of an overall rider than being allowed to grow those specialized stats.
Like Hinault currently can only climb and nothing else, hence why he won Crit Int by such a margin. With the limit i can massively boost TT, FL and other support stats very quickly, leading to a solid GC rider in a relatively short time. Without the limit he can keep growing as a climber but still suck at anything else

Another good point there Manx. Though looking at some of the custom riders at the moment, most people don't care for realism anyway. For certain people, a stat limit is a good thing and for others it's not fair.
An example would be Lewis, who has 77MO but appalling secondary stats and I had hoped that maxime was going to improve STA and REC anyway, even before I knew about this limit.

The 77 is for this advancement round only, in fact a lot of stuff can change for the next one. It was done to prevent more 1 stat builds a few people have done.
Evans, and all other riders born in 1977, are considered to be 35

But it doesn´t apply for real riders, does it?
Since I'd love to give Gaudin a PRL boost, honestly

Hmm, I don't want to see any 85 riders appearing yet though.. I'll think about it.

What I'd say is making upgrading 70+ stats a bit more expensive, 75+ stats a lot more expensive and 80+ stats being extremely expensive.
A bit like you've done with the custom rider stats as well. That'd prevent everyone upgrading their leader in their best stats, since then, you'd lose a lot of points

I didn't want to make it too complicated for the first round. The age thingy might confuse people enough already. It's something I'll likely introduce later on though.

Yeah but what about existing riders, many of whom are specialized. Take most sprinters for example (or the entire Euskaletel team ) very specialized with only a few key stats but each of them is going to be high. With a 77 limit many second tier riders will be stuck as second tier riders, but now with more competition at that level.
Just increasing the limit for real riders to 80 would make a lot of that difference. Or relate it to age, so only those under 25 were limited.

Ummh, just wondering: How long will it actually be until the champs from here on? Meaning, will they be first thing in the break or rather late in the break? Or in other words: Should i do the regular Tracker or the Continental Championships Special first?

Where do the points come from? The rankings? In this case does that mean that every team's ranking points will go back down to 0?

No no, the progress points have nothing to do with the ranking points
No one has received their points yet
And somewhere near the bottom it's says all points not used will be lost
