At least something good came out of this race.
It looks like Posthuma lost a top 5 due to that crash

Posthuma indeed probably lost his podium here. So it`s good to see that Trentin delivered a bit in reward.
The hills and cobbles in especially though couldn`t bring too much gaps unfortunately. So it was a duel between the strongest time trialists, who then were able to hang on in the hills. |

Well, that was anticlimactic!
I'm getting more and more convinced that narrow roads are a necessity in order to have selective races in PCM12. A real shame.
Terrific reporting at least!

Sometimes this is correct. But still the positioning isn`t programmed to use the narrow roads then.
It would be more selective then. But in this example Schumacher, Gilbert, Van Garderen would be in the first group then while Ballan, Steurs, Franzoi etc. as better cobblers were always further behind and would have missed the split even though they should have been stronger then.
Luckily the season is almost over and we can try with the next game. |

Eeeerm, Stake Laengen advancing from 19th to 17th in the general classification on a cobbled stage
I'll certainly take it, though, I must admit I hoped for more aggressive racing from the favourites' teams.
Well done by Rojas to fight on in the breakaway against stronger cobblers, 8th is great
Thanks for the report, roturn. I think you made the most out of a disappointing stage by AI, and you definitely did it well |

Well I'm glad that wasn't decisive at all!

The cobbles were always more decisive than the hills in ToNE, but this year's stage was really poor.
Great reports though!

Agreed that it was anti-climactic, but for now i'll take Van Garderen staying 5th, just hoping everyone stays upright in the finale. Can't wait to see how standings look after this.

Now I´m curious how much selective will be cobble stage. I believe Spartacus has clean path to overall win, but who will be the next? Boonen? Bewley? Gilbert? Pozzato? Or will we see some big surprise?
Aaaaand winneeeeer iiissss: f*cking r*tarded AI. Congratulations!
Thank you roturn for being able to make excellent report from this s*it. It had to be very tough job.

Inspiring riding from Kruijswijk... BIG effort!
Also pretty cool with Vandborg in a ProTour Top 15

Shitty race with this AI.
Oh well. Mollema might get a top 30 which is above expectations. Definately should have brought Ulissi here though.

Congrat's to Roman, he should be happy with Coppel, but he probably ain't happy with his salary for 2014. |

Well, I should be very happy with final results...2 stage wins, point jersey, 3 places in TOP10, another 3 between 17-21st place...it means my team grabbed many points from this race.
But I can´t help myself I still feel very disappointed because of penultimate stage.
Anyway, great job, roturn, thanks for reporting. Congrats to Milka & Swedbank, feel sorry for unlucky Van Garderen & Monfort.

JvH being blocked out adds to the tinge of disappointment in this race. That said 2nd for Fab and a wonderful 19th from long time Red Bull rider Jelloul is really nice.
It may well be a close fight for being in the top 10 of the final teams standings - that is pretty much it for me bar the TT at the Tour of Tasmania. Fab has of course chances there and who knows with the crappy hilly AI what he can achieve in that race.
Elsewhere the TvG crash increases the Koeniggsegg/Wiki battle I think. B and O did okay there on GC - Puma certainly didn't pick up the points with Benny you may have thought so has the relegation battle opened up? Don't think so but perhaps it is not quite yet a closed book.

Hmm I do get a little bit of points for this one, hopefully I'm not completely buried yet. Great reporting and some nice performances from Kruijswijk, Vandborg and partially Guldhammer.
