Kung jumped into the top 20, doubt he'll stay there though, and ahead of his team leader in the process but hopefully the team will still ride for Shikai who has a much better chance of placing high in the overall.

Wooohooo
This feels like a GT win + leader's jersey right now
Thanks for the kind words
Amazing ride by Vogt on stage 2, I really hoped for such a scenario where he attacks early and Kelderman uses the tactical advantage to win, but he was strong enough to finish it himself.
That teams classification looks amazing so far as well, though we'll obviously drop.
Great rides by Bongiorno as well so far, deleting all the puncheurs from the GC puts him somewhere in 5th place with a decent gap to similar riders.
I just fear he won't be looked after tomorrow and might be on the wrong side of a split.
That 55 seconds to the next guy should be enough to keep the jersey tomorrow as well, and a stage win plus three days in yellow definitely make this a successful race already.
Let's see if we can add another podium spot on stage 4 before starting to become more anonymous when we hit the mountains.
Sad to see Demare losing the fight for the best wheel today, I assume he would have been in the mix.

Aargh, close close close! Matthews got Zabel'd - well, not Zabel'd like we use to use Zabel'd, but you know what i mean
Good news to see Bennett finishing in the first group. This stage could have been worse and it was quite cool to see an Oz-train

Hey Heine, how about a stage winner trade?
You know I want Zabel, I know you want Vogt.

Yeah, I sometimes scroll through the DB and think 'I want that guy' 'and that one as well' 'he would be a nice addition too'...
That is until I realize half of them are already in my team!

Just to make sure: what is your state of mind when you do that? |

Don't you ever minimize all columns bar the stats, potential and experience and pretend not to be in the ManGame yet?

When both of us joined, Cio. You somehow managed to get all these elite talents and still promoted thanks to Bennati.
What have I done wrong there?
Koep, Krieger, Ariesen, Schachmann are all below your talent level and Vantomme was below Bennati level. In especially last season.
This season I at least did something right in getting Olivier as future great. But then again I missed on all other talents. (Grand, Edmondson, Villella, Sbaragli are nice but not elite)

Well, don't argue that way. There is every chance in the world we relegate and you promote, which puts you in the better position of us two next season.
(I'd rather have you joining us in PT though )

One cannot deny Vantomme was a mistake. Everyone does make mistakes in the first season. Some only cost you an xp level (Sütterlin), some 700k...
Bennati was a steal. How he could still be around and so cheap that late in transfer season still boggles my mind.
And don't talk about the 2012 season, I fear it all was just a dream
I quickly checked who went after which talents and tried to make deals with most of them to ensure getting at least a few.
I intentionally missed out on guys like Zabel to get guys like Vogt, to name the most prominent case now.
The rest of my 2012 talents are rather mediocre. I only realized Bar having the chance to develop into a great leadout after I already signed him, for example.
My 2013 talents are a result of a suicidal mission to not trying to stay up at all. The current rankings are down to a lot of luck with VDB (so far, knock on wood...).

Yep, Olivier will be of good use. And I'd really like to see Sbaragli in Puma colors, he'll be the great leadout every team with a sprinter needs at least one.
Still, there is no need to focus or even care about talents, and thus no need to mourn about not having them.
Most they do is to add a bit of PCM career feeling with the stat increases and a few points for U25 classifications.
I bet you can get similar, older riders giving you a comparable combined points haul over 4-5 seasons quite a bit cheaper in 90% of the cases.

Where would be the fun then?
I need that feeling.
It`s 1000x better to see Olivier top10 in the Tour in a few seasons being supported by Koep than to make it with some veterans.

Don't ask me, everyone knows I'm a sucker for that strategy
Put me and Alakagom together in one room and all we'd talk about is
"you have that Morton guy, he was so expensive"
"oh that Daniel guy is so versatile"
"Goos won't stand a chance if Bongiorno is in the race"
"you took Demare from me you idiot!"
"Vanbilsen for Kelderman?"
"are you gonna make van der Lijke a puncheur or sprinter?"
"depends on what you do with Felline"

The best with Olivier is, that he is born late in November and just 21.
So iirc he will be able to ride Avenir also in the next 2 seasons, when he is 3.x and 4.x. I know some others will be able to do so as well, but once fighting for the win in Avenir would be great. |

Well, lucky you, most of my guys can't.
Sütterlin has two years left, Vogt one, and that's basically it. Both are 4.x then.
I think if Bongiorno was one day older, he wouldn't be eligible this season
