sutty68 - Then all hell will break loose
5hadows - Nice to see you commenting and it's great to hear you followed Willy and Stijn's story. The comic book pics are not something I will change quickly because I think it's nice to have something different for a change. Maybe you just need to get used to it, I hope so. About the words and the clouds, I know, it's on my list of things to work on, but thanks for the criticism, always welcome I hope you'll still enjoy the story!
The Hobbit - It's been a while since I had a cobbled sprinter, actually since Stijn Van Gent. Did a long career with a climber/puncher. But yes, now I'm back with a cobbled sprinter
Jesleyh - Indeed, thanks |

tpinot - I'm very glad you like the style, since opinions seem to be scattered the bad guy in the story? Hmm, Borgen is a sprinter with a talent for cobbles and in lesser extent hills... So I guess Sagan will be the bad guy
Well I never expected what follows next. Maybe I should consider switching to Extreme. However, it was a unique situation with the breakaway, you'll see |

I do wonder why someone so strong was in the break, but nice tactics, taking advantage of his newbie status and winning against the big guns, bring on the Ronde I guess. |

Why don't you place 50% transparent boxes behind the text? Makes it easier to read and looks nice (if you do it right )

Happy to see good reactions to this I was even hesitating about using a weekly save to go back before E3. Never expected him to do that, I was very surprised they let him ride in the breakaway and get 9 minutes with only 70 km left to go
The Hobbit - I got lucky he wasn't in the category "don't underestimate" so I guess that's why he had a chance to go. Suits me fine
Jesleyh - Thanks!
sutty68 - Hope so, too! Though now that they know his name, it'll be harder to take a win!
welker3257 - Thanks for the bananas
fcancellara - Thanks for the hint, I'm still experimenting with this kind of reporting, I'll definitely try it. Though I've already the next reports ready |

I would say that this story is running into danger of becoming a bit boring as he's so strong so young, but since it's you we're talking about, I guess the next plot twist is right around the corner

cunego59 - Now you're putting pressure on me First I'll let him develop and I'll bring on the plot twists when he gets overpowered but he's certainly not the strongest yet. There are at least 15 better sprinters and 20 better cobblers. His E3 victory was more a matter of luck
Abelbaba - Thanks! |

Nice win on E3 , but as cunego59 said , i think it's early for that and he is too strong (imo). But , it's Ian guys , we can expect everything!

Lars literally just finished school is out there winning races like he's Cancellara but with a lot more sprinting abilities.
The day when bike gears turn automatic. = Why not now? They did it with cars.

admirschleck - Yeah but the E3 win was a 1/100 shot. but he is strong, fact. However, I don't worry about it becoming a boring story. I refer to the story about Mark Cavendish. World's best sprinter and it was an amazing story.
5hadows - He is, but he still needs to develop a lot more to confirm that
Cycleman123 - Thanks |

Just caught up having not read since my first comment. Having issues reading some of the texts... Some screens it's really clear, which is great. Some it's a bit small, and then some it's just lost on the screenshot background clutter unless you enlarge the image (and even then it takes a moment to clear it up).
Perhaps adding a background box of some variety (as fcancellara suggested) could aid this. It would bring the text to the front making it clearer.
Also think about your text color. White works well on most backgrounds, but excess background clutter and the edges blur making it tough to read. Dark/black text does not work on dark/neutral areas, failing to stand out and lacking the quick fire impact they are clearly being used for. (this is where adding the box will help). Try using a few more colors to try and get around these issues. It's a tough one, but something to try and work on.
You do a really good job of making the text fit in naturally, using existing spaces in the image. If you do this, make sure the text only fits in these gaps, and doesn't stray over the edges. It makes it look untidy and causes the words to break up and become hard to read.
Also (like admir said) the images overall are just dark/dull/neutral. Without the red of the BMC jersey they are uninteresting (the Plussbank ones were really bad in this way). The style is nice, but only the really bright reds and yellows stand out and it's not that pretty.
(wow that got a bit long...)
And stats! At least he's not 85's
I get that you don't like having to wait years before a rider is competitive and hence the higher stats. But if you're going to do that, just make the rider older but 3 years. A 21 year old with those stats, rare. A 24 year old, not normal but not odd. A 26 year old, pretty normal.
As yet the results are fine. Not dominating but always in the action which is cool. E3 was clearly a bit lucky. You referenced the_hoyles story with Cav's. Difference being that Cav's is expected to win everything, and doesn't wear diapers
Also i'd recommend Extreme as this version of PCM seems easier than in the past... at least for me. Plus it will slow the results a bit.
Anyway this is getting long. Nice read, few areas work on. 85's...

TheManxMissile - Thanks for your comment! Especially since it's constructive criticism I'm constantly working on the texts, so I'm aware of the problem I'm also working on the darkness, you'll find that the next 2 updates will have brighter pictures, I hope those are all right. However, my experiment with the background box really failed.
Maybe another color could work, yeah. Though with the new, brighter, screens, both black and white seem to work better. (It also depends on weather and the sky.)
I try not to stray over the edges, sometimes it barely works, but this is also a work in progress and experience will make it better
Stats, I know. They're a bit too much for a 21 year old. Though I always refer to Peter Sagan. But I just thought: a sprinter is always stronger at a younger ago since it's about explosion and speed. So he's already a good sprinter. Cobbles come with experience, so he has his natural talent, but experience will make him better (but training on sprinting now so come along slowly) He's mainly a sprinter, but in March he's also a cobbler.
Thank you for getting that E3 was lucky Just because he did that, doesn't mean he can win the Ronde this year, not even next year. And, well, he's the next diapered Cavendish, so in 2 seasons, people will expect him to win most sprinters I just like that it only takes 2 seasons instead of 6
EDIT: I actually wanted to have a rider who can score immediately, but still I wanted to have a fiction rider, I should've made him older indeed However, there will always be Lukaku's!
krisa - And it tastes sweet
