Yes, that may give an idea about how a deal this is in Denmark. It's probably the 2nd largest archievement right after the European Championship in football in 1992.
2.5 million Danes saw the match yesterday on television - out of a population of 6 million. When the team returned, they were escorted by two F16 planes. 5000 people showed up in the airport to celebrate. 25.000 showed up on RĂ„dhuspladsen (the town hall square of Copenhagen). |
