Every time I bet on an overwhelming favourite it seems to fail. 
I had an accumulator on today and it would have won if Maccabi Haifa won.
(Maccabi Haifa were at short odds of 1.20/1 before kick-off and despite leading 2-0 with 75 minutes to go still managed to screw up). Looks like I will be avoiding Israeli football for a long time.  Going to stick with the goals market for a while. |

Port Vale were up 3-0 against some 8th league side (FA Cup) in the 92nd minute.
I take a chance and put a bet on Port Vale to win by atleast 4 goals. Rightly so, in the 93rd minute they scored  The odds was at 6, so I'm quite pleased with myself.

Thank the heavens, the international break is over! One more day and I would have ended up in the news as the main segment in a story which would end with the phrase "... and he then turned the gun on himself."
Are there any decent tips for tomorrow and wednesday? Since a few favourites are allredy in the clear, there might be money to made in playing an underdog or two.

Ouch!
I had a £5 free bet with sky and if AC Milan - Inter Milan would have ended 5 minutes earlier and ended in a draw I would have won £450.... Ouch

Disagree, there's cases when you shouldn't bet on them, but there are plenty of matches with value in the price.
Of course if you are betting on favoruites all the time like 1.3/1.4 priced, then yes, Italy is not the place. But you shouldn't so yea.

Okay, let's revive this thread a bit. I am planning to start betting soon (thanks Alak ) after big pause, so I thought about posting/asking for some kind of tips here. What do you guys think about games tomorrow?
These are my guesses:

Europeans  Always using weird letters, while instead you could just use the +/- notation so it is easier to understand, or over under.

Americans Everything that is normal for us and the rest of World is weird for them & they're trying to make some new words/phrases for it and mess it up regulary.
Anyways, here are the meanings of these bets above:
GG; 1 - Goal Goal One - Each team scores goal, but first one wins.
1-1 - One to One - First team leads on half and wins at the end
tm1 2+ - TeamOne TwoPlus - Team one scores two or more goals

Not sure today games offer any value. Low odds for too much risk, could be a easy surprise there. Algeria are decent, and Mexico can easily do a surprise.
On paper the bets look good though of course.
