Last kom sprint of the race,  L. Romero manages to earn 2pts, not enought for kom jersey but will finish as 2nd best climber..
With the kom sprint one breakaway group is formed,  C. Miller is there to help Romero..
C. Miller is working very hard in the break to maintain their gap to the pack..3´48" with 70kms..
With Miller droped and the sunday pace from breakaway riders, L. Romero decides to attack... but he will get caught again..
10kms to go, Romero gets droped from the break.. peloton rides not far but the strong wind is making their life hard to bring the break back..
The break reaches final km still in front..  N. Sijmens(COF) leads the sprint..
It´s going to be a close one..
 W. Marentes is the rider which can challenge Sijmens.
.. but the belgian holds on and wins last stage..  J.J. Haedo finishes 15th and overall he´s our best rider.. 55th +13´27".

Guys, it's Aleman 
Haedo not in shape yet, kinda wasted race for Jamis  but some nice screens and a several lantern rouge finishes, so not a total failure. Better luck next time, though!

*Selwink - Mate, how can be Romero when he has the kom jersey and this last rider don´t?  .. i´ll forgive you this time as you already helped 1 JAMIS rider to gain some points..
*sutty68 - yeaah mate... .. but you have to distribute the points.. 
*tsmoha - ... no, no, no,.. it´s C. Miller.. you need to be carefull when read the report.. Miller did all the work in the break while Aleman was in peloton.. .. Haedo is getting better now and he´s back to USA for Valley of the Sun race.. .. glad you like the screns..
I had hoped for a better result but like you say, maybe next time.
*kadtagenero - it´s only the first season race.. .. Acevedo will skip Valley of the Sun ( doesn´t fit him) but we will see our time trial machine in action..
Note: this kind of mini-game was intencionally for this first race, but we might apply it for other races when any Jamis rider comes as last one.. i´m NOT making on purpose for this happen,..

I like the points system Baia. But, as you say, I don't think rewarding riders for finishing last place it the way forward. |

Can you please change name of this thread to Jamis Hagens Berman , since whenever i see this on home page, i think it's another story , and i never check this. And i think it's looking better , but it's on you.

On the name, the abbreviation used in game for Jamis is JSH not JHB, which certainly caused me confusion for a bit.
Anyway, decent San Luis. Hoping for some good stuff in Pheonix, AZ!!

J. McCartney(BPC) comes as the first favourite.. NBT in 31´29"
Right after, comes our TT specialist B.J. Maynes.. he´s still looking for his best form, +17"
Then came this guy.. J. Stemper(5HR), 69tt.. he must be in top form as he beats McCartney´s time by 2".. 31´27"
 I. Bibby(MGT) rides with +7"..
N. Brown(BLS) sets the new best time at 31´10"
Brown´s best time was quickly beaten by a fast A. Tennant(MGT), 30´55", great ride..
.. but the biggest disapointment today came from the sides of E. Clancy(RCJ).. he finishes with +26"
The last rider to set off was J.J. Haedo.. 1´56" at the finish..

4 riders went off at 1st kom sprint.. at the descent, G. Varela attacks from the pack and will try to catch up with them.. 1´30"gap.
5kms to 2nd kom sprint, Varela joins the break.. 4´05"gap to peloton..
.. but this wasn´t more then a little adventure for Varela as he gets droped from the break and is caught by peloton.. 44kms to go.. Rapha Condor leads the pack.. 2´05"gap..
10kms to go and with the break caught, B.J. Maynes attacks..
.. but Maynes can´t get too far.. it comes all for mass sprint finish.. Maynes attack brought him in good position to launch our main speed man, J.J. Haedo..
 A. Manan comes very fast.. Haedo changes from  E. Zabel´s wheel to Manan´s..
A. Manan goes fast..
.. and wins 2nd stage.. J.J. Haedo achieves our best result bis datum, 4th.. Maynes did great too with his 12th place..

Short and fast stage, we had D. Aleman in the break and he managed to win an Int. sprint.. well done. At the end, it all came to a mass sprint finish with E. Clancy on the lead..
For a moment it looked that A. Candelario could challenge Clancy but..
.. the British rider was too fast.. J.J. Haedo makes 5th and B.J. Maynes closes top10..
