I still can't believe how lucky I am here. Even if Rabon would crash out in the last stage, I should get way more points from this race, than I could expected even in the best possible scenario. Really nice compensation for that bad luck of my team in Tour de France.

That was a bad one from us. The fact that bad race planning has messed up Boasson Hagen's chances to get bonus seconds on the flat stages, is kind of annoying. Actually, it's really annoying
Now I'm really looking forward to the final stage, hopefully it will be a fight between the big guns and the yellow jersey, and not see a breakaway run away with it.
Thanks for another report today, Smowz! |

That sure was a Close sprint.
Wonder how the last stage will pan out though, still seems quite open so far, GC-wise.
Great Report too Smowz!

Nice sprint fest. And Swift only 1/3. The green jersey should be a small compensation for that though.

Well, I probably shouldn't be after that last stage where my team in fact gave away the overall win after all, but indeed I am really happy with final results of this race and I am expecting a lot of lucky points for me.
I am not so happy with Rabon's probable next year's wage.

Why i'd be over the moon with Rabon 3rd in this company is a great results , But well done UBS and Project14ti great rides from Frank and Castroviejo. UBS doing very well in one week races after Amador won in Switzerland as well.
Alex can also probably stop worrying about relagation now as well with Gesink still to come |

Selling me Coppel could help with that.
Great results for Milka, 1t4i and UBS. Festina did well also. Great reports Smowz. |

Wow, lucky break by Frank there. And unlucky for Rabon. And awful performance by Hugenhaben. Yikes!

Yeah as I said in the report a very strange last 50km.
Frank, Castroviejo and Pichon in the break seemed foolish and it was really only Aker who attempted to chase towards the end and when their domestiques were at the front the gap was not coming down, similar with Wikipedia.
From what I could see Wikipedia and Koeniggsegg had similar teams here and Wiki scored far better. Swift scored well and Gastauer was decent but not enough yet to allow Vesuvio back in the championship hunt. Milka could still slip in the race possibly, whilst Pearl remain a threat with a strong final stage.
I think Puma had a tough one they had a weak team but teams around them scored possibly better than projected. Gilbert tumbled down GC in that last stage but Pendletons dominated the KoM comp, Heineken took a stage and B and O had a low key race but still has solid overall points.
For us Van Stay, Moinard and Bobridge had good races should keep us in those mid table positions and in a hilly stage race that is a good result. UBS and Project 1t4i were the big winners of that last stage and the will be fighting with us in that mid table haven.

The hopes that Coppel will be available for a sale in the off-season are dependant on Bewley's demands on his salary, really.
I really would like to keep him, but that may not be likely possible. Bewley still has quite a lot of races remaining and he is still almost leading the overall rankings of PT. I guess he will want something around 1,1-1,3M and even if Coppel and Henao would like to accept lower wages than they have now, somebody will have to go as some of my talents will want more money for sure.
And anyway, I totally forgot - big thanks to Smowz for reports!

Oh my oh my oh my.
I can be really happy with the outcome of this race. Laurent Pichon finishes the race in 7th and Diego Ulissi takes 11th. Some decent stageresults and 2nd in the points classification is a nice little bonus.
I'm not the best scoring team here for sure, but I'm quite happy with the way that went. I can see my self closing the gap to a couple of the opponents slightly ahead of me here.

That won't go down as our best race this season, that's for sure
Our team mates didn't look strong enough to chase down anyone, and in the end we paid the price. A bit of a disappointing GC, though, it really underlines that "everything can happen" in such a stage race.
Thanks for the nice reports, Smowz! Hopefully we'll be allowed another try at Tour of Norway next year, if the race stays at the calendar |

Well, I have to be happy with that last stage as it keeps Pendleton's at least in sight.
I disagree that B&O scored better than expected, and I still don't see Heineken having a better last season quarter than us.
Strange that all season long I was preparing for PCT, and as I realised the rankings looked pretty good, I started thinking about PT as well. As soon as I did so, the situation worsened
So to conclude this race, Wynants did a great job to get us some KoM points as he definitely wasn't the designated guy to go for that.
That said, absolutely abysmal performances by Kelderman and Vogt, who both couldn't care to finish even close to similar riders. Not that there was a chance in the GC, but our KoM campaign would've been more successful if they tried.
A very weird last stage, congratulations to UBS. I hope PCM 13 receives some good patches, otherwise I fear the same happening more frequently next season.
Thanks Smowz for the nice reports

Oh my god yes Frank!!!!!! I can't believe he just did that!!! This is amazing, we didn't win any GC races last year, but now we have won 2 week-long races. So glad Frank did it too as one of my Swiss riders! I'm absolutely thrilled, thank you Smowz for the amazing race reports!
