Try use IE (just a suggestion)
Spot on. One of the first things I did when C.tv hired me was to file a full report on the website, and top of the list of priorities was to make it Firefox compatible. As you can see, that was an issue that hasn't been dealt with. Using IE makes everything run much smoother, and since you've already got it installed on your PC anyway that shouldn't be too much hassle.
As for the logging in issue... I don't know what could cause that, other than you a) trying to watch content you're not subscribed to; or b) You're unable to log in for some reason (incorrect password or unactivated account). Have you ever successfully logged in? Try logging in using the side panel on the front page, and if it doesn't work then send me a PM and I could try looking into it.
the same thing was happening with IE, but nevermind as it's working now. It's still happening when trying to watch archived italian reaces, but of course that's perfectly normal as I've only subscribed to a Premium account, which I believe doesn't include the italian races (Giro, Tirreno), right?
The races I should get are back to working fine. However, since it's floated a bit between working and not working, I'm not holding my breath...we'll see.
Thanks for the help and I'll PM you if it stops working again

Okay! I'm not sure why it's not working 100% correctly, but I hope it sorts itself out. We've got a few servers, so on rare occasions you can be directed to one while it's having a little trouble, either because it's under strain from a lot of traffic or because of the magic internet demons that like to cock up the internet at random.
Yep, the Italian races are for Versus subscribers only. There is talk of a different, all-encompassing package to includethe Giro, etc..., as well as the Premium/Vuelta, but I imagine that due to broadcasting rights that'll only be available in the USA anyway.
There's some gems out there on the Premium Channel, and one of the big things for 2008 will be providing regularly updated editor's picks and popular races to make it easier to find those great highlights. You've picked a great time to become a Cycling.tv member! |

The most uttered phrase by any Software Engineer: "why the **** doesn't it work?????? It doesn't make sense!"

That very much sucks. Especially because the cycling public is mostly european (like myself). The italian races are some of my favorites. For instance, I much prefer the Tirreno to Paris-Nice (the same way as I prefer the Giro and Vuelta to the Tour). Oh well....one can hope. Especially from from RAI Italia who seem to randomly pick italian races to stream online.

Spare me the marketing lingo
But I must say the site looks very nice. As long as the problems are sorted for good, it looks great, apart from some archived races not working, but nothing's perfect so no problem.

Speaking of RAI, I actually got RAI UNO at my new apartment -- along with a lot of other weird international TV-channels that I'll never use anyway |

Here's the bad news: cycling is mostly on RAI Sport and sometimes on RAI DUE

So, let's see what else I got:
I got a lot of those stupid German channels, ZDF, ARD and RTL. But seeing that they stop transmitting every time someone is caught I guess I won't rely on them. That leaves me with TV2 and TV2 Sport, two Danish channels. However, both channels will not be showing as much cycling as they used to this year
Long live Cycling.tv! |

What would you use them for? It's not like I'm ever watching any of those channels. I don't even watch the Norwegian and Swedish channels (althougn my girlfriend does). I also got TV5 Monde -- but why? |

I have 200+ channels...I watch two...
5 or 6 if you count those I watch once or twice a month whenever there's a game or race I want to see.

Just because I was wondering if you could get the foreign channels on a cheap package, I might invest in a Sky subscription...I'm not prepared to pay for a full package
and yes, I know Eurosports 'free', but I'm interested in learning more Spanish and French too. |

Well, you'll have to ask someone british. I doubt anyone else will know. The only British Channels I get are BBC World and BBC Prime...oh yes and Sky News
There isn't much cycling on random channels other than RAI Sport, DSF (the Swiss races) and Sporza...which I don't have

Nope - you don't get many foreign channels - although there's one French news channel which isn't so bad if you want to learn French - it has its programmes in both French and English (I think) - apart from that, you've pretty much got nothing but about 800 channels you'll never use - although there is actually a lot more you will watch than everyone else (I watch about 30-40 different channels) |

It's unsure whether or not it's going to be shown on TV in Australia? That's weird. I thought there'd be a lot of interest. |

well id watch it - its definitely not telecast on free to air tv - might be on one of the lower sports channels on cable though. im just hoping they will at least report it on the news.
am i correct in thinking it isnt going to be shown on the free cycling.tv channel?
