Nice attempt from the team, but as ever Van Heerden cannot finish it off, so slightly frustrating.
Still nice to see them go all in.
The next stage may well stick together with gaps still small between some of the main favourites, those that lost time there were needless.

Weird that Ciolek managed to hang on whilst others couldn't who are better than him.
Well he feels probably that the contract for next year isn't for sure and starts to overperform.
Looking forward to the next stage as it might be the first test for the GC guys. If someone looks not good there then it would be a bit worse on the mountains.

Kind of a low key start to the Tour for me, but I like the Granjel Cabrera got a podium and that Pedraza is avoiding splits. Need all advantage I can get before the mountain starts.

Awesome to go into the green jersey. I hope Guerao can keep it for another day, but Bennati might survive the hills and get a few points.
So far the Tour have been about 100 points better than expected - Atleast!
Now for the spectating, as there are no stages for me until stage 11  - Hoping for some attacks though.

Well done, Impey! A shame he positioned himself on the wrong wheel, as he looked fast on the line.
It will be interesting to see what these hilly stages bring. I don't really have the riders to join a succesful breakaway and win, but here's for hoping Haas proves me wrong

I guess this game wants the Wildcard teams to target stage wins and not try for GC. Good thing I have nothing to lose from this race otherwise I would be pissed lossing critical time on a flat stage.

Solid team performance! Would not have expected two riders inside the top ten. Duarte, Brambilla and Sagan also well placed on the stage, and came in with the first group. Great!

Finally chance to catch up on the Tour, nice reporting so far. Not a good TTT but at least all flat obstacles since have been safely cleared. And some nice variety in the stage winners.

I hope that everyone was somewhat happy with that decision to change the stage. We couln't get access to the file we needed to fix the narrow roads and this was pretty much the closest available match - similar average gradient and length for the final climb, and hard enough to cause some selection before that.

A pretty big swipe there from Cunego, certainly not a big problem for Madrazo but does ignite the GC race certainly.
Several withdrawals, not perhaps the most surprising riders but even so given the lack of withdrawals overall this year it will be a bit of a blow for those teams.
Nice to get the stage out there really and probably good to see a decisive hilly one really.

No beating Cunego in this terrain and a reasonable replacement for the malfunctioning stage file....
Clawing back one minute on Cunego in the time trial is not all impossible for Pluchkin. Definitely is exciting
