Nice Amador!! Loving this race, couldn't be happier with our results so far. Not to mention Matthias Frank sitting in the top 10. Id be happy with a podium overall from Amador, because I think Schleck will edge him out

Denifl also seemed to have tired himself out with all the early attacks, not pleased to see him slip to 15th overall.

Pretty good stage for Vesuvio with all bar the final kilometre going our way. Schleck remains well placed, and Samwel is actually climbing well here after a nowhere Vuelta.

pcm12 is such a temperamental beast, just when you think it is time to put the dog down it comes up with a cracking stage.
Obviously ecstatic with the stage win, Stubbe was bought with the vague hope of supporting Sella and occasional mountain stage breaks. A real career moment for him.
Behind Amador outlasts Schleck, Pluchkin et al. Fantastic for UBS.
Bit of a killer for CalGiant and Bacardi though their GC riders had a nightmare. B and O would have expected at least a podium out of Pluchkin too.

Wow, looking at the stage profile and especially that last climb, I was sure there wouldn't be significant gaps.
Pluchkin redeemed the horrible stage yesterday here with that performance, while Intxausti and Brajkovic clearly couldn't.
Kohl with a rather surprising podium clearly overperformed as well as Amador, congratulations to both teams!
In terms of our racing, good to see Wynants at least trying, though it obviously was useless.
Delage with a Top 50 overall is quite good, plus two further guys in the Top 100.
Let's hope the great Dauphiné performance makes up for the point loss here.

That's more like it. Finally some normal gaps forming. Shame that the stage is yet again given to a breakaway group though.
Fothen up to 6th in the GC is pretty nice, but like always I score absolutely shit from the stages because it's random breakaways who win on 50% of the mountainstages, and the other 50% is a large group sprint, and my climbers can't sprint.

If only Costagli hadn't lost 15 minutes he would be top 15 rather than 26th. At least that seemed to be a proper mountain stage rating. No hills involved thank goodness (not often I say that!)
Got the young riders jersey back though! Couple of points in that. |

If you're thinking of the mountain/hill ratio of stage 8, SN edited the stats before that stage. It had an mountain/hill ratio of 0.62, but SN made the riders have the same hill stat as their mountain stat going into that stage. meaning riders like Costagli and Samwel raced the two last stages on 79/79 in mountain/hills, and Boasson Hagen 70/70.
That was at least what my screen said when I played the final two stages, though, admittedly I don't know much about technical things in PCM, so it's probably best that SN explains it
And yeah, I really enjoyed seeing how that final stage unfolded. Though, I found stage 8 good as well. We've seen in several PCM's that the yellow jersey gives wings, and I suspect that was really the only reason why Sanchez was able to hang on.
I found the gaps behind the first 35 realistic as well for such a stage, though, obviously riders like Costagli and Intxausti shouldn't have lost that much. But that wasn't due to the mountain/hill ratio and their hill stat, as they had the same mountain and hill stat. They were horribly positioned, and then PCM12 just seems to give them up, and let them come home ages behind.
Hope you all enjoyed reading the race, congratulations to Bushwackers and his team, Amador was just outstanding on that final stage.

7th in GC by Pedraza is good, you can always trust him doing decently. Nice to see Kohl performing, but it was very tight all the way from 3rd to 8th. The TTT did really play a big part here.

Wow, I can't believe it, that's our first overall win in the pro tour! Wouldn't rather have it in any other race than the Tour de Suisse either. Well done by Amador, he raced strongly throughout. Thank you ember!!

Kinda disappointing to be so well beaten by Amador, but still, 2nd overall is a good result.

Craven seemed strong on the last stage. Too bad he had to lead out the sprint. Otherwise he could have won the stage, I think.
Favilli wasn't able to get into the breakaway, so sadly, the KoM jersey slipped away.
We had some good stages in this race, but I am still a bit dissapointed. Especially since Craven was so close to a win.
