I am a bit nervous that the next stage is listed as hilly.

Looks like it must have been a real climbers MTT, I am pleasently surprised by how well Sella did. I was hopeful that he would sneak into the top 10 from the TT - but he has moved really deep into the top places now.
The hilly stages look very unpredictable and tough, potentially a lot of changes on GC. A very interesting race, certainly not counting my chickens yet

Aha, great stage reporting pace.
Sad that Sella lost places on GC, this is a worry ahead of his big season goal the Giro.
Massive surprise that Pluichkin got dropped guess he was on a bad day. Valverde is clearly past it too.

Too bad the break couldnt stay away, but great that Kulhavy did to grab those 20 bonus seconds.
If Schleck can stay in contact on that final stage, he just has to make sure Machado doesnt win the stage now. It could turn out to be very important that Schleck leads Spilak by 21 and not 20. But with the bizarre sight of Pluchkin and Valverde struggling on that stage, it seems to be a bit of a lottery.

Nice to have another report!
Big surprise to see Pluchkin and Valverde dropped. Nice to have Topchanyuk in the breakaway, he really is a valuable rider for our team, eventhough he's only on loan. A bit of a shame that Kulhavy won the stage thinking of Spilak's overall chances. Now he'll need to gap the yellow jersey on the final stage, and that will be tough.
Anyway, congratulations to Kulhavy and Roman, that was definitely a superb ride and a deserved win |

Looks like hill stat was more important than expected on that stage. Would explain why Alarcon, Rujano, Uran, etc couldn't follow. Valverde is really peculiar, though. I'm guessing just a really bad day.

Seems like VDB learned from his mistakes
7th on GC is amazing.
Surprising to see the first attack stick with all favourites following.
Heider with a very good performance climbing a lot in the GC and Nerz consolidating his position bodes well for an unexpectedly big chunk of points out of this.
Now on to the more hilly stage, where still everything can be lost judging by who fell behind quite a bit today.

Superb win!
Really nice that the little bit over-price I paid for Kulhavy in the off-season pays off already in this race. Too bad that I can't say a similar words about Uran, but he still have a lot of races to show something. Still, an 11th place isn't too bad so far, the competition here is quite big. Hopefully Kulhavy can retain his lead in mountain competition, that would be an indeed good race for my team.

That was almost really awesome for us, but it turned out to just be alright. Amador only moved up one place

3rd overall is a great result! Though, with the position Spilak had before the two final stages, I must admit I thought the overall win was a serious possibility. And it was somewhat disappointing to not see Spilak in a single attack on the final stage, and also that he "gave away" the point jersey to Schleck.
Anyway, 3rd overall was brilliant, definitely happy about an overall result like that, as the quality in such stage races is really high.
Congratulations to Schleck and SN. It looked like Schleck was in complete control on the final stage.
And thanks for the reports, roturn. |

Glad Topchanyuk is helpful for the Aker team.
The fact that he finished 30th here in the GC, as a helper also puts a huge smile on my face, since he'll only be better next season

6th is better than I had hoped for. Stage 5 made this race for us. Hopefully Brajkovic gets lucky in California.

What a poor timing for Rolland to just sit up. He was looking at a safe 22-25th place, but instead of following Tim Dees like normal, he lost another 8 minutes.
Great race from Contador though. 4th with this competition is a very nice result. Hopefully he will keep up being a top 5 rider in all the races he ride this season.

Good results for me. 11th and 20th place + stage win + KOM overall win. That's not bad.

Very nice to have victory secured! Already had 1 race go wrong as a Schleck led into the final stage this season. And the bonus of stealing the points jersey too.
Thanks for all the reports roturn
