Today it was planed to have a rider in the breakaway, Bryan Coquard tried many times but the pack did not want any of us to escape.

The third Cobbled sector was quite destructive, 4 of us managed to stay in the lead group with riders like Tom Boonen, Sep Vanmarcke or Geraint Thomas. In a group 50" behind us were Fabian Cancellara and Sylvain Chavanel and in a third group at 2'00 was Juan Antonio Flecha.

After the last cobbled sector, we were still four in the leading group composed of 37 riders, the group of Cancellara joined ours before the cobblestones.

25 km from the finish, Fabian Cancellara accelerated, he knew he had poor chances to win in a mass sprint against guys like Boonen, Degenkolb and even Cavendish. He had over 1'00 but the work of Omega Pharma - QuickStep and Team Argos Shimano was very impressive. He got catch 6 km before the end.

With Vincent JÃ©rÃ´me we helped Alexandre Pichot to be well positioned before the sprint. John Degenkolb was the strongest today.

Again I finished in the same time as the winner at the 19th place.

Team Europcar is the only team with Omega Pharma - QuickStep to have three riders in the lead group. (Vincent finished 16th and Alexandre 14th)

Race Report : Le Samyn

Today I was feeling quite well so I ask the coach to get my chances in the final Kilometers. He agreed I was in good shape and he wanted to test me. He also told me to help the other if I failed.

Today BjÃ¶rn Thurau tried hard to be in the breakaway, but again the other teams did not let him go. HE did not finish the race due to the bad weather condition.

As I planed, I attacked 25km from the finish line. I had 30" max on the pack. When they caught me, GrÃ©gory Rast (RadioShack - Leopard) accelerate. As I promise to the coach, I took his wheel and I never work with him. The pack soon joined us.

5 km form the end, I bring Alexandre Pichot and SÃ©bastien Turgot to the front of the pack and after I let Alexandre do the work for SÃ©b.

Alexandre launched the sprint and when SÃ©bastien started his, he was already in front of everyone.

SÃ©bastien won his first race this year and he showed the others his abilities on cobblestones.

As for myself, I ended in the 55th place (I did not took part in the sprint).

Race Report : GP Ville de Lillers - Souvenir Bruno Comini

Today was a stage for sprinters or fighters. As I am none of them, I decided to help a team mate to get the best result possible.

First it was Morgan Lamoisson who was the first to attack. he made a breakaway with 5 other riders, 15 riders joined them later. The pack let the 20 riders go.

Of course the pack was riding fast to avoid big gaps and 15km before the end the breakaway was over. In the team we decided to go for a sprint finish and I was the first to lead the train for Yukiya Arashiro and them for Bryan Coquard.

Bryan was very strong but Florian Vachon (Bretagne - SÃ©chÃ© Environnement), who took his wheel out sprinted him in the last 100 meters.
Bryan got a great 2nd place.

Today no one really had the legs to go in the breakaway so we decided to stay together in the middle of the pack during the stage. I took part in the chase but not with all my power.

The sprint train was doing well but an Omega Pharma - QuickStep rider blocked Alexandre Pichot and he delayed the sprint of SÃ©bastien Chavanel. In the end, Kris Boeckmans (Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team) won the stage. SÃ©bastien did 6th.

The first part of the race was not very interesting to report so I jump to the last 15 kilometers where I decided to leave the pack.

I was soon joined by Alexandre Pichot and , because he was the fastest, I led him to the finish.

Of course we had no chances against the pack but when we were caught, I did not stop riding. Florian Vachon (Bretagne - SÃ©chÃ© Environnement) won the stage, SÃ©bastien Chavanel did 5th, Bryan Coquard 8th and Alexandre 12th.
