Stage no.2
Nothing except TOP3 would not satisfy us. We have 2 cards to play with,maybe even three, Rogina , Nose and Fajt so we just can't lose chance. This maybe our first chance for first stage and GC win this year. I will just say,enjoy report.
Very cold day! 3° celsius was,but our guys are from very cold hills in Slovenia , so it didnt make any problem for us.
No one wanted to attack,except our guy,Hocevar,who thought he can do something and maybe to take polka dot jersey.
Also,few kilometers after that Retschka and Van Zandlebeek attacked and tried to join him. At that moment , situation was like this :
P -> 2minutes -> E2 -> 4 minutes -> E1 , so , their chances was small.
And,as expected,20 kilometers after their attack,guys in ex-E2 was caught. Hocevar is still at front,with 3 minutes of advantage
It was about 57kms to go,when Lawson Craddock attacked. Things got serious in that moment,knowing that he is one of the favourites of this race.
We had 2 guys feeling awesome today,Nose and Rogina. We decided to set off Nose and if peloton catch his group,Rogina could attack. Also,right after Nose attacked,Konovalovas tried to follow him.Another leader attacking.
And they finally made 1 group with 40 seconds of gap between them and peloton. Everything can still happen,they got Hocevar,also.
10km banner,Van der Lijke and Golcer behind , trying to get 1st group.
3kms to go,everything is prepared for sprint,right at that moment, Golcer matched 2 groups,but have they enough energy for sprint?
Groenisseg and Nose started sprinting first,seems like other guys don't have enough power. Can Nose get this?
AND YES! YES! YES! Tomasz Nose easily outsprinted Groenisseg and got win! What an amazing feeling! I will just say YES! But it would be great if they got some gap , also.
We will check that in Stage and GC result.
