At least the team was aggressive, onward to the mountains!
BTW, Fraile rides for CSC not WWE looks like the black jerseys fooled you

Great work by Zabel, not that great by Castenada... But I think the hills are killing him, unfortunatly. At least Zabel is showing great promise

Oh Yes Chicchi you beauty!!!
That is far far better than i dared hope before the race! A fricking podium! YES!
Nice to see the Boeing boys also wanting to get away and get stuck in. JTL is loving his breaks across the season.
Congrats to the stage winner as always, probably not as happy as i am

Well done by Hutarovich there, Avelino looked unbeatable, so a 2nd place is good for us. Too bad about the screw up in the 2nd stage though.

And here I was thinking that Damrow was a sprinter....
Disappointed by his efforts, but the others did at least try. If Fraille (or what his name was) scores points in this race, will I get them? I mean, CA clearly thinks he's on my team! (Sorry. The report was nice, though!)

This is more like it
Too bad the points jersey is already taken, but I'm really impressed with what Avelino has done today, going for the win all by himself without any sort of leadout by his team mates.
Do we really have to go to the mountains?

Unpopular 9th place for our only fast man in the race Giorgio Brambilla, so no points from sprints in Vancouver.
Now holding good spot with Popovych in the mountains before the TT.
Nice report and congrats to Portugal!

I was expecting little, but somehow Caruso still manages to disappoint.
Next stop: relegation zone!

Guess we will meet you there.
Maybe Ford also survives the second mountain-stage and we can score some points in the TT at least.
Great report, Count!

Things aren't that bad. There are at least half a dozen teams who are guaranteed to finish lower than you this season, you will probably still make top 20 with Efimkin on your team.

That was an incredible report, Count!
Really fantastic work to capture all the action and keep us updated with the race situation whenever I felt you needed to.

Some riders really underperformed here...Alarcon, Keizer, Abal...
And Kritskiy is having an awesome season. |

Great report and what a stage for Metinvest!
Popovych showing finally for the first time this year that he still belongs to the PCT climbing elite. Staying with these three was crucial, but Popo needs to calm down and stop depleting his energy in attacks (even against his teammate!-great job from Hesjedal btw, i thought he will do great in front his home fans).
Now holding with Pozzo in the next stage is our main goal, so we can try to jump above him in final TT. But it will be hard, so holding that 4th place in GC is reality goal.
Kritskiy and Taramae are probably in their own league this year...

Maybe if we are lucky we can crack the top 10 this year... The season started so well, no it's just going downhill

Well done, CountArach. That was a great report!
Kritskiy looks to have an incredible season, and it will be hard for Taaramäe to beat him now.
Also, Alarcon isn't really doing what he did last season, eventhough his win in Corsica was nice. Though, his climbing here was pretty good, after he was poorly positioned at the beginning of the climb. He actually climbed almost one and a half minute faster than the top four on the last eight kilometers or so.
Either that means he'll be dangerous for the final mountain stage, or it simply means the favourites where playing a lot of games up front.
Congratulations to Tinkoff! Kritskiy in this superb form should really give the Russian team an edge in the fight for promotion. |

I expect Alarcon to win the final mountain stage, but i think he cant get better GC than 6th place, top 4 is too far and Abal will crush him in the TT.

Kritskiy is proving to be very deadly if he is at the front near the finish, whatever the terrain. Great to see a good mountain stage too - well reported by CountArach once again.
Kritskiy was out timetrialled by Dekker while leading the Tour of Sochi, so Taaramae can still easily overhaul that gap - especially if he rides a better 2nd mountain stage.

Great performance by Gadret though he will still need some things to go his way before we can think about a Top 10 |
