When San Remo has one such dominant favorite the result is almost always the same: Everyone works against him and he doesn't win
Of course, that's "Almost" always, not always
Well, i think the same and it really would not be much of a surprise. We saw start of the "anti-Sagan racing" league to form during the last year classics and being perfected at Tour, when everybody was just watching him in his breaks, just to avoid bringing him to finish in your group. Rather let win someone else than Sagan, because he will beat you 9 out of 10.
So work of Cannondale in covering attacks will be crucial and Moser/Sagan need to cover it all on Cipressa/Poggio, then they have a big chance to succeed. But if a strong group will slip under their radar, nobody will help them probably.
Oh man, cant wait, hope for a nice race, may the strongest win.

Apparently, it's currently snowing in Milano. As if today wasn't going to be hard enough already!

Cool, good for interesting race, but hard for race control probably. We will watch some mad moves for sure (hopefully not many falls).

If it is similar tough weather around the Poggio then people will get away on the descent.

Nibali and Cance are the safe bets for these moves imo, i hope you-know-who will be their shadow. It will be dangerous...

Rain down there and supposed to continue that way all day. Nibali will be happy!

Good move for Lotto. If they are working for Greipel then they don't have to do the chasing for 300km,

The Turchino might be neutralized, according to CN feed. Snow on the road appears to be the reason.

Gimmi Bruni and Tom Kristensen almost won the 12 Hours of Sebring and Raikkonen won the Australian GP. The only way this weekend is getting better is with a Cancellara (or maybe Sagan) victory. |

Oh no something came up for the day, I can't watch it
I hope I'll be able to find a video of the finale at least without discovering who's the winner first... that'll be hard |

It's been confirmed that Turchino will be taken out. The race will restart down on the coast.

Official confirmation that the Turchino - both the ascent and the descent - have been neutralized.
So the riders will take shuttle buses and cars from the 117km point to 163km and the time gap to the break will be kept at the foot of the climb.
from Cycling news live feed. Thats... very weird!
