Well, actually Eastern-European countries don't win as much as we think. If you watch the list of winners of the last ten years you can see lots of 'Western' countries (Greece and Finland are more Western-minded in my opinion):
2003: Turkey - Sertab Erener - Everyway That I Can
2004: Ukraine - Ruslana - Wild Dance
2005: Greece - Helena Paparizou - My Number One
2006: Finland - Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah
2007: Serbia - Marija Serifovic - Molitva
2008: Russia - Dima Bilan - Believe
2009: Norway - Alexander Rybak - Fairytale
2010: Germany - Lena - Satellite
2011: Azerbaijan - Ell/Nikki - Running Scared
2012: Sweden - Loreen - Euphoria
Edit: With Denmark added as winner of 2013 ofcourse.

I can't believe Lena Meyer Landrut (one of my favourite singers), messed the voting up, felt so sorry for her, how embarrassing for her!

It's a little weird.
Denmark got 12 points like 5 times. Azerbazjan got 12 point more than 15 times I think.
I think the juries gave this to Denmark.
Exaggerating a bit
Azerbaijan got 12 pts 10 times, while Denmark got 12 pts 8 times. Denmark also got points from every country with exception of San Marino. |

But if you look where Azerbaijan got their most of their 12 points from, like I said best song won again but block voting was so evident for us all to see.
I hope Emmelie De Forest releases her album in the UK, I want to download it, amazing singer
EDIT: my drunken state read this wrong ahaha, anyway just put my point across to why I think block voting was evident

Unfortunately block voting will always be a part of Eurovision... even in Western Europe & especially in scandinavia. We in the West tend to complain, when the Eastern european countries vote for each other, but ignore it completely when we do it ourselves.

It's safe to say UK dont do it, also Mika Newton (Ukraine entry from 2011) just messaged me on Twitter, not the first time nice feeling when a singer gives up their time for fans

I would say that UK still have a minor block vote together with Ireland, but otherwise no.
Awesome regarding Mika Newton

We only give Ireland 1 point, I am sure we voted on best song in giving Denmark 12 points.

I don't recognize "block voting" here in Denmark. Our fellow Scandinavians didn't give us 12 points at all. I think the highest we got, was 10 from Sweden. Correct me if I'm mistaken.
EDIT: Norway didn't even give us 8 points, but we gave them 12. The kindness isn't mutual at all.

Finland: 12p -> Norway
7p -> Denmark
4p -> Sweden
Sweden: 12p -> Norway
10p -> Denmark
0p -> Finland
Denmark: 12p -> Norway
8p -> Sweden
2p -> Finland

7p -> Denmark
0p -> Finland
No, they didn't gave 12 point to Denmark, but if you look at the points the Scandinavian coutries gave: You can also call this "Block voting" |

Well I explained it wrong. I meant that we don't here in Denmark have the benefits from the "block voting". I mean Norway gave us 7 and Finland gave us seven. That is although 10 points missing and if you add it up with the points we "didn't have" from Sweden we actually lost 12 points.
Last year when Sweden one, they got 12 from all their neighbours (again, correct me if I'm wrong), but we didn't have that this year. If you look at the 12's, 10's and 8's Denmark had, it is a whole wide audience. Not just the Scandinavians.
12's:
United Kingdom
Serbia
Italy
France
Iceland
Ireland
Slovenia
Macedonia
I don't see ANY Scandinavian countries here.

No they do not. They are a part of the Nordic countries, but no of the Scandinavians.
