Stage 7
Could Matthews seal the points jersey?
Straight from the gun a group of 7 got away, with Amador of Movistar the best placed on GC, 7 minutes off.
Thankfully because of that, Lampre had to close it down, and with the help of BMC, they had it under control.
With 5 to go, we were in the perfect position to achieve our objective.
As we hit the final k, Keleukeire delivered Matthews.
Spoiler Take that Lampre, 2nd place, and the points jersey to boot.

Good race
Try to post the results after every stage. It is a lot easier to follow if you do

GP de Marsellaise
First day of the European starts with a one day classic around Marseille, France.
I have brang a strong team, which has the option of attacking over the hills, or waiting for a mass sprint.
From the gun 4 riders got away easily, including one man from Argos Shimano. We tried to get Beepu into the break, but the leading teams decided to shut his attacks down.
We then stayed at the front and controlled the pace for the whole day and with 50km to go had the break at only 2 min.
As we climbed the penultimate climb, the work of Beepu, Tuft and Howard was done, and it looked like it would end a in mass sprint finish.
Under the km banner and Albasini had positioned Davis perfectly. Could he finish off.
What a month we have had.
Top 10
1 Allan Davis Orica - GreenEdge 3h34'27
2 Lieuwe Westra Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team s.t.

The first month of the 2013 season has concluded, with some wonderful results for the team. Out of the 14 stages that we have raced in, we have won 7 of them, including 5 at the Santos Tour Down Under. We also wrapped up the sprinters jersey at the Tour De San Luis and Santos Tour Down Under, whilst Gerrans won GC at the Santos Tour Down Under, with Goss and Weening also in the top 5.
The riders also were extremely happy with their achievements
Simon Gerrans
Its always a nice start to the season with the road nationals early in the month, than the Santos Tour Down Under later on. As you become older you appreciate how brilliant it is to have such an important World Tour race held in Australia, making it even more special to have won it 3 times
Matt Goss
Nice way to start the year. Never really dominated the Santos Tour Down Under, so it was nice to get some miles into my legs and still achieve a brilliant result
Allan Davis
I dont mind the hillier one day races, so l knew that the first race in Marseille could be one to kickstart off a big year for me.
Moving into Febuary will see riders at the Tour of Oman, Qatar, Langkaw, Meditterranen, Algarve and Haut Var, whilst also racing some early season classics including Omloop Het Niewsblad. We are hoping for a massive month as we head to defend our title at Milan San Remo, and look for better performances at the cobble and Ardenees classics.

Stage 1
We are hoping to get a podium finish here, as we are up against some strong competition in Cavendish, Sagan and co.
Not sure who is our main sprinter. Matthews has form, but Kroupis is a better allround rider. Will see who feels the best as we head into the final 20ks of each stage.
Various attacks in the first quarter of the race meant that the peleton got all the way through to the first sprint without letting a break go, so Garmin leadout Farrar and Hunter to get early time bonuses.
As Farrar and Hunter came back to the peleton, two riders, including Walker of DRAPAC broke away. This became a problems as at the next sprint point, Garmin went crazy to lead out Farrar. Our lads physically were hurting.
As we hit the final 5k, both Matthews and Kroupis knew that they didn't have the legs today.
Sagan ended up winning the stage. Matthews was our highest in 13th.
