1 or 2 times yes. 6 or 7 times gets very tiresome, and ridiculously unbalanced, especially with the stupid bonus seconds.

Are they going to keep adding more Rodriguez-favoured stages each year until he actually manages to win the race?
Well, RodrÃguez is helping them to design some stages (yes, a favourite for the race is helping design the parcours, Spain is different), so they must return the favour somehow.
In other news, the Vuelta a Murcia will be a one day race this year. The parcours will be hilly and, I fear, possibly ending in a hill top finish.

The Giro had all those mountains and it was fun wasn't it? -.-"
I like the Vuelta's stages with hills in the finish, it makes the race interesting because anyone can suddenly crack |

If riders didn't wait for the last mountain, or the last kilometre, to actually try something in the stages of many mountains, it'd be even better, because anyone could suddenly crack, and that'd really have an influence. |

It went from 5 days to 3 to 2 and last year I made the joke it would soon be a 1 day stage race.....
Note to the organizers: I was only joking

Andy Schleck has a freudian slip
It’s their decision, but a guy like Bobby Julich, who admitted to using EPO but changed his attitude afterwards, should not be disowned. I know him for a long time. At Saxo Bank, he helped me a lot and he was one of the cleanest on the team.
Let's repeat
one of the cleanest on the team

I don't really wanna know wtf was going on at Saxobank, but from that sentence, it's very bad. |

Velonation had it as "honest" rather than "cleanest", maybe it was a translation muck-up?
"One of the most honest" still doesn't sound great though |

Indeed. Even if it was a translation snafu and he said "one of the most honest" it's still a pretty revealing thing to say considering Andy was specifically talking about doping and EPO!

Does it really matter if Julich is amongst the cleanest or most honest?
Firstly it means that Julich whas not totally clean/honest.
Secondly it means that there was even worse going on. |

That's exactly the point. Andy has just admitted there was crap going on at Saxo Bank and that he knew about it!
Also, I've read the french original now. He did say clean.

how do you bend the word 'clean' when it comes to doping? |

Quite a lot of different ways I think. Even now you have non-needle and needle teams - the non-needle teams would have you believe they are 'cleaner' than the needle variety who are still clean because they're not doing anything illegal....and they're both clean until someone is caught or has done things in the past....
I guess Andy burst onto the scene when Simoni and others were starting to have tantrums about new methods of doping being better than what he could get from his South American relatives...

Doubt it. The media as usual don't give a crap. Nobody will ask him to explain it.

Since we're on the subject, he also confirmed that his only race after Tirreno will be Criterium International. No Ardennes.
Basically he's going for races he hasn't won yet. Good. And talking about doing the Giro is likely just his way of getting Acquarone to stop hassling him. He might do the Vuelta. Maybe.
Either way, Giro leadership is already promised to Majka
He also said he won't try to win every race for once, so he won't be dead tired at the Tour like in 2011 and 2010, and that his pre-season fitness testing shows he's producing more power than in 2008

To already confirmed, Androni, the rumours are the wildcards will go to Katusha and Colodeportes.
Another rumour is that RCS also asked Vini Fantini & Bardiani CSF Inox to form a single team to ride at the Giro.
Not sure if that's permitted by UCI though.

RCS really want MTN to be there, but MTN are trying to push back to next year so they can be competitive.
