ING - InBev Cycling Team signed another oldie, but it's a great one. It's John Gadret. He's 32 right now. His last year was his the in his career. He podiumed the Giro. Well, you can see why we're happy with him now. To have him as a domestique is great. He's also a good Cyclocross rider. He will be used in at least 1 GT, but will mainly participate in smaller stage races. We think that for example Catalunya would suit him perfectly, with the mountainous route this year.

2 signings at a time from now on. 2 completely different riders. Maarten Wynants(29) signed for two years, and is a massive addition for the cobbles squad, maybe even able to Top 10 by himself. Daniele Pietropolli(31) is different. He signed for three years, but he's from the rare kind of riders that can climb and sprint. In the GT's, he will be an addition in both the flat and mountainous stages. The perfect domestique. He's getting a bit old, but even on age 34(which he will be halfway the third season), he will still be very valuable. The signing of Wynants will surely please our sponsors, since he got quite a few fans in the BeNeLux. We will try to let at least half of our signings be from the BeNeLux from now on.
That doesn't mean that we're not going for riders outside the BeNeLux, there are quite a few nice riders out there.

Some great signings again today. We managed to strenghten the sprinters squad, with Kris Boeckmans. He's a good sprinter, able to top 10 (smaller) races himself easily, and he will also be a good leadout for Johan Veenhof. Jeremy Roy can be called the best fighter in the world. Why? He was awarded with 'The most agressive rider award' in the last TdF. He didn't win a TdF stage yet, but he can surely do that in the next two years. The problem with this TdF edition is that it lacks hilly stages a bit...
For our next signing, you can expect a less known name... We want to buy a good domestique, who doesn't complain about the lack of leader/free roles he gets. Our second signing might be great again...
