Did you get that as Demare to win.
EDIT: Still, at least I want to have him to fight for win's.

Two stage races in Europe were our only races in April.
Notable Stage Results:
Stage 1 - Manuel Belletti - 2nd
Overall GC Results:
7th Manuel Belletti
52nd Isaac Speirs
54th Petr Vakoc
61st Marco Haller
71st Michal Kolar
75th Perikles Ilias (KoM Winner)
78th Arnaud Demare
Review:
A good race for Manuel Belletti as he had a good result in the 1st stage, getting second and then holding on to finish 7th in the overall GC in this sprinters stage race. The rest of the team was active in breaks which lead to Perikles Ilias taking home the King of the Mountains (such as they were) jersey. Not every race can be a smashing success and getting a decent GC result as well as a KoM jersey satisfies us for spending 4 days in Portugal
Notable Results:
Stage 1 - Isaac Speirs - 5th
Stage 2 - Isaac Speirs - 10th
Stage 4 - Alexander Schrangl - 7th
Stage 5 - Markus Eibegger - 3rd
Overall GCResults:
5th Markus Eibegger
23rd Perikles Ilias
34th Alexander Schrangl
43rd Paidi O'Brien
48th Arnaud Demare
58th Zico Waeytens
64th Isaac Speirs
1st - Team Classification
Review:
A race of ups and downs for Magna which saw several of its 'lesser' members fight for good results. Isaac Speirs started off strong in the sprints, getting a 5th place result in stage 1, a feat he was unable to duplicate later on in the race. In the key stage 4, an out of the blue attack from Alexandr Schrangl almost took the field by surprise - he finished 7th in the stage, but perhaps more importantly, Eibegger and Ilias finished with the pack. On Stage 5, Markus Eibegger followed an opportunistic attack and was strong enough to grab 3rd place in the sprint, giving him bonus seconds to move up in the GC.
A top 5, a podium and the team classification meant that this was a pretty good trip for us, certainly better than our other Scandinavian adventure!
Two stage races that showcased the resilience of the squad. No one was dominant, but we were able to come out with some good results nonetheless. Its these races where you don't have the best team but carve out good results nonetheless that can make or break a season.

Apologies for this running so late, but better late than never!
Rund um den Eschborn-Frankfurt
The Route
A race that is theoretically for the sprinters, the route is quite hilly in the first section which will create pressure on the sprinters to hold on, while the puncheurs hope of an early attack leading to a victory.
The Squad
Isaac Speirs
Manuel Belletti
Arnaud Demare
Perikles Ilias
Zico Waeytens
Petr Vakoc
Michal Kolar
Ilias is here to ensure if the race was more of a hilly one that we will have some say in the outcome. Demare and Belletti have shown themselves to be at home in the hilly sprints so we expect that they might find some success here
Turul al Romaniei
The Route
This 9 day stage race in Romania features a short prologue, 7 mostly flat stages and 1 mountainous climb
The Squad
Carl Naibo *Leader*
Manuel Belletti
Antoine Matteau
Arnaud Demare
Isaac Speirs
Petr Vakoc
Michal Kolar
Naibo is our secondary mountain leader and he gets his shot for success in Romania as long as he doesn't lose time on the flat stages (spoiler alert, he does!). Belletti, Speirs and Demare are here to contest the sprints while Antoine Matteau is someone who may look for success in a breakaway
Tour of the Czech Republic
The Route
A 5 day HC stage race in the Czech Republic will be a place to test ourselves against the best of the Continental Tour...yet likely we will get absolutely hammered - its a learning experience though!
The Squad
Perikles Ilias
Alexander Schrangl
Arnaud Demare
Dominik Hrinkow
Manuel Belletti
Antoine Matteau
Petr Vakoc
Michal Kolar
Considering Ilias will likely be the weakest leader, expect us to attack a lot through Matteau and perhaps Demare and Schrangl. We have no hope in the stage 4 ITT, but hope to perhaps surprise elsewhere.
Barcelona Classic
The Route
A 188km circut that features climbs of 11% but they are short enough for many to believe that this will be a race decided by sprinters.
The Squad
Perikles Ilias
Arnaud Demare
Manuel Belletti
Isaac Speirs
Petr Vakoc
Michal Kolar
Marco Haller
Magna-Ryanair has been pretty successful in these hilly sprints so far this season with Belletti, Speirs and Demare each showing that they are capable of good results. A strong Spanish contingent is expected that will probably be favored to get a good result on home soil.
Ronde van Belgie
The Route
A 5 day stage race with 3 flat stages for the sprinters before a 20km ITT and a deciding looking stage 5 that should be a terrific race decider.
The Squad
Perikles Ilias *Leader*
Isaac Speirs
Manuel Belletti
Dominik Hrinkow
Arnaud Demare
Zico Waeytens
Petr Vakoc
Speirs and co for the sprints, Ilias for the GC, with some capable helpers in Hrinkow and Waeytens. Our hilly squad has been inconsistent but hopefully they will find themselves some luck in Belgium.

May as a month started well and then ended up quite badly due to some bad performances and some bad management
Rund um den Eschborn-Frankfurt
Results:
1st Manuel Belletti
8th Isaac Speirs
10th Arnaud Demare
14th Petr Vakoc
26th Perikles Ilias
44th Michal Kolar
50th Zico Waeytens
Review:
Manuel Belletti continues to be one of the most consistent sprinters at the CT level and it is here in Germany he makes his breakthrough, taking a deserved sprint victory over a small but tough field. The rest of the squad did well with Speirs getting 8th and Demare getting another top 10.
Notable Results:
Stage 2 - Isaac Speirs - 6th
Stage 3 - Isaac Speirs - 9th
Stage 4 - Isaac Speirs - 6th
Stage 5 - Antoine Matteau - 4th
Stage 7 - Isaac Speirs - 10th
Overall GC Results:
42nd Carl Naibo
46th Antoine Matteau *KoM winner*
48th Manuel Belletti
68th Arnaud Demare
81st Michal Kolar
93rd Isaac Speirs
103rd Petr Vakoc
Review:
A flat out awful race for Magna which saw Carl Naibo absolutely fail spectacularly in the GC competition while Speirs, Belletti, and Demare failed to account for much in the sprints. Naibo was expected to be an outside contender at a top 10 but instead accomplished essentially nothing. The sole bright point was Canadian Antoine Mattaeu who got in the break in stage 5 and was able to secure the KoM jersey for the team.
Tour of the Czech Republic
Notable Results:
None
Overall GC Results:
29th Perikles Ilias
87th Alexander Schrangl
97th Antoine Matteau
103rd Petr Vakoc
106th Arnaud Demare
108th Dominik Hrinkow
112th Manuel Belletti
Review:
We did not expect much but at least we showed off the jersey in stage 2 as Perikles Ilias was active in getting 26th on the stage and some crucial KoM points. It all didn`t account for much but that was to be expected.
Results:
7th Manuel Belletti
21st Arnaud Demare
22nd Marco Haller
36th Petr Vakoc
37th Perikles Ilias
38th Isaac Speirs
74th Michal Kolar
Review:
A race that should have been along the lines of our success in Germany fell to pieces as the breakaway escaped for the victory. The team got a modicum of points but obviously would have been better served chasing the break
Notable Results:
Stage 1 - Arnaud Demare - 6th
Stage 2 - Arnaud Demare - 8th
Stage 3 - Manuel Belletti - 4th
Stage 3 - Arnaud Demare - 6th
Stage 5 - Perikles Ilias - 5th
Stage 5 - Dominik Hrinkow - 10th
Overall GC Results:
20th Perikles Ilias
23rd Zico Waeytens
28th Dominik Hrinkow
37th Petr Vakoc
38th Manuel Belletti
45th Isaac Speirs
68th Arnaud Demare
Review:
A race that had some decent individual performances to be sure but didn`t account for much in the overall. The problem was the finale wasn`t hard enough to make up for the stage 4 ITT that we had no one up to the standard necessary. A mistake in race planning and race picking for sure.
Success in Germany should have heralded in a month of success for Magna-Ryanair but instead it was the lone bright point. The Tour of the Czech Republic was always going to end like that, as Ilias struggles against the best of the CT, he is going to get blitzed by the best of the PCT. Carl Naibo continues to produce absolutely nothing even though he should be a reasonably good leader for these races.
This month really drops Magna out of promotion contention and management has quietly conceded that they will be racing in the CT next year and are beginning preparations.

Transfagarasan GP
The Route
A mountainous route in Romania will open our month.
The Squad
Carl Naibo *Leader* *sigh*
Markus Eibegger
Zico Waeytens
Alexander Schrangl
Dominik Hrinkow
Daniel Paulus
Michal Kolar
Naibo leads the team in Romania hoping for a better result than the Turul al Romaniei where he failed to accomplish much of anything. The support is certainly there from Eibegger, Schrangl and Hrinkow.
GP Onda-Boavista
The Route
A hilly one day race in Portugal features plenty of climbs but is not too long which could make it a target for Perikles Ilias.
The Squad
Perikles Ilias
Dominik Hrinkow
Arnaud Demare
Paidi O`Brien
Daniel Paulus
Petr Vakoc
Michal Kolar
Ilias leads on the hills, but many of the top lieutenants have been left at home leaving Hrinkow and O`Brien to provide the support if necessary. A top 10 for Ilias is the target but the Greek has good races and poor races, we are hoping for the former in Portugal.
GP Tokyo
The Route
Magna makes a rare stop in the Far East for this lengthy flat rated race. There isn`t much climbing but the hope is that the small sections at the end will tire out the pure sprinters allowing our sprinters to succeed.
The Squad
Isaac Speirs
Manuel Belletti
Arnaud Demare
Andreas Hofer
Marco Haller
Petr Vakoc
Michal Kolar
The sprint team rides again and it will be on the `big 3` of Belletti, Speirs and Demare to get the result in Japan. Our expectations are reasonable but we think a top 10 or so is probably within reach.
Tour de Beuace
The Route
The 6 day stage race in Quebec, Canada will be the focus of the first goal of the season for Magna-Ryanair. The route is hilly all over but the climb on stage to Mont-Mégantic is expected to be the decisive stage. A Stage 4 time trial could also separate the contenders.
The Squad
Perikles Ilias
Carl Naibo *sigh*
Isaac Speirs
Antoine Matteau
Arnaud Demare
Zico Waeytens
Michal Kolar
This race being a goal we have pulled out all the stops, short of sending Rohregger. Ilias and Naibo will have co-leadership of the GC hopes with Ilias being more comfortable on the hilly sections but with the stage 3 climb being rated quite mountainous, Naibo may find it to his liking. Antoine Matteau will be a hometown hero and his attacking style is likely to be appreciated. A top 5 would satisfy a sponsor goal.
Oberosterreichrundfahrt
The Route
A 3 day stage race in our home country of Austria is the win goal for the team this season. Two hilly stages and a flat stage two will ensure that there will be furious battles to secure extra seconds for GC placements.
The Squad
Perikles Ilias *Leader*
Markus Eibegger
Dominik Hrinkow
Arnaud Demare
Paidi O`brien
Zico Waeytens
Marco Haller
Ilias is the nominal leader but with Eibegger`s ability in the sprints and the race being in Austria the team may work for him as well. This race is expected to bring some of the CTs best puncheurs so we will be put to the test to secure our win goal.

Late Season Promotion Push from Magna - Ryanair
Despite being on the outside looking in of the promotion race for most of the season, Magna - Ryanair's outstanding results over their last few races, mostly from star rider Thomas Rohregger.
Victory at the Tour of Alsace was a good result in a strong field, beating Marco Marzano by 43 seconds in the overall GC.
At Classico RCN, Rohregger finished 3rd behind superstar Arroyo.
A surprise result from Irish rider Paidi O'brien at the GP Yekaterinburg saw him take 2nd after he put in a good effort in the break of the day, but had enough energy in the tank to sprint for a podium position. Irish sponsor Ryanair is said to be very happy with the result.
Next Season Plans
While team officials are remaining quiet about the sponsorship situation, with the teams division for next year not confirmed, team sources indicate they are confident that both Magna and Ryanair will return to sponsor the team, with Magna potentially providing more sponsorship dollars if the team reaches PCT.
With key leaders Rohregger and Naibo getting older it is likely that the team will be in search of new team leaders and are said to be tracking several top Austrian and Irish riders, though team officials admit they are 'dreaming' to think they can get some of the suggested riders.

Promotion seems pretty likely for you with a lot of teams disbanding (about 15 in total). It's even a possibility for me and I'm lying 12th currently. It will be nice to see a few big name Austrian signings for you next season, like maybe even Kohl or Denifl? Rohregger has really served your team well this year. He also had a strong late season charge this year.
There might be a new team with an Irish focus next year, so you can get some opposition on Irish riders

Magna-Ryanair Offseason Report Part 1: A Final Look Back
With the season officially over, Magna-Ryanair surprised many observers by finishing 5th in the Continental Tour and secured a spot in the Pro Continental Tour for the 2014 season.
2013 Continental Tour Standings
1 | 1 | | Team Gazelle | 3005 | 2 | 2 | | Iberia - Comunidad Valenciana | 2435 | 3 | 3 | | Kappa - ENI | 1913 | 4 | 4 | | Die Berg Komt Er | 1788 | 5 | 5 | | Magna-Ryanair | 1686 | 6 | 6 | | Allianz-BMW | 1616 | 7 | 7 | | Banco Nacional de Costa Rica | 1501 | 8 | 8 | | Ekspla-Cision | 1397 | 9 | 9 | | Team PrivatBank | 1362 | 10 | 10 | | Mobil - Castrol Cycling | 1339 |
Goals
Top 10 - CT Team Standings
Achieved!
Certainly a tough fight in a very tightly contested CT division, but our overall strength and diverse scoring threats made this goal a success.
WIN - Oberosterreichrundfahrt
Failed!
While Perikles Ilias put in a strong performance in our home country, he was unable to defeat Joaquin Rodriguez Oliver or the Gazelle hilly squad (represented by Weening), but claimed a very respectable 3rd place. A failed win goal, but a successful race overall.
Top 5 - FBD Éire Tour
Achieved!
Markus Eibegger was one of the pleasant surprises this year for Magna-Ryanair. Often deployed as a secondary leader or a late attacker, Eibegger achieved some notable successes for Magna and at the FBD Eire Tour he achieved a team goal. Eibegger finished 3rd, almost 2 minutes back of the eventual winner Marco Minnard, but his remarkable performance will be remembered by fans for many years to come.
Top 5 - Tour de Beauce
Failed!
We were pretty abject in our Canadian adventure, though ironically it was Antoine Matteau, the lone Canadian in the squad that secured the best overall GC placing for Magna-Ryanir. Unfortunately it was 21st overall.
Top 5 - Tour de Pologne
Failed!
The Tour de Pologne featured an extremely talented field and thus it is no surprise that our goal was failed. Eibegger and Ilias both finished top-15, so a respectable result, but still somewhat a disappointment.
So, all in all our goals were...not a great success. We didn't pick a single Stage race goal when our best rider was Rohregger, who was massively successful in the CT. Oh well.
Coming up in the next edition of Magna-Ryanair's postseason review will be an unveiling of the teams 2014 jersey as well as a brief outline of the teams plans in the contract renewals and transfer period. Hopefully that will go up sometime this week.
For now,
Cheers!

Congrats on promoting, very deserved!
It'll be interesting to see what you'll do with Speirs, since he probably won't do much in the PCT.

Magna-Ryanair Offseason Report Part 2: Our New Look
Today it is confirmed that both Magna International and Ryanair have renewed their sponsorships, both pleased with the progress that the team has made in the short time the team has been in existence. While a team with Austrian and Irish roots with a hint of Canada thrown in isn't a traditional combination, few can argue that it isn't working well (so far).
Thus, with the team promoting to a new division, it is also time to unveil a new look for the team. While our look has not changed too dramatically ensuring that continuity is maintained, it is always nice to get some new shirts!
Thus, with thanks to Cavendish-fan we unveil our shirt below
And again with thanks to Cavendish-fan we are pleased to unveil our equipment - and he has done a fantastic job in designing some standout stuff!
Up next will be the final part of our off-season report, a first look at some potential transfer targets as well as who can be expected to have their contract renewed at Magna-Ryanair.
Until next time,
Cheers!

Magna-Ryanair Offseason Report Part 3: Who Stays, Who Goes
While these are hardly finalized at this point. These are the status of our riders as we go into renewals.
Young, Untochable Prospects
Marco Haller
Daniel Paulus
Andreas Hofer
These riders make up our future core and it is extremely unlikely they will depart the team, for anything short of an absolutely staggering offer.
Solid Domestiques that are unlikely to leave
Markus Eibegger
Alexander Schrangl
Andreas Graf
Dominik Hrinkow
Antoine Matteau
While Eibegger had a great year in the CTour, picking up some unexpected results, these riders will make up the workers for our leaders. Any of them could leave, but unless their contract demands are outrageously high or there is a huge offer for one of them, they are unlikely to leave.
Rider that Our Sponsor Wants Us to Keep
Paidi O'Brien
Winning the Irish National championship has moved Paidi from 'Decent domestique' to 'Useful commodity to our sponsor.' O'Brien is nothing more that decent, but his status as national champ make his valuable.
Sprint Team with an Uncertain Future
Manuel Belletti
Isaac Speirs
The Sprint team at Magna-Ryanair was never supposed to be earth shatteringly good, and it mostly wasn't, though both Belletti and Speirs had their moments. It is uncertain at this time if Magna will have a sprint team in the PCT, certainly there would need to be a top end sprinter acquired if the team had any hope of scoring points. While both Belletti and Speirs are likely to have their contracts renewed, they both may be available in the transfer period.
The Interesting Case of the Greek Puncheur
Perikles Ilias
Perikles Ilias was a solid but not amazing scorer for Magna-Ryanair, but he was generally fun to watch, even if he was launching failed attacks. He is nothing more than a hilly helper or a stage hunter in the PCT, thus he will be renewed. Though if a CT team would be interested in purchasing him for a reasonable fee, he could be back in the CTour, a level where he could be a good, but not great leader.
Austrian Superstar Won't be Leaving
Thomas Rohregger
He's not leaving. He's Magna-Ryanair's talisman and certainly a solid 2nd in command in Mountain races.
Going, Going Gone
Carl Naibo
Would not be coming back to the team unless he paid for his spot.
I was thinking of writing up a part 4 where I write about potential targets in the transfer season...but I have no idea who I'm targetting...so I probably won't be writing that section!
