We'll definitely face each other a lot this year. Japan and, above all, Taiwan, are two of my most important races on the whole calendar.

Hope we'll see a few nice battles! Smile

Looking forward to it!

JK Cycling is currently in the process of finalizing it's budget and calender. Not long now until the first rider is signed! It is very exciting times indeed...

DaBobScotts
DabobScott's was very proud to announce today the fact that JK Cycling will participate in two HC races; The Down Under Classic and the Eneco Tour. Both races will provide a great opportunity for the team to grab some important points in the world and Asian rankings as well as some exposure to our adoring fans.

With the transfer season also now under way, it is only a matter of time before we see the first signing... Who will it be?

DaBobScotts
Rumour has it that JK Cycling could be very close to several signatures. No names yet, but rumours abound as to who it may be. Will it be a local hero? Or a big name rider dropping down to the CT? Hopefully, we'll find out sooner rather than later!

Word is, something might even be signed tonight...

JK Cycling can confirm that last night the paper work was signed to take on Gyung Gu Jang; a young and promising mountain goat. He had this to say about the signing:

"I am looking forward to riding for JK Cycling. I feel that the team is good and that I shall enjoy riding as part of this amazing project. They were also the only team to contact me, so it was an easy choice!"

DaBobScotts also had something to say about the signing of Gyung:

"We are very proud to have Gyung as out first signing not only of the year, but as a team. He is a good representation of where we want to take the team in the future. He is also very excited and willing to be apart of the team. He's a real team player too and I see him becoming quite a strong rider over the next few years, hopefully with JK Cycling."

We look forward to seeing JK Cycling in the not too distant future not only completing their roster but also out on the bike. It is only a matter of time!

Kevin Peeters is JK Cycling's latest recruit. We can expect him to be out the front in the last few meters of any race without a speed hump! He is very excited to join the greatest Asian team on the block, and is adding much more depth to the team. Not to mention that wanted Euro-ness. He will be interesting to watch!

The signatures are starting to roll in now as Eric Baumann is confirmed as JK Cycling's latest signature. We expect him to do well this season, especially in the sprints. The big German has been transferred from Rothaus - Aegon and is looking forward to riding with his new team.

Peeters is a very good signing for the minimum wage Wink

Pretty sure he isn't minimum wage unfortunately, but oh well. He is a very good rider indeed. More so now that he is riding for JK! Grin

Kenji Itami and Tomohiro Hayakawa will be join JK Cycling this year under a loan contract with Meiji. We look forward to having them on board as part of a potentially on going relationship with Meiji. We look forward to seeing them in JK jerseys!

Nariyuki Masuda, Kosuke Makino, Khayabkhyrvaa Uugunbayar and Chan Jae Jang all join JK Cycling in a flurry of signings. The team is really starting to take shape now, with 7 signed riders and 2 loans, bring the total to 9 riders. With at least 6 more signatures to go, and the majority of the team structure in place, it is unknown as to who will be next.

DaBobScotts Under Pressure with Too Few Koreans

While the transfer season is far from over, JK Cycling's team manager, DaBobScotts, is already facing a lot of pressure from Korean sponsors and public, with an outcry claiming that not enough Korean's have been signed. Some people are outraged that other riders have been targeted, like Kevin Peteers, over some Korean talents.

"There is too much of a focus on riders from outside Korean, and not enough from within. I am very disappointed that other international riders are getting positions over Korean nationals." said one outraged fan. "I will continue to support and follow the best team in the Continental Tour, I'm just a bit pissed off is all."

DaBobScotts is not deterred, however.

"There has to be some compromise. The foreign riders that we have signed with and are currently discussing contracts with all understand the team and will add significantly to what the team is. If having other riders in the team helps the team, then we will do it. These riders are very experienced and can offer a lot to the younger Korean and Japanese riders as mentors. They have ridden the European circuit and understand it, and they want to help. They will be a big help in getting not only our younger riders into the sport in general but our older riders into the European races. It's win win."

"The transfer season is also far from over, and we are most definitely still in discussions with other Japanese and Korean riders. It's not over yet!"

Same problem. Only 5 Germans and 3 are still free to go. Wink

Hahaha, I can get away with it with my latest signings now. Two more Koreans to add to the list! Grin

DaBobScotts Dispels Fears with Latest Signings

DaBobScotts was right when he said he was currently negotiating with several Korean riders. Minutes after the interview was published, it was officially confirmed that both Suk-Young Choi and Joon Yong Seo will ride for JK Cycling in the 2013 season. This has bought much rejoice to worried fans and sponsors. We can look forward to seeing what the season will bring!
