After two intense weeks with sponsor negotiations, the team are left with two different options.
According to sources close to the team, the one solution could be the former Team Armavia project, whilst the other sponsor is thought to be bigger, but remains unknown.
The only thing we know by now is that it is one main sponsor and one co-sponsor representing east asian companies willing to spit in a lot more money into the project, than Armavia have done to the current date.
Whilst the deal sounds more lucrative, they require a huge east asian focus, and clearly makes it harder to compete in a market where allready Meiji, Sauber, Bintang, Evian and JK Cycling allready operates. The decision will be released here as soon as we know anything more about the situation.

BREAKING NEWS
Dramatic Armavia breakdown in negotiations, new team ready to enter the cycling world!
Even though the season really began to close in, there were still a lot of buzz inside the PFG-Armavia headquarter in Iran. Allthough PFG had withdrawn early, there were still hope of an renewal with Armavia, but both lack of results and a completely failure towards regional commitment, Armavia saw no other options but to leave the cycling scene for now.
Several sponsors have been knocking on the door the last weeks, and maked an even bigger pressure on Armavia. Finally the two sponsors for the 2014-season are confirmed by the management. Both parts are really happy to present the new Continental Team:
COMPAL-MERIDA
For the first time in Man-Game history, we'll get to see a Taiwanese based cycling project. And this time, with a stricter nationality policy.
Yang Che-Yuan, leader of the mighty Compal Electronics had this to say to the press, this afternoon.
"We have eagerly awaited this moment for a long time now. I've allways been into cycling, and followed the sport with interrest, but even though we don't lack anything towards finances, and are good in organizing large companies, we haven't really had the knowledge to compete with other sponsors cycling wise. But when we've heard that there was a breakdown with former main sponsor PFG, we quickly contacted Merida Bikes who was more than happy to help us out with the daily management of the team, and now we're joining together. for a long term commitment. We are confident that this will be a huge boost towards taiwanese and east asian cycling for several years to come! " |

Great shirt, of course it's an_freeman who designed it. Well, sad to see Armavia to leave the sponsorship, but I hope the regionale focus continues. |

Guessing this means an East Asian target zone??
If so then it's a good job MIAT have left so you can get some Mongolians. South Korea, Japan, China will obviously be heavily populated but North Korea and Nepal should be all yours along with Taiwan obviously. Good Luck |

Yeah, we will actually be targeting some of the best mongolians if Evian want to let go of them after the new sponsorship. No doubt there will be some transfer fights in east asia over the next years, but if it gets too tough for us, we'll sign som taiwanese talent, and try to bring som southeast-asian, and maybe some central asian riders instead. We allready have a couple of good thai and indonesian riders on our current team who will fit nicely into our new squad.
I'll might try to sign Nepalese and North Koreans riders if they'll become available for the next season as well. You can try to research some for me, if you are up for a challenge

All my Mongolians are available. Probably for free, as they're not worth much and none if your riders really interest me for trade except Vanmarcke. Good luck to your new venture |

0. Napolitano is going as well, I don't need a weaker replacement. |

Out of them Grmay, Abraha and Bikienga are riders I'm thinking of as a target, so if you renewed them I could give you a small transfer fee in return in the transfer window.
Seeing Khalilikhosroshani as leaving surprises me. He did really well on loan here this year especially, and he gave us plenty of points with his Tropicale Amissa Bongo podium. I hope he finds a team.

Grmay's availability has already been asked about in PM for some while ago, so I'll probably either keep him myself or sell him to either you or the other team interrested.
Both Ghafari and Khalilikhosroshani has been going between the "keep" and "available" section until I decided to put them as available. That does not mean that their leaving though, I've followed them with huge interrest in your team this season, and both did well and could fit my plans further, but it depends on how I could get the rest of my team within the salary cap. They are definitely not the first to leave, but I need to weigh my options with the limited wage cap. I am slowly trying to adapt my team to riding in CT next year

CountArach: Well, one time has to be the last. And now when we're breaking apart from the old Armavia, it's time for new crappy riders to shine
I guess Adamou and Tamayo Martinez will leave without to much fuzz, while I expect to be a big fight over Vanmarcke. Just got a message regarding stat-increase for Vanmarcke. Currently unsure whether to train him as climberV1 or TimeTrial... |
