It's a very very nice team you have here. I'm very curious as to which riders will get priority in training...

Thanks. The problem is I have only 1M left for training. But you can already find out who will be trained by checking my team stats for 2013, which are posted in the general transfer discussion topic

With that amount left, it's a no brainer without looking. Either 80MO to Velits or 80HI to Sanchez Gil. And having already 81 or so with Gesink, I reckon the MO to Velits has been priority 1
I really can't decide what to do with my training money. My two best riders are both too old to train, and I don't really think Ulissi will benefit all that much by being 82HI...

My first plan was to have Gesink 83 into hills and have him dominate one week stage - races. But then I was forced to used those training money to buy Velits and LLS. And I think I've made a very good choice by brining those 2 into the team.
I think you're right with Ulissi not benefiting that much from the training with Bakelants, Hagen and Schleck set to dominate the classics.

Yeah you did very well. I think you will be placed above me this year.
Exactly. Ulissi needs some resistance and mountainstats, but it's way too expensive to train him in those areas which leaves me at training him in HI... And seeing that he will never be able to compete with Bakelants or Schleck I think it's rather pointless to use 3mio on making him take 100 points more than he did last season.
But whether or not Chris Anker should be 80MO or training Mollema 78HI or something like that is difficuelt

You're not allowed to train Mollema
At the beginning of the transfer window, I've offered Christer Ardila for Mollema. He said he was interested but that he would have to wait to see who else he will sign before confirming a deal. Later, you came with your offer for Ardila which included Castroviejo and since Christer was still not sure if he could accept my offer I decided to make a deal with you for Ardila. Then I saw your deal with Christer for those 2 riders. Mollema should have been mine!

Hehe already promised him to DD if I don't train him
Both deals were good for me imo. First Castroviejo for Ardila and then Ardila for Mollema, Chris Anker and money...
You can say that I made a deal like this:
Jonathan Castroviejo <-> Bauke Mollema, Chris Anker Sørensen+50.000€
I'm kinda happy with that. But it wasn't really the plan to get rid of Ardila. It only happened because I made a mistake in my planner which resulted in me only ending up with 19 riders...

Jack Wolfskin never won a monument or Grand Tour - any chance that this will change for the project?
Oh and is the team time trial domination over?

We would like to remind our fellow managers that this is one of their last chances to send it any questions they have as there's not much time left until the presentation will start.

"We saw Project 1t4i going for the several Romanian riders on the transfer market, is their manager interested in eastern European cycling or it has another reason? And why he was not pursuing more the biggest talent from Romania, Eduar Grosu then?"

You have said that your team is no longer focussing on the TTT, and yet you can still field a very powerful TTT team including several dedicated TT riders, so really - has anything changed?

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen and welcome to team's Project 1t4i 2013 season presentation. This evening's event will be divided into 3 categories. And here's the first one.
The first section of our presentation contains a Q&A segment where we answer question received during the off-season from our fans but also from other team managers.
Before answering their question we would like to thank those managers for the interest they've showed in our team and also wish them good luck for the next season.
●●
"Jack Wolfskin never won a monument or Grand Tour - any chance that this will change for the project?
Oh and is the team time trial domination over?"
Smowz, manager of Simply Red Bull
The new sponsors have different goals from Jack Wolfskin, so yes, there'll be a lot more interest for the big races. Our current plan is to attack a GT in 2015 with a better and more experienced Robert Gesink than the one we saw taking a 10th place at the Tour de France 2 years ago.
The team time - trial domination seems indeed to be over, but we still hope we can achieve at least a top 3 in Copenhagen - Malmo TTT, which was our main goal last season.
●
"We saw Project 1t4i going for the several Romanian riders on the transfer market, is their manager interested in eastern European cycling or it has another reason? And why he was not pursuing more the biggest talent from Romania, Eduar Grosu then?"
Avin Wargunnson, manager of Metinvest - Emirates
Rumor has it that the sponsor behind Project 1t4i is a Romanian bank even though the license is still a Dutch one. If that rumor proves to be true we could expect a bigger involvement on the Eastern European market.
We've tried to sign Eduard Grosu, but realized that Metinvest were very serious about gaining his services as well, so we decided that it wouldn't be good for either team to raise his price too high even though a rider of his talent deserves a big pay check.
●
"You have said that your team is no longer focussing on the TTT, and yet you can still field a very powerful TTT team including several dedicated TT riders, so really - has anything changed?"
CountArach, manager of Team Bpost
A lot has changed. We don't have riders like Dominique Cornu, Ruben Plaza, Dennis Van Winden or Jason Donald in our team anymore which were some of the main engines in our train.
It's true that we still have some very good time - trialists, but we couldn't afford to let them all go. The change will be easier to spot next year.
●
"Which teams do you see as your main competitors this year, in regards of official on personal goals of the season?"
SotD, manager of Festina-Canal+
Well, it depends from the point of view in this matter. Our main goal this season is to win Tour de Romandie, which is also UBS' goal so I guess we'll see big fight between our teams at that race.
Festina always seemed to try to steal our glory in team time - trials and with so many of our time - trialists gone, they might finally be some real contenders for our crown.
Also, there's a strong rivalry between Gesink and Pluchkin or between Gesink and Trofimov, so I guess B&O and Sony Ericsson can be categorized as rival teams.
●●
We've also received a lot of letters from our fans from all round the World and we've decided to answer to some of the most interesting questions.
●
"I've been a fan of your team since 2010 and my favorite rider is Robert Gesink. Any chance you might want sign another big Dutch talent in the years to come?"
Peter, the Netherlands
Yes, of course we will try to sign Dutch talents. Ramon Sinkeldam and Wesley Kreder joined the team this year and there are plenty of other talented riders in the junior races ready to be offered a contract.
●
"It's awesome to see a Malaysian rider in your team! You definitely have my support for this year. Maybe the following seasons you could sign more Asian riders?"
Wan, Malaysia
Well, we're glad that you'll be supporting our team thanks to Mohammand Saufi Mat Senan, but the Asian market isn't really a big focus for us at the moment. Still, for a big talent we might make an exception.
●
"Are you serious about this? Do you guys even know what cycling is? How can you not offer Julien Simon a leading role for the classics? He deserves something way better than being the fourth option for a leading role. I hate your team!"
Pierre, France
We are sorry you feel that way even though we understand why you're such a big fan of Julien. Still, when he signed the contract he was fully aware and happy with his position in the team.
●
"Gesink is great both as a person and as a rider, but what about Dekker? We want Thomas back in the Netherlands."
Ruben, the Netherlands
Thomas Dekker has been on my mind since the day we joined the Pro Tour, but never made an official offer. I don't think Robert and he would get along too well. So as long as Gesink will ride for us, it's very unlikely to see Dekker wearing our shirt.
●
"It's great to see two Romanian riders in the Pro Tour, especially since I'm a big fan of Andrei Nechita. Any other Romanian signings prepared for the future?"
Andrei, Romania
We've wanted to sign a few Romanian stagiares this year, but sadly our budget didn't allow us to. But there's definitely a big chance to see more Romanian riders joining our team in the future.
●
"I know you still have a few Spanish riders in your team, but I'm very sad with the departure of Ruben Plaza. Why was he fired?"
Juan, Spain
Ruben Plaza wasn't fired. Far from that actually. 2012 wasn't a season as good as 2011 for him so he decided to take a new step in his career by joining a Pro Continental Team.
And that concludes the first part of our presentation. Stay tuned for more.

Team presentation Part Two: Equipment
Welcome back to the second chapter of our show. It's now time to see how the team will look like in 2013, "fashion" wise.
First, we have the main shirt, already presented a while back. The shirt is mainly white with insertions of blue and black, but we hope that our leaders won't spend too much time in it as they'll be busy finding the right sizes for the yellow jerseys that they are going to wear.
Next we have the Dutch shirt. Last year, Posthuma proved to be the strongest rider in both the road race and the time - trial, which means he will be wearing this shirt all season long, no matter what type of race he's riding.
Peter Velits, one of this year's new names, is the Slovakian time - trial champion, which means that he'll be wearing a special shirt during time - trials. And here it is:
For the past 2 seasons, Andrei Nechita has been the Romanian national champion in both the road race and the time - trial. This year he's finally riding with the team and he'll get the chance to show off his jersey even though it will probably just be at the back of the pack.
We would like to thank Will007, our shirt designer since 2011, for creating this beautiful shirts. We hope our riders will wear his shirts on the podium as often as possible.
