There are at the moment several rumours around the HQ during the last few weeks and the season is slowly coming close to an end all gathered by the:
Secret Man-Game magazine, so secret no one knows who is writing it
The teams face will look diffrent next season with De la Fuente, Lloret, Cobo, Rooijakkers and Duenas definately leaving the team.
We haven't found out so far if they will be resigned or not. But it seems to be likely that they won't be resigned as "they seem not to be great transfer assets".
Cunego might stay for next season.
The manager was very happy that Cunego lead very much on his own the first ProTour season for Lotto to a success having avoided relegation and are close to a Top 10 finish at the end of the season.
Therefore the manager is said to be interested in keeping him but one of those options needed to be fulfilled plus that the teams wage structure won't be in difficulties having him.
There were 2 options for the manager that would resign him:
1st - His wage goes down, but that is now not just unlikely but simply won't happen, so it was changed to "will have a similar wage level"
2nd - He wins the italian or (and) the world championship, time trials excluded
A very strong rumour says Ciolek will definately leave the team no matter what happens.
Our informations are that Ciolek will be resigned but will be "definately transfered".
Whilst Ciolek leaving, Claeys won't be leaving.
But Monfort might be available for the right offer.
That, Ciolek leaving the team, would mean that just 2 from the original 2010 LEGO team would be left with Moschella and Libert.
The informations for next seasons squad:
Looking to resign but might not be if the wage goes too high:
Cunego
Will be resigned and not very (very) likely to leave:
Claeys, Croket, Stauff, Vanderaerden, Moschella, Libert, Vermeltfoort and Ulanowski
Resigned but would be available for transfers:
Ciolek, Monfort, Bonnet, Hirschlein, Pereyra, Aramendia, Mazur
Won't be resigned:
Cobo, de la Fuente, Lloret, Rooijakkers and Duenas
With these informations it could be said that this team looks like to change slightly from the Bianchi season having at least 4 decent sprinters, not so much for the ardennes classics and also not so much left for the mountains. But with many question marks left there could be still some shift towards the mountains or the ardennes.
I am looking for a designer who is able to create a jersey or more plus some other stuff.
And I decided to write at the end a 2nd seasons half review including the Tour de France, instead of the planned Tour de France special and a rest of the season review.

I'm suprised to see that Ciolek is leaving.
And Pereyra may or may interest us. |

Well I will be always interested in Clayes/Mofort joining our team
Well done on your debut season, I think it's always a challenge moving up a division, and with some wise transfers this transition was pretty smooth for you. Now you can build on for next years quite well.

I am willing to sign just one rider this season, a hilly leader. Adding to my budget for 2014 and lefotvers from 2013 which I didn't spend. Don't get too excited about getting him haha

Ditto. And he's not my first choice but neither were Napolitano or Serpa |

I know everyone expects me to go for Ciolek
That said, I doubt he's worth the risk. If we were a safe PCT team, of course, but I won't needlessly risk my PT spot just for him. If he's cheap, why not though?
On the other hand, Claeys is a rider I'd really love to have.
Obviously it's the same for you, but in the end, it's all about the transfer fee, isn't it?

Well just to clear some expectations up:
Claeys is very very unlikely to go it needs a deal thats outstanding. The 2nd (very) is just because of him. Also trading Claeys means that I am not interested in 3 helpers or something but at least someone who is able to score (lots) of points at the PT.
Ciolek would be a diffrent story, I have already Stauff and 3 sprinters so either a better sprinter + some money from my budget or a non-sprinter/talent + money from your budget I might even dish out another sprinter because I guess 4 is 1 too much but it depends on their wage.
Monfort will be definately available for any transfer as I don't think he is anymore PT level but still decent/very decent for PCT/CT.
Well it will be hard to say something before knowing how much my best rider wants.
As if he stays it will be hard to get more leaders.
If not than I will in general look out for leaders because the team is at the PT to stay there.
I am interested in any kind of rider, but has to be PT level.
So mountain goats, ardennes classics riders, cobblers or better sprinters than Ciolek
TT is not so important for my team.. Just if there isn't going to be an really nasty TTT at one of the GTs.
EDIT:
The secret man-game magazine website got an exclusive video of how the manager wants to do the next transfer season: PNSFW

The team manager indicated that the future for the team might go up longer than a hill.
The secret man-game magazine had an interview with the teams manager and said interesting things:
"I really liked the teams outing at the mountains due to Cunegos performances this season. That gave me a big taste wanting to go further then just a hill."
"We are definately interested in getting better mountain rider and take revenge for the loss at this years tour. That was a punch right into the.. Are you allowed to print nuts in the UK? I don't know."
"Ideally I would like to keep Cunego. But the Tour showed he is no magician no more. We are still interested in working together but this might be his last season at top performance. So even if he stays I have to think about a 2nd mountain rider."
"We aren't afraid of throwing the money out of the window this transfer season, ok neither me or the person responsible for the finances at our HQ is scottish, but we are well in control of our finances. So maybe we could land a coup that isn't involving just a pence but a big bunch of paper."
"You ask about riders I am interested in.. Well.. So far I haven't made my mind up who exactly but when you are ambitious towards the mountains you can't get just someone hanging on for the Top 10, thats not where we want to go to."
"We are definately looking out for a Top 3/Top 5 Tour rider.
We want to go for the win at the Tour and challenge the top teams in the future."
"Ok! Ok! Pluchkin is a rider fitting into my plans. Are you happy now?
Go and write it to your magazine, website, social media and whatever you got..."
Anyone wanting Cunego?

Cunego you say? If I would have the money I could actually consider him... Cunego backed up by Topchanyuk and Kononenko would be cool

Regarding Cunego:
Well Cunego to CT is as realistic as I will become an astronaut this year.
Salary cap at CT is 1.2 million €. Cunegos wage is at the moment 1.3 million €.
I wouldn't expect it to go under 1 million. Also you need a minimum of riders so Cunego will never go that soon to the CT. Maybe in 4 seasons when his stats are down and so his wage would.
Regarding ze Germans:
Hirschlein maybe stays but maybe not.
Ciolek will definately go.
Stauff just if I get another sprinter I have in mind but in a diffrent deal as I won't swap Stauff with another sprinter.

PrivatBank can easily end in PCT, if there will be like 10 teams promoting...

I spoke about the CT and not PCT.
For PCT teams they need either 1. a lot of money which 99% won't happen or 2. great riders.
Can't see both at a new PCT team.

Yeah, i'm sure Cunego could really be Boss in those 25 days he'd have at CT level. Then again, i don't think that was meant fully seriously.
Anyway, if i'd make it in to the MG, i'm sure a rider like Vermeltfoort would be a good rider for a CT team, if it weren't for the xp level.

Vermeltfoort stays no matter what, ok overpriced offer could change that.
Spiritual successor of Rooijakkers who is going after this season as he is close to the career end. Want to have at least 1 fighter in the team.
