Very early for this. Hard to tell where Gilbert is with that mist. |

It's good chance to make this race hard for Gilbert, even if he comes back later on. And he seemed to be dropped.

This is fucking murderous. They'll have little left at the Ghisallo, let alone that final climb. |

The organization made an effort, I like the marks on the road of the altitude!
Rodriguez looking good, let's get that UCI Ranking

Is true. Sky's Colombians looking good.
EDIT: Nibali, J-Rod, Contador, Mollema, Uran, Henao, and a Movistar rider...
Small groups coming over, peloton gone. I think a good sized group will come back together.

Purito needs a Top 10 today to win the UCI WT Ranking. It was his goal to win the ranking this year, and is now looking good to achieve this.

Yeah, I mean, I know Contador never passes the eye test, but J-Rod looked by far the easiest up the climb.

I hope Gilbert wins and Rodriguez is second
However, Gilbert isn't looking the strongest atm, but that could still change. |

Isn't the Movistar rider Quintana?
Gilbert doesn't look good atm. Dan Martin is far back as well.

Yes. And I'm agreed with Fickman. We get it, Lombardy is beautiful, go back to the race. |

The 35-45 group will come back together. Whether they make it up to the leading seven is a different story.
EDIT: Especially with Samu leading them down the climb

I think it depends on if they want to make this hard for Gilbert or if they'll chicken out. Purito has Losada just a few seconds ahead if he wants someone to pace the group.

Rai Sport:
there is no filming on the descent because it was decided that motorbikes near the riders would have been dangerous
