Stage 7 Paris Nice
Although the last time trial is just 9km long, today is the final day where Movistar riders have the chance to make a diference.
With 60 km to go we start the Col du Vence 1st category climb. This climb should be decisive. After a great work of Konovalovas and Plaza, it is now Bruseghin and Lastras who have the mission to increase the pace. The break has 2 minutes that must be smoked shortly.
With 3.5km to the end of the climb and after Bruseghin and Lastras finish their work Valverde attacks.
At the top of the Col du Vence Valverde has 1'07 on the peloton. Is it enough to get to the finish?
With 15km to go Radioshack gets Valverde. And let's see if he's gonna pay for the risks he took.
Lastras launches Agostinho and he gets the third place. Boasson Hagen took the win, with Freire in 2nd. Valverde was exausthed but managed to finish with the leaders.

The time trial is the last stage. Anything can happen now, although it's almost impossible to get to the 1st place, with Chavanel performing really good on this Paris-Nice. Lots of good time trialists are in good position, so it will be hard!
Coming up next...the Paris-Nice final day... |

Stage 8 Paris-Nice
Today we have a diferent profile from the first time trial, as that one was flat and this is good for climbers.
Agostinho is going slow today. Acusing his lack of experience he passes through the intermediate time in 35th place, losing 37 seconds to Kloden, who had set the best time.
Although he improved in the final kms he finnished in 29th, 48 seconds down, and losing 7 places on overall classification. Also Poels was stronger and got the white jersey from Agostinho.
Chavanel hold quite well, and manage to get the overall lead. What a win!

Milan San Remo
With Rojas and Ventoso for a bunch sprint, with Lastras, Costa, Valverde and Visconti for the hilly last kms, Agostinho and Erviti are the guys to work when the road inclines so that the pure sprinters don't get to finish in front and try to split the peloton. A lot of work is expected from Agostinho today and the conversation with the team manager was also about this race.
Completing the first half of the race, there is a break with 9'30 on the peloton: Malori, Puccio, Rasch and Bertolini.
With 60km to go the break has now under 4 minutes of advance to the peloton that is being controlled by the sprinters teams: Liquigas working for Sagan, Lotto working for Greipel and GreenEdge working for Goss. Sky has a man on the break so they're just shielding the Manx Man.
With 35km to go and after Erviti gave everything to increase the pace, is now the time for Agostinho to increase the pace. Let's see if he can damage the main sprinters.
Seems like Agostinho's work has broke the peloton and now there are only 31 riders in the front. Lotto gives everything to rejoin as Greipel was left behind. Cavendish is also on Greipel's group, as these are good news to Goss, Farrar, Renshaw, Freire, Boonen, Kristoff and Sagan, as they managed to stay. 20km to go.
Movistar very high pace made the group move to the final sprint...
And Oscar Freire wins Milan San Remo, beating Ventoso...Rojas didn't manage to get to the front, but still he made a top 10, as well as Visconti with a 6th place.

Stage 3 Volta Ciclista a Catalunya
With such a monstrous profile today is for sure a day for the climbers.
After severeal attempts finally a break is formed: Rui Costa has Madrazo working for him, but there are other very good riders: Lund, Pantano, Marino, Tankink, Izagirre, Kessiakoff and Cesar Veloso. Madrazo's work made a gap of 9'17 to the peloton with 120km to go.
Sky's work is paying of and as we start the 25km special category climb Port del Canto the break only has 4'44 on the peloton.
With 5km to the end of the climb Costa attacks, with Kessiakoff following. Madrazo is exausthed.
Costa managed to get off Kessiakoff, while Riblon and Van den Broeck (not dangerous to overall, as he's 13 minutes away from yellow) have joined the chasers group. With 30km to go Costa has 1'35 to the chasers group and 2'39 to the peloton.
With 5.6km to go Costa is caught. Valverde is with the leaders, so he still can be of use.
And Froome was the strongest winning the stage and the yellow.
Valverde was 2nd, and is 5 th overall now. Costa managed a 14th place, being 20th overall.

Today the team will be in 3 countries at the same time, as Movistar is facing 3 competitions on one day.

On the cobbles, the team didn't have any chances, with Rojas being the best among Movistar's riders finishing in 40st place. Cancellara beated Boonen by 45 seconds. Bad luck for Leukemans and Van Summeren as they will both miss the rest of the cobble classics this year.
