What a win for Van Leijen
I agree with fernando, some boni seconds would be excellent! |

6 seconds sounds easy to get but in the Tour Down Under it may as well be 6 minutes |

Rojas and Costa have been doing very well so far. Some surprising winners so far in the TdU as well. Pretty exciting race, enjoying it a lot

@ fernando: for sure and thank you
@ all: 6 seconds will be hard to get, but I'll try
@ Alakagom: Yeah, they have been in some decent form, and very exciting indeed.
Tour Down Under Stage 6
Race Report
The breakaway of the day, was never given much time ahead of the peloton, but just enough that no one could brdge the gap and take any boni seconds. However with points being given out to 5 riders in the KOM's and only 4 in the break the opportunity to get 8 points for Amador, enough to help him win the competition was too much to pass by, so he went on the attack and gained 4 points.
However after that, he was considered dangerous and brought back by the pack.
Now on the final loop, Pablo Lastras makes a move, in an effort to follow the one lone leader up ahead. But both are brough back.
As the sprint begins, Kruopis gets to a fast start, and luckily for us, Rojas is on his wheel. He is in great position with only 700m left!
And as we get closer to the line, it becomes clear that Rojas will win the stage, and also pick up 10 bonification seconds! What a way to end off the Tour! But will he also get the GC?

Thanks all! It was a really great way to finish. I was shocked that I picked the correct wheel to follow finally. I was expecting Rojas to get caught from as his sprint started really early, but he was able to keep it going.
Next up is San Luis and GP of Marseillaise.

Startlist
Stage 1
The first stage comes down to a sprint, and Fran Ventoso on his new team Geox, gets the stage win!
1 | Francisco Ventoso | Team Geox | 3h45'49 | 2 | Reinardt Janse van Rensburg | MTN - Qhubeka | s.t. | 3 | Jacopo Guarnieri | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 4 | Samuel Dumoulin | Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne | s.t. | 5 | Roberto Ferrari | Androni Giocattoli - Venezuela | s.t. |
Stage 2
In stage 2, it comes down to another sprint, and the Astana and Geox teams both had the best trains, with Guarnieri getting the win!
1 | Jacopo Guarnieri | Astana Pro Team | 3h21'44 | 2 | Samuel Dumoulin | Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne | s.t. | 3 | Francisco Ventoso | Team Geox | s.t. | 4 | Angelo Furlan | Christina Watches - Onfone | s.t. | 5 | Adrien Petit | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. |
Stage 3
Stage 3 nearly saw a breakaway win, but in the final metres, Moncoutie sprinted past them, to take the win! Surprisingly, there were not too many gaps in the front groups.
1 | David Moncoutié | Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne | 4h51'07 | 2 | Robert Kiserlovski | Astana Pro Team | + 10 | 3 | Stefan Schumacher | Christina Watches - Onfone | s.t. | 4 | Chris Anker Sørensen | Team Saxo Bank - Tinkoff Bank | s.t. | 5 | Luis León Sánchez | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. |
Stage 4 ITT
Stage 4 an ITT was a great day for Caisse, as Luis Leon Sanchez was able to win the stage, by a good margin, and also move into 1st place overall, with his commanding performance.
Stage:
1 | Luis León Sánchez | Caisse d'Epargne | 26'56 | 2 | Vladimir Karpets | Team Geox | + 23 | 3 | Kanstantsin Siutsou | Sky Pro Cycling | + 29 | 4 | Stephen Cummings | BMC Racing Team | + 38 | 5 | Linus Gerdemann | RadioShack Nissan Trek | + 41 |
Overall:
1 | Luis León Sánchez | Caisse d'Epargne | 12h25'46 | 2 | Vladimir Karpets | Team Geox | + 23 | 3 | Kanstantsin Siutsou | Sky Pro Cycling | + 29 | 4 | Stephen Cummings | BMC Racing Team | + 38 | 5 | Linus Gerdemann | RadioShack Nissan Trek | + 41 |
Stage 5
Now on Stage 5, the breakaway did finally get a stage win, as no one wanted to help Caisse chase down the break. With a 4 min gap at 10km to go, it was a miracle that they were caught on the line, for just under a 1 min time gap. LL will be very happy with that, and so can Cofidis who won their 2nd stage of the race with Zingle!
1 | Romain Zingle | Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne | 3h59'13 | 2 | Leonardo Giordani | Farnese Vini - Selle Italia | s.t. | 3 | Ivan Santaromita | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 4 | Evgeni Petrov | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 5 | Juan Pablo Suarez | Colombia - Coldeportes | + 39 | 6 | David Moncoutié | Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne | s.t. | 7 | Tesfay Abrhaha | MTN - Qhubeka | + 51 | 8 | Chris Anker Sørensen | Team Saxo Bank - Tinkoff Bank | s.t. | 9 | Luis León Sánchez | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. | 10 | Kanstantsin Siutsou | Sky Pro Cycling | s.t. |
Stage 6
Stage 6 was another flat stage, where Caisse had to do all the work, bringing back the BOTD. They were successful, and Luis Leon even did well in the sprint to get 3rd, with Gatto getting the stage win!
1 | Oscar Gatto | Farnese Vini - Selle Italia | 5h50'26 | 2 | Samuel Dumoulin | Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne | s.t. | 3 | Luis León Sánchez | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. | 4 | Manuel Cardoso | Caja Rural | s.t. | 5 | Francisco Ventoso | Team Geox | s.t. |
Stage 7
The final stage, again came down to a sprint, meaning LL Sanchez was the race winner, but this time, oddly enough Caisse were helped chasing down the breakaway! Cardoso won the sprint, but more importantly for us, we won the Race! We are now 2/2 on the season.
1 | Manuel Cardoso | Caja Rural | 4h19'32 | 2 | Oscar Gatto | Farnese Vini - Selle Italia | s.t. | 3 | Francisco Ventoso | Team Geox | s.t. | 4 | Manuele Mori | Lampre - ISD | s.t. | 5 | Jonas Aaen Jørgensen | Team Saxo Bank - Tinkoff Bank | s.t. |
Final Overall:
1 | Luis León Sánchez | Caisse d'Epargne | 26h35'44 | 2 | Evgeni Petrov | Astana Pro Team | + 27 | 3 | Romain Zingle | Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne | + 32 | 4 | Kanstantsin Siutsou | Sky Pro Cycling | + 33 | 5 | David Moncoutié | Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne | + 38 |

@ sutty: Thanks! Was a great win!
@ Miguel: Thanks, was tough bringing back the breaks every day.
GP la Marseillaise
Race Report
The stage starts out with a breakaway! Konovalovas is able to represent the team, but with the race being a classic, the peloton wasn't going to let the breakaway stay clear this time, so with 60km its all back to one big group!
On one of the final climbs, a group of leaders forms, and Valls, and Kiryienka both miss the move, but try to bring it back on the descent! This never works out, so they tell the Caisse riders in the peloton to chase the leaders down and it pays off!
But that doesnt stop David Le Lay, and Sergio Henao from making a late attack, and with just over 1km it looks like one of these riders will settle for the win!
And in the sprint, Henao wins it! Great ride from him, and finally a good result for Team Sky!
1 | Sergio Henao | Sky Pro Cycling | 3h44'47 | 2 | David Le Lay | Saur - Sojasun | s.t. | 3 | Cyril Gautier | Team Europcar | s.t. | 4 | Dario Cataldo | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step | s.t. | 5 | Francesco Gavazzi | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 6 | David Tanner | Team Saxo Bank - Tinkoff Bank | s.t. | 7 | Grega Bole | Lampre - ISD | s.t. | 8 | Daniele Pietropolli | Lampre - ISD | s.t. | 9 | Sandy Casar | FDJ - BigMat | s.t. | 10 | Lloyd Mondory | Ag2r - La Mondiale | s.t. | ... | 21 | Rafael Valls | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. | 38 | Vasil Kiryienka | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. | 41 | Marzio Bruseghin | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. | 43 | Arnaud Coyot | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. |
