Could I ask please for the stats for each of the teams just to see how they've developed.
Keep it up, I've certainly enjoyed it so far. |

TDU - Stage 1
As usual a flurry of attacks opened the stage.
Hata tried to follow some, but none stuck
After 10km the break went away.
Markus (ARG), Van Winden (RAB), Adams (Sky) and Balck (LTE) built up a 5'30 advantage.
Adams took the first IS, ahead of Van Winden and Markus.
Markus won the KoM, ahead of Adams and Balck
Adams won the final IS, ahead of Markus and Van Winden
The break was caught with 10km to go.
Lotto were organized down the center, Swatch on the left, and Katusha on the right.
Chavanel piloted Goethals to 2km to go. Goethals kicked clear of the pack, and things were looking good.
Bos and the rest started sprinting at 1.5km to pull past.
Boeckmans burst at 900m!
and straight into a fading Goethals....
Bos dashed clear to win ahead of Goss and Farrar...
Boeckmans got clear with 300m to go, and peaked at a speed of 75km/h on the line... He would have won by a mile!!!!!!
Top 5
1st Bos (SWA)
2nd Goss (MOV)
3rd Farrar (GRS)
4th Boeckmans (LTE)
5th Degenkolb
DS; Balck did well to get in the break, allowing the rest to take it easy. LTE were all over the lead out! It should have been easy! WHY!
It wasn't Goethals fault, it was a crowded finish. All he has to do is get Boeckmans a win for all to be forgiven.
Overall a good first day, 7/10.
Other News
KazMunayGas are withdrawing at the end of the season. One of the dominant teams of the last few years there look to be a few transfers out of the squad. Rumors are that Astana may make a return.
Sharp, of Garmin-Sharp, are also withdrawing. Barracuda are favorites to return to the secondary sponsor role.

I hope Arashiro wins a stage (even though he's not the main sprinter) |

better late than never....
B&O - Tinkoff Bank
Contador is the clear leader, supported well by Uran. Nuyens and Haedo are still there, and still key to the team. Martin struggles but still has class.
Cantia Tollo - Selle Italia
Vavnendert is the main leader. Pozzato is the current WC.
Coca-Cola
Cancellara is still just a beast. Gesink and Rodriguez can win GT's. Kreuziger targets the early short tours.
Dexia - Belisol
Greipel leads the team. Martin targets the GT's. One of our two main rival teams.
Euskatel - Euskadi
Gasparotto leads the team. The rest can scrabble decent finishes together.
Ferrari - ISD
Rojas and Hagen are the leaders. Gavazzi and Guardini are strong helpers.
Brief intro to the first 6 WT teams. More to come later

and here is the rest...
Garmin - Sharp
Farrar, Cardoso and Fernandez lead the team. Not as strong as they used to be
Generali - Geox
Wiggins and Visconti are the key men.
Katusha
Probably the strongest team in the WT...
(I still need to edit Wiles down, dont worry he shouldnt win for a year or two)
KazMunayGas
Nibali leads, Henao is best of a very strong support set.
Movistar
Cunego, Sagan and Goss are main leaders. A strong support team as well.
OmegaPharma - Quickstep
Boonen is king of the team. Cataldo will be one to watch, as will Gilbert. Our main rivals!
Rabobank
Froome leads. Again a strong rest of the squad.
Sky
Cavendish leads a flat based team. Many brits.
Swatch
Scarponi, Bos and Vansumeren attack the 3 fronts of cycling.
Vacansoleil - Telenet
Ballan and Mollema head the team.
Team Argos - Shimano
Boom attacks cobbles as leader. A decent squad in depth.
That covers the WT teams.
If you want to see any Conti teams just ask. Same if you want to know what happened to a rider
Racing should resume tomorrow

Frank Schleck and Johnny Hoogerland both have the same mountain and hill stats!? Wouldn't have predicted that. |

Katusha is damn strong, but Rabobank is pretty strong, too (mostly because of Froome) |

An Post - Sean Kelly

FDJ - Bigmat

Thats a lot of teams, but the ProConti tour is very competitive now.
