lol stupid game like hockey manager...
actually eastside hockey manager was done by SI and had a few brilliant minds behind it. most of the new features now being put in FM have been in EHM for a long time.

pffff....addicts (I'm kidding. I used to play that game a lot years ago )
I meanwhile have found out a way to see games for free using the bwin.com website, so I'm watching Porto and happy as a clam

I'm playing as Liverpool FC as usual, and I'm currently 2nd i Premier League, 3 points behind Chelsea, and I'm in early March. I play a 4-2-3-1 formation where the wingers have arrows to Striker spots. I sold Crouch,Kuyt and Xabi (Board accepted a £25mil bid from Real Madrid) and bought:
Michael Owen £13,5mil
Lukas Podolski £7mil
Valon Behrami £20mil
Mika Ääritalo £750k
Breno £2,9mil
Evan Banega £5mil
I like my tactic cuz my wingers are scoring like mad, especially Kewell and Babel. Torres leads the assist league.
1st line-up (RESERVES)
GK: Reina (Bouzanis)
DL: Fabio Aurélio (Arbelóa)
DC: Agger (Hyypiä)
DC: Carragher (Breno)
DR: Behrami (Finnan)
DM: Sissoko (Lucas Leiva)
DM: Mascherano (Banega)
AML: Kewell (Riise)
AMC: Gerrard (Benayoun)
AMR: Babel (Pennant)
ST: Torres (Owen,Podolski)
I really recommend Owen as a last quarter sub when you have a one goal lead. Against Lyon in CL I lead 1-0 and put him on in 79th, he scored a hat-trick (84,89,93)
Results.
League (2nd)
League Cup (Out in Quarter Final) played youth team
FA cup: Out in Quarter
CChampions League: Right now in Quarter final against CSKA Moscow |

You're only 2nd with Liverpool
I'm 1st with Man City, after 12 games
I've only signed Defoe, and have Potenza, Ruben Olivera and some left winger from Werder Bremen on loan

Well I took charge of them in late November, and then they were 15th, with just 2 wins. So I think I've done a good job |

THE BEST TALENTS IN FM08: (IF YOU DON'T WANT IT SPOILT LOOK AWAY NOW!)
~~~~~~~~
Aaron (Valencia)
Banega (Boca Juniors)
Bojan (barcelona)
Vega (Arsenal)
Saivet (Bordeaux)
Ääritalo (Turun Pallosaara)
Dos Santos (barcelona)
Breno (Sao Paulo)
Edited by Addy: just made it more obvious and hopefully easier for people to stay away from this post if they don't want to know
although some of them are obvious like Bojan and dos Santos, and all are pretty much impossible to sign
Who cares about talents? at Gateshead its all about the free transfers, and regens. I dont think I have a sinle payer with premiership experience - although my regen goalkeeper has the quality. I have him prices at whopping 1m pounds, which is enough to scare off the pursuers so far. I have also iven him maz salary to keep as happy as possible.
I have sold two other good midfielder for 500k each, which is ood money in league 1
in fact just so you know what you've done zutcorp, i am now starting a new season with...York City, god have mercy on all our souls
In case you don't know, York City are awful and don't deserve to be in the Blue Square Premier Division. Just last week the were knowcked out of the 1st round of the FA cup by...Havant and Waterlooville
Havant and Waterlooville are in the Blue Square South, and absolutley battered York
ah yes, and there's also the problem with FM08 that is: no team closes down. ever. ever.
they've been promising a patch to fix this "very soon" since the day of release. still nothing so far.
