(as you can see I didn't even touch him)
I like this new diving feature. especially because Villa was computer controlled and the ref gave him a yellow card for diving
Well, I hope that one of my school mates choose Sporting as club...Liedson is out at the second minute for accumulation of yellow cards...

the usb ports can be used to connect the psp to the ps3, for example, and Isso already got the backwards compatability bit.
@Issoisso
Have you found the controls for diving yet? the CPU has a dived quite a few times, including one time in the box at 89 mins...and he got a yellow card - I was on the edge of my seat for a minute though!
thanks
this diving feature sounds really interesting, it will be good to play with Man City and see Ronaldo get booked for diving

Hmpf. I don't get it. Why do the button configuration show a picture of a Xbox 360 controller? This is a PC, and it's a PC game. I don't have X, O or anything else like that on my controller. I got 1, 2, 3, 4, etc., etc.. PES6 had the exact same problem.
Secondly, because of that, it's so damn difficult to configure the controller. I mean, it takes time to figure out what X corresponds to, what O corresponds to, what Triangle corresponds to. Can't be that difficult to adapt the game to PC-controllers. |

it was a port from the X360 demo. that's why.
yeah, it sucks, but since the basic controls are exactly the same since PS1 and since the game was designed for a PS1 controller, I still refer to the buttons by their playstation names.
so: diving is the following 3 buttons at the same time:
1.the sprint button
2.the button that most people think is used for nothing
3.the button that changes the player you're controlling when you're defending.
also, about what I said above, I counted the ways I know how to dribble people. 26. unless I miscounted

Well, it was the same with PES6 - just that it was a PS2-controller there. It's so stupid. |

a PS2 controller is perfectly logical, considering it's what the game was designed for. but an X360 one just screams "hasty port"

Yes, but most developers would still be kind enough to change the controller-thingie into a PC-one, so it was easier to change the configurations.
I mean, if I used the original configurations I would have to shoot with triangle (button 2 on my controller), run with R2 (8), etc., etc.. |

2 is square. and it IS the shooting button. unless your controller ignores convention.
and that's a problem with your controller. at school when we have nothing to do or are on a break, we play PES a lot. over half a dozen different controllers, and all of them were automatically set right to exactly how the Playstation ones are.
so...it's your controller, not the software

we mostly use Logitech Rumblepad 2. works like a charm and will last for a long time.
just one complaint: it has the stupidest button ever....a vibrate button. push it....and it vibrates wtf???
EDIT: also, it has 2 analog sticks beside the directional one. the right analog stick is a must if you really want to get into dribbling (which is basically all I do. I care about doing flashy good looking moves, not the result )

Well, thing is .. I'm not even sure I'll buy PES7 for PC. I'm so much into my PSP right now that it seems like the best option.
Also, I couldn't play the demo smoothly on my laptop |

keyboard will do fine
but controller is hardcore, yo! seriously though, keyboard is fine. a controller is just designed for it, so it'll "feel right"

You don't need it, but, well, I can't play games like that without a controller, simply because I have always played that kind of games on my console. But since I've sold my PS2, and since I've decided not to buy a PS3, I got myself a controller for PC. Only problem is that it's so, so, so bad. |

but again, is the problem with your laptop that the graphics card sucks but the processor is decent or even good? if so, I can tell you how to get the processor to compensate
(I'm not even going to go through the basics like "did you set the graphics to low?"

it's an insane sight to go into a room at school and see 6 of us holding these hovering around a laptop during a break

My graphics card is pretty decent (GF 7600), so it's probably my processor (1.6 ghz AMD Turion 64 X2). I haven't seen anywhere that you could adjust the graphic settings in the demo? |

there's a "settings" file in your PES folder
you can also adjust the controller there. and it's A LOT EASIER to do it through there.
