And there we are... I hope that people don't mind the length. The Olympics are only on every 4 years so a chance to report them only comes around every 4. It seemed worthwhile to put the effort in.
Congratulations to all the medallists!

Thanks mb and Countarach - both of you were perhaps perfectly suited to the races.
mb's on the cuff reporting made the road race in my opinion more exciting then it had a right to be. Meanwhile Count's unbelievable detail made the TT a very readable event.
The two Americans have dominated these TT's Rogers seems to have no answer and Coppel is destined for that 2nd or 3rd place. Pozzato shocked me in the RR, was this planned by the Italian team or... we recall as ever the discussions in the selections but whatever it worked fro Italy!

A little bit disappointed with Gesink's performance. But having 3 riders in the top 10 will make up for it.
Again, amazing report!

Happy with 8th, 10th and 11th for the Vesuvio trio - and for Tennant to secure a Top 20
A surprise aswell to see Phinney miss the podium!
Very well reported!

So there won't be the "B" Olympics?
Great reporting on both races, even though I had just Ciolek in it and I even don't wanted him at the German team as I knew he will be dropped and won't make it to the Top 10 or so

Another great report. It was very detailed, as it should be for such a huge event, and very enjoyable, just as mb's RR. Great victory for Zabriskie, who was vastly superior, congrats to Dave Z and Pendleton's Twicer!

CountArach do you still have hands after that? (Or did they fall off)
Stunning report. Glad to see an American win.

Well done by Larsson, he has been great through the whole season when fighting the clock on his own. Congratulations to Zabriskie and Pendleton's, he was superb! |

Great report. Happy with that bronze medal, but Jerome's gold time will come in Rio for sure!

Fantastic hand-breaker report Both olympic races were a bit boring racing-wise,but you guys made them look so dramatic.
Congrats to Dave Z, surprised to see Phinney without a medal, he was my secret pick.

Thanks everyone for letting me know you enjoyed it. I sometimes get the feeling that I'm going too far with the detail, but as long as everyone seems to like it...

Add to that the fact that I wrote 1800 words of my thesis earlier in the day and I think my wrists were screaming at me

Great report there - very good read and for a TT too!
Can have no real complaints - Rogers beaten by the better rider. Well done to Dave Z and congrats to Wacko! |
