I find both Valverde and Rodriguez boring in mountain stages. (not in hills where they do the occasional early attacks...) They both do the same although I would like to note Valverde saves his attacks to even the last 200m sprint.. he rides mountains like a sprinter.
Rodriguez attacks at 1km/800m to go. But it's still a negative style of racing.
Wiggins isn't really a wheelsucker, as soon as others attack he takes up the pace himself when his team is gone and ride his own pace up the climb. It might not be a spectacular as an acceleration, but its still sort-of-an attack/counter attack to me.
Same with Evans, Basso, Gesink and other tempo climbers. People mistakenly see an acceleration as the only form of attack. While a steadily increasing pace is actually an attack as well... (because it drops riders!)
I don't remember Wiggins really attacking with his tempo the way Basso does.
For Valverde, I would raise you a Dauphine victory, which he attacked to win.
For me Wiggins could be useful if his presence inspires other people to attack, but in of himself he doesn't ever do anything exciting. As such a race which Wiggins wins is almost certainly going to be a dull one, and as such, I want him to come no where near victory in the tour.

It would probably be better if he was very close to victory in the Tour because then people would be attacking all the time...

I'm curious about Van Den Broeck, he's been training a lot in the mountains.

I've been saving this for a year now, let's see if Van Dongen's prediction is correct.
Van Dongen has the highest expectations for his (Wilco Kelderman) protégé. “Lars Boom won the prologue the Critérium du Dauphiné today. Next year, Wilco will do the same.” |

I don't trust any guy named "Van Dong-en"
That's the worst name I've heard since CNN interviewed a korean violinist named "Dong Suk"

Durbirdge sets best time with 06:39. Quite a nice time. Martin starting in 10 minutes.

Tejay Van Garderen in with 06:50 and Vino with 06:57 places them both 13th and 18th so far.

It's official, Barredo beats Tony Martin in a prologue
